This unique bungalow with a Frida flair is set in Austin's East Side. Walkable to some of the coolest restaurants, grocery store, and liquor shop, you will love love love the location. The house is curated for sweet comfort and everything a traveler might need.

I saw Frida's image in a Mexico City museum in 1986. Now she is iconic and a symbol of strength, beauty, and innovation. So welcome to our Frida House!

You will enter into the living room. Our cushy couch will beg you to rest. Our smart TV is a Samsung Frame TV with art when it is resting. The bedroom is off the living room with a comfy queen bed and a desk for working. Also off the living room is the full bathroom with an antique tub and a shower. The kitchen has everything you may need to cook a meal and a small dining for an intimate meal. The small fenced back yard is large enough for a table, squirrels, and maybe even a stray cat. This is also where you will find the two bikes for exploring.

That is it! Small, but we try to pack as much art, color, and sweet amenities for your stay.

The house is located on a busy street so it can be noisy. We do provide ear plugs and a sound machine. The location is GREAT! You can walk across the street to a cool liquor store or a not-so -cool convenient store. A few blocks away is HEB, our big grocery store. So, yes, on a busy street but very convenient.

The driveway is narrow, but would easily fit two cars. There is free on-street parking around the corner.

Is the house a stand alone home?
Yes! It is the cutest little cottage

Is the space wheelchair friendly?
There are two steps up to the house. The house is one level but the doorways are not wide.

What is in walking distance (within 1/2 mile)?

How do I check in?
A day or two before your arrival, we send the details for your check in: address, door code, wifi info. You will be able to come and go using a code. If there are problems with the lock, we can direct you to a physical key.

Can I extend a stay?
To extend a stay, you can request through the app or message us. We will check the calendar then send confirmation with the new payout.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?
We have a moderate cancellation policy. It may vary a bit between platforms, but usually 5 days prior to arrival guests may receive a full refund. If a guests wants to make changes within the five days arrival or after arrival, we cannot provide a refund.

Are pets allowed?
We love dogs and love to host but they do cause more complications for our cleaning crew. We have a limit of 2 dogs with a 50.00 pet fee. Please let us know if you are bringing your pup. If guests arrive with a pet without making prior arrangements, the fee is 250.00. Because of allergies, we cannot host cats.

Service vs Emotional Support
Service dogs have received specialized training to perform a specific task or tasks for an individual with a disability are considered service animals. Please provide the documentation and the pet fee is waived. Emotional support animals are important as well, but they will be charged the pet fee.

Are there extra pillows?
We provided two pillows per person. For instance, a queen bed will have four sleeping pillows.

Are extra guests allowed?
If you have a few (2-3) friends pop over, this is not an issues. If you have extra guests sleeping over or more than five guests for an event, please ask and we can asses:)

Is smoking allowed outside?
Yes, you are welcome to smoke outside the space. Please pick up cigarette butts. Smoking inside the home would result in a 250.00 fee for cleaning and possible blocking nights for other guests.

Could we leave our luggage?
We are able to store luggage in the space for two hours before or after check in. Let us know so our cleaners are not surprised. There is also a service (usebounce) that is an option for storing bags.

Could I have an early check-in or late checkout?
We use the DACK app (info given upon confirmation) where guests can purchase extra time before check-in or after check-out. This allows our cleaners to manage their time and have houses ready in a timely manner.

What is a MUST do in Austin?
We love Barton Springs (especially in warmer months). South Congress has so much in a close proximity. Park close to Jo’s Coffee and stroll from there (shopping, cafes, music!). Vera Cruz tacos are really the best Austin has! Our Capital is gorgeous and very worth a drive by!
