Welcome to Kilbuck Creek
Nestled in 200 acres of woods and tucked away just south of Rockford Illinois, our facilities at Kilbuck Creek are the perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of your busy lives. Our beautiful log cabin home is the perfect place to reconnect with loved ones, and our ceremony site and reception hall make for an idyllic setting for Weddings!
Reset your mind and soul with a walk in our 5 miles of groomed trails, and after you have soaked up all the sounds of nature, come on in and soak in our large indoor spa. When your ready for some fun, splash into our indoor pool and have fun creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our pool and spa are open all rear round!
The Kilbuck Creek runs along side the property, so bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and floating tubes to enjoy the fun side of nature!
We've added 2 separate cabins for more guests! See below.....
If your interested in renting a golf cart to tour the property and trails with, please message us and we can setup payment and contract separately!

Booking Details:
Fees are based on 20 guests, sleeps 40. $50 per guest per night for additional guests.

Butterfly Cabin Suite: Sleeps 4-5 guests $180-$310 per night (message us for price list)

Horse Stable Cabin Suite: Sleeps 4-7 guests $200-$360 per night (message us for price list)

A message from the owner:
Kilbuck Creek is not just a business to us, and itā€™s not just a house, itā€™s a place where family and friends get to come together and spend quality time with each other in a world where time goes by far too fast. As the owner of this property, I have raised all 6 of my children here, and I've handpicked almost everything you see in the house. My kids grew up coming down the stairs on Christmas morning, or playing in the woods till the sun went down, and we have spent countless meals together in this kitchen. This home and property holds so many special memories and means so much to our family, and we love that we can now share this special place with other families so they can experience that joy as well.
Having said that, it is with the utmost sincerity that we ask you to treat our home with the respect it deserves. Please understand that this isnā€™t just a business to us, this is where my children have been raised and where we still come together to spend quality time with each other. Our cleaning staff is like family to us, and they put a lot of time and energy into getting the house ready for each group. Please help them out by picking up the house before checkout, itā€™s greatly appreciated!!

All groups must have an I.D. to present at check in, and we will be looking into each group that requests to book.

We were fortunate enough to spend a couple of days with 5 other couples at Kilbuck Creek and are already looking forward to booking our next stay. The house is huge with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need to unleash your inner chef. The pool house is an added bonus, especially in the cold winter months and is where we spent most of our time. It was nice to take long walks on property in such a private and gorgeous setting. We had a couple of quick questions upon arrival and our texts were answered in a very timely fashion. We could not possibly recommend this place more! Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful home with us!

My family and I had an amazing time at this beautiful property. Itā€™s a perfect place to gather and create lasting memories with loved ones. We were thrilled with the layout of the rooms, which perfectly accommodated our group. One of my favorite features of the house is the bird cage! As someone who works in aviation and loves all things flying, itā€™s my absolute favorite. Itā€™s a unique concept, and I hope they continue to take good care of the birds. My nieces absolutely adore them. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are also great additions. Weā€™ll definitely return to this property and recommend it to our friends and family. We were impressed with the excellent management. Happy new year to the entire team.

Great house for multiple families to get together! The kids loved being able to swim inside while it was snowing outside. The adults loved the kitchen, birds, and overall ambience of the home. Would stay again!

This place is a hidden gem! We visited with a family of 12 adults and 10 children and everyone from ages 4 weeks to 75 had a blast. Well stocked kitchen, great amenities, amazing pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back!

The cabin was lovely, the indoor pool and jacuzzi were a welcomed treat; especially during the cooler temps - but the water temperature could have been a bit warmer. We enjoyed exploring the hiking trails and to our surprise seeing the Northern Lights. Excited to return again!

The venue was beautiful as always this was our second time staying here, however, it was slightly disappointing compared to our first experience. On our arrival date, the AC did not work at all. We attempted for a few hours was weighed it out thinking it might just be us now knowing how to use the thermostat. We ended up running to Target to get fans for each room once the temperature reached 78 on the thermostat. The next day, the maintenance guy did come early and determined after spending a few hours in the house that there was a leaked that cause the AC to not work. The rest of the week we spent there, we went through phases of rotten egg and sewage smell through out the house. Otherwise, aside from the smell and no AC on the hottest day there, we were able to enjoy the beautiful location of this venue.

Family Trip

We had a great stay at this property! We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay due to a leak with the air-conditioner but communication with the staff was easy and the staff promptly addressed it. I truly felt that they all cared that our family had an enjoyable time while we were there--even though we were only there 2 nights. Very grateful to all the staff for helping our family make such wonderful memories during our time at Kilbuck Creek.

This was my 3rd time using this property. I host a work conference for 18 women from 8 different states, the location is centrally located, itā€™s so clean and well maintained. 15 Year Family Reunion

Amazing to say the least! Our family has a yearly reunion going since 2009. This was by far the best cabin we have stayed at. Location, staff were amazing. Mona is the best! Hope to be back soon when a weekend opens up in 2025 or 2026.

This is our second time spending Thanksgiving at this wonderful Home. And every time we couldnā€™t be happier. Hi everyone!! I raised my beautiful children in this home, so needless to say we have so many memories here! It seems like these kids of mine decided to grow up on me overnight and now have their own homes and their own children. So I decided to downsize into a more functional home, but I wasn't quite ready to let go of this property that we all loved so much.
So that is how our home and property became Kilbuck Creek!
Our company is a family run business and we absolutely love hosting everyone's events! To see peoples face light up when they see our place puts a smile on my face and in my heart!
