Spectacular cottage on Penobscot bay

Seaclusion is a gorgeous seaside cottage with amazing views! The location is perfect for exploring the iconic mid-coast delights from Acadia to Freeport! Belfast offers lobster on the wharf at Youngs and an interesting variety of delicious food in town.

Seaclusion is a well appointed 2 bedroom cottage that sleeps 4 comfortably. The light and bright master bedroom has a queen bed and private 1/2 bath. The guest bedroom has a comfortable trundle that easily becomes separate twin beds for space and flexibility. The large bright great room includes a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table. The vaulted ceiling, fans and over-sized windows facing the bay create an open airy feel. Completing the main living space is a direct vent gas fireplace, futon, comfortable rocker, TV, and DVD. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and shower with fan, heat and excellent lighting. The cottage feel is enhanced with clean pine floors and slate tile in the bathrooms. A washer and dryer is well situated behind a closet door for ease of use and yet not visible to guests.

Sit on the screen porch and read a book, play cards or just become mesmerized by the ever changing water and color of the sky! Ambiance and comfort are created with wicker chairs, ledge, tables for beverages and hooks for gear.

Chairs, picnic table and grilling space on the private lawn space in front of the cottage is perfect for eating, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view.

Superbly situated

I took the cottage for 10 nights. It was sited on the bay edge with magnificent view of the bay and surrounding area.Ann, the owner kindly visited for a chat and was a great lady. I had stayed before at Wonderview but rhis cottage experience far exceeded the previous rental. Would recommend this cottage without exception.

Spectacular cottage indeed!

This cottage more than lived up to our expectations! The views were gorgeous, the interior very clean and attractive, the beds very comfortable, the location great and close to downtown Belfast, and the instructions for using the TV, fireplace, appliances, etc. were readily available and easy to follow. Our only hiccup came in actually finding our cottage in this small compound, because we arrived in the dark of night and didn't expect #41 (our cottage number) to be right in the middle of the 1-10 numbered cottages and the 11-20 numbered cottages. But our host thoughtfully left on the porch light as well as the interior lights, so we eventually were able to peer inside and recognize the furnishings as being those that were pictured in the cottage we rented! All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn't imagine a better place to use as our homebase for a couple of days.

Beautiful view and relaxing stay

We were very comfortable in this cottage. The screen porch has a perfect view of the water and we spent a lot of time on it. We could adjust the temperature of the cottage with AC unit, gas fireplace, heat and lots of windows with good screens. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. A fully functioning kitchen and laundry were great. A beach to explore, lots of water activity to observe and abundant wildflowers added to the charm. Convenient to many good restaurants and day trips. Met the owner and she is delightful! Highly recommended.

Seclusion cottage

The cottage was perfect for our 4 night stay. We fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the ocean. It was centrally located, so we could visit Acadia/Bar Harbor and the Camden/Rockland area. We hope to be back!

Fantastic Maine Vacation

This little cottage is not only comfortable, beautiful but so peaceful! The ocean is right in front of you to enjoy watching, checking out after low tide and just listening to the crashing waves. Several cottages in the area, but this place is the pick of the litter. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

Always a pleasure

This experience was our 3rd straight year and we loved it a third time. Please see earlier reviews. The cottage is immaculate and kitchen is well stocked with the tools to make dinners. This year our cousins from Mallorca, Spain joined us for their first introduction to the Main coast Perfect weather and a visit of the resident bald eagle preening on a tree above the rocky beach.

Perfection by the sea

The house overlooks the most beautiful water and they have stairs to go beachcombing. The house is immaculate has a gorgeous jet tub I enjoyed and just the right amount of space for 3-4 people. Loved it! Thanks!

Awesome stay on the Maine coast!

We picked this cottage because of its location on the coast and its proximity to neighboring coastal towns and fresh seafood. It did not disappoint! We celebrated a birthday and an anniversary while we were there, and we could not have picked a better place. Honestly just sitting in the chairs watching the ocean was worth the trip. The hostess was so friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and places to visit and was nearby if we needed her. We were sad to leave and will definitely stay there again when we make it back to Maine.

Great Fall Visit

What a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine AND the fog of the Maine Coast in the fall! We were fortunate to have 3 days of beautiful sunshine & fall warmth…followed by 2 days of fog and then a day of downpour. Truly felt akin to those who live here. The cottage is so comfortable….I was a bit concerned ahead of time that it might be cold inside…however the gas fireplace and what seems like plenty on insulation kept us toasty warm. Placed on the bluff, right above the bay, is so special. We drove to Acadia Nat’l Park, toured Belfast, ate lobster, oysters, scallops (and hamburgers!). The cottage is a treat…so worth the visit. Thank you, Ann!

New England fall foliage and ocean view trip

This is a wonderful house to stay in!! The view from the house, at any angle because nearly all windows face the water, was perfect! The private beach and quiet neighborhood was very nice. The bedding was comfortable. All was very clean and we loved our stay there. Sitting by the fireplace and watching the water was great! Would return here again for sure!!!

The Somers family returned home to the coast of Maine in 2010 with the purchase of this amazing cottage. The design, colors and furnishings were a family project. Life is a balance between celebrations, play and relaxation at Seaclusion cottage.

Belfast has become our family's favorite place to visit. Some of us grew up here, some went to college in Maine and others have grown to love this happening city! The cottage is a place to gather and create new memories! It is a thrill to be able to share the sound of loons, seals, bellboys and the waves with our guests and family.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Whether sitting around the table, lounging by the fire, or reading a book on the porch, the sea is always in view! Sunrises, sunsets, kayak trips, walks on the beach and watching the moon rise on the bay make for a perfect day.

The cottage is a perfect home base for visiting Acadia National Park, Camden - state park and city, Rockland - museums and great food, Searsport - Marine Museum, great shopping in Freeport and all along the coast! The adventures are endless but walking the beach in search of treasures is the best!
