Welcome to your perfect getaway-Salt and Sand, a beautifully remodeled 1960s "fishing cottage" nestled in the heart of historic Old Town Port Aransas. This inviting, single-story retreat is the ideal escape for four guests and your furry companions. With a spacious fenced backyard, a brand-new bonus room, and coastal charm at every turn, this home offers both style and comfort. Stroll to the beach, restaurants, shopping, or the iconic Horace Caldwell Pier-all within walking distance. Whether you're here to relax or explore the Texas Riviera, this home promises to be your perfect home base.
Living Area: Step into the cozy living room, where relaxed, boho-beachy decor meets comfort. A plush couch awaits your nap or movie marathon, complemented by a large flat-screen TV with cable for your downtime. The stunning 2024 remodel includes white shiplap walls in the main house accenting the original tongue and groove ceiling with exposed beams along with original slatted doors and brass hardware. With brand new mini-split AC/heating and ceiling fans throughout, your comfort is guaranteed. The entry hallway offers practical features like a desk workspace, a bench for shoes, and plenty of hooks for coats, dog leashes, and keys. There is also parking for your boat, or small trailer and your golf cart.
Bedrooms: The serene main bedroom features a king-size bed, ample closet space, and a calming atmosphere-perfect for winding down after a day of adventure. The bonus room provides additional flexibility with its memory foam pull-out queen bed, desk, bookshelf storage, and its own private patio for morning coffee or evening stargazing. Both bedrooms come with their own Streaming TVs for your viewing pleasure.
1.5 Bathrooms: With 1.5 bathrooms, you'll never have to wait your turn. The main bathroom, located off the living area, includes a tiled tub/shower, a large mirror, and plenty of drawer and shelf space. The half bath, accessible from the hallway and bonus room, includes a washer/dryer for convenience and extra storage. Need to rinse off after the beach? Step outside to your private outdoor shower located in the carport area-perfect for washing off sand and saltwater.
Kitchen: The brand-new kitchen is a chef's dream with bright turquoise shelving, white cabinets, and ample granite counter space. Equipped with stainless steel appliances-including a gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave-you'll have everything you need to prepare meals with ease. The kitchen also includes a Keurig coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and blender for your morning or evening routine. The expansive breakfast bar, paired with a reclaimed wood table, offers the perfect spot for family meals, games, or puzzles.
Outdoor: Step outside the living room to your private pergola patio, featuring cafe lights and dining for four. Whether it's for an evening BBQ on the grill or sipping a drink on the patio chairs, this space will be your go-to hangout. After a day of fishing, shelling, or beachcombing, rinse off your beach gear and pets with convenient water hoses in the side yard and carport area.
Parking: Parking is a breeze with space for two vehicles on the driveway and one in the carport, depending on size. There's also room for a boat or small trailer on the property (with permission), and a FREE EV charging station for your electric vehicle.
Location: Salt and Sand is perfectly situated at the corner of Trojan and East Avenue F, directly across from the Episcopal Church and behind Port A Pizza. Walk to Port A's best restaurants, shops, and attractions, or take a short golf cart ride to explore the charming Old Town area. The beach, Horace Caldwell Pier, and more are all within easy reach. It's the ideal spot to soak up the sun, enjoy delicious local food, and discover everything this picturesque beach town has to offer.

When booking please let us know if you are bringing dogs so that we may adjust your balance.The pet fee is $75 per dog, no max. We accept all size dogs.

This is a self catering property. We give you a start up supply of trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap and hand soap. This will most likely not be enough for your entire stay.

Even though the system may let you book this property, all reservations must and will be submitted to the owner of the property for final approval. Also, on the day of check in, only the named person on the reservation will be permitted to check in at our office. ID and Credit Card will be verified upon check in. NO Exceptions.

Must be 25 to reserve/stay. NO 3rd party rentals. Primary guests must be present for full stay. Only named guests permitted on property. No Parties.
As a reminder if your reservation falls between the dates of March 6-23rd if any guests are under the age of 25.
The reservation will be subject to extra scrutiny, and we reserve the right to cancel due to the age group of guests.

We do not allow parties or large groups. We aim to remain family friendly.

This property is managed by Beachcomber Vacation Rentals.

We loved this cottage. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The outside patio was a nice convenience and it is close to the shops and the beach. The bed and pull out couch were very comfortable. . The owner was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
