Wanting to stop and smell the roses or in Ojai slow down and smell the pixie orange blossoms, I wanted a place where I could do all the things I enjoy doing and get away from the rat race of big city life. The second I drove into town and experienced the "Pink Moment" I was hooked and decided I was going to make it happen and buy a house in Ojai. My daughter lives in LA and I am going back and forth to Houston, Ojai is only an hour and twenty minutes from LA and close to Santa Barbara, it offers the best of everything!

I was drawn to Ojai because the mountains cradle you and the magic of the pink moment, which is a fleeting period before sunset when the jagged Topa Topa Mountains that frame the northern edge of the valley take on a dusky rose hue and the sky turns magenta and hot pink, is so enchanting it draws the eyes up and clears the mind.
The Casa del Oro townhouse is right in the middle of the adorable cute town walking distance or a short bike ride to everything. The outside patio garden is my special place to have my coffee, sit in the hammock and just listen to the birds chirping and watch the changing sky change from robin blue, to the pink moment and the night sky is crystal clear to star gaze. When the fog rolls in it also creates a mystical feel. I love the fact that the street I am on has the best shops, wine tasting room, restaurants and art center all on the same block within walking distance.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
The light that comes in the house is wonderful, the view from the upstairs balcony captures the mountains and sunsets, my favorite place is my French garden with the lights in the citrus trees, sound of the fountain, and warm and cozy with the fireplace that creates an ambiance that is perfect for entertaining friends and family.
