We arrived 2 days late due to airline issues. Petra stayed in contact with me the entire time. Check-in was easy as Jacky opened the secure gate as we arrived. The condo was exactly as described and provided all the necessary comforts we expected. Wi-Fi was excellent, consistent hot water, with great water pressure, in all 3 bathrooms, washing machine and dryer, refrigerator, stove, oven, and dishwasher are all in great condition and working order.The condo has a secure fence and a security guard on site. Each condo has a gate entry/exit fob to come and go as you please. There is also 1 designated parking space for your car. If you have more than one vehicle, the second vehicle will need to park outside on the street.The condo is very secluded with its own little beach and swimming pool. It is positioned close to nice restaurants, a gas station, a grocery store, Willemstad city center, and dive shops. If you want the craziness of thousands of tourists sharing the same beach - it is a simple 5 minute drive to Mombo Beach. We dove with Scubacao, and Go West Divers - both excellent dive shops. We also fished with Captain Gordo and caught mahi-mahi. We had an excellent trip and would stay here again when visiting CuraƧao!

Great location and very nice unit. Jacky met us upon arrival and departure. Literally steps to the private beach. Walking distance to downtown Punda restaurants and shops. We loved it!

Great Place to stay!!

This place was wonderful. The location was perfect as well with many restaurant options within walking distance. Also, the snorkeling outside of the breaker was amazing (both night and day). Also, Miss Jacky was wonderful whenever we needed anything at all. We stayed for 13 days and our kids (15 and 13) loved it as well. Perfect place for a get away to Curacao!!

Great Vacation!

Great location! The listing was exactly as described & pictured, and was more than enough for our group of four adults. Having our own beach & pool was great, and so was proximity to some great restaurants! Petra was a great host & quickly answered any of our questions!

Awestruck from the moment we stepped in the door.

The views and the location are absolutely amazing. We were on the first floor to where we would literally walk out from our dining table area on the deck and directly to the Lagoon.

Great condo, great location

This is a well equipped condo. Nice kitchen, 3 beds, 3 baths and washer/dryer. WiFi was good. TV had NFL, EPL etc. Itā€™s on the ground floor so one can walk right out to the beach that is private to the complex. There are only 20 units so we were always able to find a shaded beach chair. There is also a pool. Very relaxing. We snorkeled in the protected lagoon and saw many fish. Yes, there are better snorkeling spots on the island, but itā€™s nice to be able to just hop in. Sandy, shallow beach is nice for little ones. One can walk to many restaurants. On New Yearā€™s Eve one can see fireworks up and down the coast, a great display.

Breathtaking views, great stay

When we arrived we were greeted and showed around the property and our unit. It was everything that we thought it would be. It was right on the beach you could just walk out the door and there was a beautiful beach and a sparkling clean pool. Petra the owner was very accommodating as we had a problem with the fan in one bedroom that didn't work we notified her and within a couple of hours she had bought a new one and brought it and set it up for us. Much more than we expected. The rooms were very clean the unit was well stocked with everything you needed to cook if you felt like eating in there was also a few restaurants down the street that you could walk to. She also provided snorkeling gear that was left for anybody to use and we took great advantage of that the snorkeling was fantastic right outside the door I would highly recommend anybody to come and stay here and we will definitely be back thank you again Petra for a wonderful vacation for a girls trip to the beach

Beautiful view, good location

This is a very nice condo and was a good location for us - we went to Curacao primarily for the snorkeling. We like to cook in when on vacation and the kitchen was a little lacking (no sharp knives, nothing to measure anything-liquid or solid). There were items like oil, salt, etc. that others had left (we contributed a few things too). We only used the master bedroom-bed was comfortable. Only real issue was lack of air conditioning in the master bedroom. When Petra checked us in, she said there was a fan in that room, which there was, but it was only helpful when we turned on the A/C pretty high (24) and put the fan in the doorway to the bedroom so that it pulled the cooler air from the living room. This was okay for us as we didn't have anyone staying in the other bedrooms, but we feel it would have made it uncomfortably cold in the other two bedrooms which had working A/C. We snorkeled twice at the unit (beyond the breakwater and to the right toward Avila Beach Hotel- one time it was very good- good visibility with lots of schools of blue tang and other fish and the other time it was very low visibility so very dependent on the wind and churn. We brought our own snorkel gear, but the unit does have some gear in a drawer in the kitchen (masks, fins, snorkels). We enjoyed our stay

Just as listed - Lives like a bungalow!

Nice luxury apartment with all the amenities in a great location.The beach/lagoon is THE highlight and we did not see the point of visiting any others on the island. Renting a car is HIGHLY recommended as it gets super hot out. Petra was awesome from beginning to end; Friendly, helpful and responsive to all our inquiries. We truly can't wait to come back!

Nice Week

We had a nice stay in Curacao and The Sands gives you the opportunity to walk into town and eat at some nice restaurants. The unit was nice. The central air unit went out prior to our arrival, and Petra provided portable A/C units for the bedrooms. One of the units did not work. We were able to sleep relatively well, but you may want to wait until the A/C unit is fixed before visiting. Overall, a nice stay.

An awesome place to stay

When I started looking for a place to stay on Curacao I was looking for a place on the beach. I'm so glad I close this one. Petra reached out as we got closer to the date of arrival to get our flight information to ensure she'd be there when we got there. She was waiting for us at the unit when we arrived. She gave us a run down of the condo. Showed us how to get in and out of the gated facility (which is cool, it has automatic gates). Showed us the assigned parking spot for our unit. And then gave me her info incase we had any issues. The unit is fantastic. We had 5 adults. 2 married couples and one single adult. We pushed the 2 twin beds together for 1 couple, the king size bed was amazing. And the room with the single bed was perfect for our group. The unit had all the amenities that we needed. We cooked breakfast nearly everyday, and cooked dinner a few times as well. We has everything we needed to cook with for all cases. The unit is ground floor and the back wall is a huge door that looks out onto the private beach and private cove. This was the most amazing part of our stay..... the view, the beach, the snorkeling. It was all right there outside the backdoor. I could sit at the table on the balcony and then walk 10 steps and be on the beach. 15 steps and be in the water. AMAZING. And the snorkeling was great also. Tons of fish. The sea wall on the cove kept the cove calm. The location is within walking distance of many great restaurants. We loved it!!!!!

This will not be our last time here!

We have gone to many Carribean islands and stayed in many wonderful condos but this one ranks # 1 for us. We have never been this close (just a few steps) to the ocean. It was walking distance to town which was a plus. The kitchen was fabulous for cooking breakfast everyday and could not have been a better dining experience on the patio just steps from the lagoon. There was plenty of shade with several palapas. The pool was refreshing after a day of snorkeling destinations. We enjoyed Serafina, Fish & Joy Bistro, and Rozendaels restaurants just 3 blocks away. We also did a free walking tour of Willemstad which was amazing and turned us on to RustiQ which was a great evening experience with delicious apps and drinks and live music. We loved the whole vibe of CuraƧao every where we went. We will return!

Excellent vacations

We stayed at The Strand for the second time, in a different unit from the first time, but we enjoyed it just as much. The location allows us to walk to Punda, the sea is very good, the apartment is comfortable and well equipped. Communication with Petra was excellent
