Stunning cabin in a 400 acre gated wooded park close to Pinecrest & Dodge Ridge

This home is located in the gated community of Sierra Park close to Pinecrest Lake . The Park is a wonderful place for families with a playground with picnic benches, lake, volleyball and basketball courts and a seasonal sledding hill. The cabin has vaulted ceilings and open beams and hardwood floors. It has a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and breakfast bar which seats four. The dining area seats eight. There are three bedrooms all with queen beds. The master suite has a slider to the deck and a spacious bathroom with with dual sinks, large shower and jetted tub. The second bedroom has a bay window with a window seat and access to the guest bathroom. The third bedroom is downstairs and also has a queen bed and is adjacent to the large games room. The games room has one queen bed, one single bed and a bunk bed with single on top and double on the bottom. This room is the perfect place for the kids to hang out with a pool table, foosball table, air hockey, card table and ping pong. It also has two seating areas, one centered around a fireplace and the other around the TV with satellite and dvd player. The sliding doors open onto a large deck.
The upstairs deck has a fire-pit, dining table and swing and is a wonderful place to relax.

We adored our time at Deborah’s property. The home was beautiful and extremely well maintained. Our kids had such a fun time in the game room and we appreciated all the beds and small touches. We hope to come back again!

Owner was extremely helpful as we were there during the big snow storm (2/16 - 2/20). I think we received over 4' of snow during the time we were there. We lost power and the generator kicked on and supplied enough power to keep us comfortable. We had 4 kids and 6 adults and the house was perfect for our group. I would not recommend going there without 4WD in the winter as we would not have been able to come and go without it. Beautiful spot, we will be back!

This cabin was clean, cozy, and very entertaining! My kids loved all the cabin decor and “mountain animal” decor throughout the house. The moose in one of the bedrooms was their favorite. My family had a wonderful time and really enjoyed all the entertainment that the cabin had to offer. The lower floor had all the games you could want for a family to stayed entertained, (air hockey, pool table, darts, poker table, etc.). The cabin had a great sound system as well. There were plenty of beds, bathrooms, and space for everyone. The communication with the host was smooth, helpful, and informative. We enjoyed the views, the porch swing, the walk out deck, and the convenient drive to Dodge Ridge Mountain for some snowboarding. We have no complaints and will keep this location on our list of future stays for sure!

Excellent property and helpful hosts

It was an exceptional experience in this property, which has beautiful interiors and lots of fun stuff for kids. Views are awesome and location is so convenient w.r.t Dodge ridge resort. Special thanks to property hosts who were super prompt in addressing any concerns and help we needed in the wee hours of the day.

Hideaway in the woods

Our family had an amazing time at this cabin. It is a beautiful home with lots of things to do. The deck allowed us to have amazing dinners and the downstairs had a pool table and ping pong. Plenty big for our family of 7. Just an amazing home and location. We loved it and would highly recommend.

Perfect for a Family Retreat

What a perfect home for a family get away. Kids were in heaven in the lower level with a game room that puts resorts to shame. And the adults were upstairs gathering in the usual kitchen, dining and family room area. All in a setting that is stunning and quiet from any road noise. Loved it!

Beautiful

We had an amazing stay, the cabin is better than the pictures. The decking is fantastic, can't think of a nicer way to start the day with a coffee or in the evening with some wine. My children loved the games room, so much to keep them entertained. The local area is lovely and the people are the nicest we have ever encountered.

Beautiful, peaceful getaway in the mountains

This a beautiful home, conveniently located near Pinecrest Lake. (15 minutes by car). It is very private and quiet with a small lake within walking distance. The game room is well equipped to keep the younger generation busy for hours while the adults can sip a glass of wine on the spacious deck. We had a wonderful family gathering.

Exceeded our expectations!

My daughter asked if we could find a cozy place we could be surrounded by trees, play board games, and be together as a family. We found this listing and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The check in process was easy. The house is stocked with everything you could need. Pinecrest lake is just a short drive away. We have 6 children and every one of them was in awe of the beauty of the furniture and layout of the home. The lighting throughout gives such warmth. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to returning!

Summer Cabin Getaway

Hosted my bachelorette at this cabin and the girls loved it. The quiet neighborhood, close proximity to private lake and to Pinecrest Lake was amazing. We loved the upper deck space with amazing views of the trees. Lots of amenities and games, comfortable bedding. Worth every penny. The surround sound speakers throughout the main floor were a huge bonus. Only critique would be that the kitchen dining area is a bit cramped for a large group but you can easily spread to the counter or outdoor tables. 10/10 would reccomend.

Awesome experience, we will be back!

This cabin is exactly as pictured/described. We loved the large, open kitchen which was fully stocked. We had two kids (10 and 13) and 5 adults, and we all fit comfortably in the house with room to spare. We had dinners on the porch, enjoying the view. The host is lovely, very quick to respond to any inquiries. My only recommendation is to add an intercom from the upstairs to the downstairs, as you will lose part of the group to the epic gameroom!!!! Thank you Read family for opening your house to us, we had such a great visit!

Great place to get away

We planned a trip to dodge ridge to ski and it was my first time to this area. It was wonderful, the place is very close to the resort. We ventured out at night to a casino close by too. It had snowed like two feet the night before but when we drove into the community where the house is all the roads were paved which is a big plus. The house itself was awesome with lots of room for all of us. Leaving all the kids downstairs in the game room while the adults hung out up stairs was a plus. The bathrooms were nice with good water pressure and hot water. The TV and sound system upstairs was amazing. Parking was a breeze two cars Inside and 3 could fit outside. There were two Landry rooms one upstairs and one downstairs which is nice. Two fridges which is also helpful. Nice kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, etc... I would definitely come back. Only downside like others have said is the WIFI. But not sure how you get better WIFI up there, if there is a trick please let me know. I am willing to pay extra or buy some device.

Weather won't hold you down!

The home is so much more than the pictures show. Attention to every detail and cleanliness will make you feel at home.The decks are covered so regardless of what mother nature throws at you, the home is well equipped with plenty of family/friend entertainment and opportunity for a great time together.The kitchen is well stocked and has a large refrigerator to store your groceries & beverages. I brought my crockpot, blender and baking dishes just to find they had it all there!The surrounding grounds leaves much to explore and is close to many exciting adventures in town or on the nearby mountains.I've stayed in many VRBO's throughout the years and I have never stayed in a home that felt so welcoming. The downfall of staying here is that you won't want to leave.The owners have left everything labeled and have a binder of instructions for any assistance you may need with the heating, fireplaces, fire pits or the all-home speaker system.I didn't see my teenager and his friends all weekend as the downstairs basement which is the game room/bedrooms/bathroom was so incredibly pleasant and entertaining...they only left the room to eat! I can't wait till our next stay!

Great weekend

Really nice house and location. The house is well-equipped with everything you need and has a number of games available to use. The owners were very responsive when we had a few questions. Our favorite place to hang out was on the deck, around the table with the fire pit. The only problem we experienced the entire time we were there (and "problem" is a stretch), is that the gas for the fire pit apparently ran out so we could not use it the last night. I hard-lined our fire pit at home to avoid this issue, and it has worked out great for us. But that was not a big deal to us; we played dice and pool and darts that night instead. Overall, A+ experience.

Already booked our return!

We loved this property, and are excited to return next year! The house and kitchen are well stocked. The kids and adults enjoyed the game room, the board games and the beautiful back deck(s). The home is very warm and inviting, and exactly what we wanted for a quick ski and snow weekend. Communication with the owner was great. Thank you for everything!

Spent Christmas

Great rental. We liked the layout of the place. From the main area to porch/decks to downstairs game area was great design. Having the covered porch/decks was great. We relaxed and gathered upstairs for cooking, watching tv, and opening gifts. We had a lot of smiles on this trip. It snowed on Christmas. We cooked out on porch and set up the fire pit. When we wanted to play we went downstairs, played pool, air hockey, poker and put a Christmas puzzle together. Nice place. We enjoyed it! Winter Break.

Our best rental yet!! Great cabin with sledding hill in the neighborhood and tons of indoor games for everyone to enjoy. Dodge ridge is only 30 mins away for a day of skiing and snowboarding. Great time!

We live in the Bay Area and have rented properties in the Twain Harte/Mi Wuk area for many years. We have been drawn back here so many times because there is so much to do in both winter and summer. We finally decided to buy our own cabin and completed the purchase on New Year's Eve 2012!

We fell in love with this cabin the minute we saw it. The first floor is beautifully remodeled and the huge games room downstairs was an instant hit with our two teenagers. It's proximity to skiing, water sports and rock climbing was an added bonus.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Sierra Park is the perfect place for families. In the summer you can walk to the small lake which is situated within the park as is the sledding hill in the winter. Ice skating in Long Barn is also close by or you can take the 15 minute drive to Pinecrest Lake or Dodge Ridge for skiing. Twain Harte is 8 miles down the road with many dining options and golf.
