The penthouse is at the perfect location in Midlake. It directly overlooks the pool and the lake. The views are amazing!
The entire space has been artistically renovated and custom throughout. A nice open floor plan with the living room, dining area with large dining room table and fully stocked kitchen are set together with large windows so you see the lake at every angle. This also walks out to the patio with a grill and beautiful views of the lake. Upstairs is a lofted bedroom with a king size bed. It is a large room that also has a sitting area with two pull-out couches one of which is a single and the other aa twin. Full bathroom with a very large Jacuzzi bath tub. Perfect place to unwind and relax. The two bedrooms downstairs have their own bathroom as well. Perfect setup for privacy. One bedroom downstairs is a king of which also has a balcony. The other bedroom is a king. The beds will be made with fresh Linens. Tvs in every room, with streaming of netflix and pandora. The decor throughout is light and Breezy with a artistic flare. You will not be disappointed. Midlake is nice and easy. When you pull into the parking lot there's plenty of parking right out front of the penthouse. At the front door is a combination code so you do not need any keys. Kayak/canoo at beach club only and need to rent. There are bikes out front for you to use for exploring. It doesn't get much better than this!
Fall:
hiking, biking, canoe rentals at Lake Harmony, and visit Jim Thorpe. BEST FALL FOLIAGE.
Winter:
ski/tubing at Big Boulder- you can walk there if like. Visit Jim Thorpe. We leave you free firewood.
Summer:
Beach club (opens after memorial Day and stays open everyday) and they have a heated pool that is heated and it overlooks the lake. Everything opens up after memorial Day but the second (not heated) pool and hot tub out back only on weekends until June 13th. It is relaxing and overlooking the lake. However the beach club pool is loads of fun for the whole family! There is a walk up Tiki Bar and Restaurant, ping pong, tennis, playground, volleyball, Lake boat rentals non-motorized, and also pontoon Boat. Everyone has so much fun! All amenities reported open.
Spring:
hiking, biking, and visiting Jim Thorpe.
If you get bored of Midlake, which is so hard to do, you can take the walking and biking trail to Split Rock, which has numerous restaurants and bars and an area to rent motorized boats. This is only a half a mile away and you do not need a car. In the surrounding area there is certainly too much to mention but a few Heavy Hitters would be Jim Thorpe, which they call The Little Switzerland of PA. Jim Thorpe also has hiking and biking on the D&L trail to the Lehigh Gorge. You could also take a train ride through the Lehigh Gorge. They have great restaurants and bars there and eccentric shopping. There is also a nice hike to Hawk's Falls that is a perfect place to take pictures. There's great paintball, whitewater rafting, ziplining, casinos, bowling, arcade, movie theater, ice cream stores all around Midlake. Shenanigans is a great place for nightlife with its dancing and karaoke on Saturday nights. Terra Cottage would you can walk to if you like is the best place for breakfast anywhere. It also has an adorable Boutique with eccentric clothing. Midlake is the best place to come for decompressing from whatever stresses you out.

Great location - Lots to do

The location was perfect right near the pool and overlooking the lake and mountain. The unit was clean. Even though you couldnā€™t go in the lake because of dredging we still could rent a boat and the kids still enjoyed playing in the sand. There were some bikes there for us to enjoy as well. It was a very nice long weekend.

Big Boulder Lake

We had a lovely 3 night 4 day stay on Lake Boulder. The location is awesome, from unit to pool is seconds away, a bit longer walk to beach pool and lake beach access What didnā€™t we like; the furniture and appliances are all dated and a bit tired. Ice maker and washer did not work, we just bought a bag of ice and only laundry was sheets as we were leaving. If we stayed all week this would have been a hardship. Kim was great to work with. If appliances and furniture are updated would go back in a heartbeat.

Double booked

When we walked to the owner's property on the 3rd floor in the evening with our heavy items, including groceries for dinner and water, we found the baggage of others and the TV turned on. We asked the owner about the situation, and she said she got double booked because of some errors by Vrbo. We had to find other accommodations to stay at the spot in front of the building, shivering in the cold, with our starving three kids. We called Vrbo but were put on hold for over 30 minutes. When we finally did get connected to an operator, the line was disconnected before we could fully explain our situation. They did not even call us back. We eventually had to stay in the 2-star hotel that we definitely did not want to visit and started to make our dinner at 10 pm. In the hectic situation that night, the owner texted us to request to cancel this trip on our end for fear of affecting her metrics. How dare you. We wasted our precious time, effort, gas, and mileage of our cars. On top of that, Vrbo and the owner ruined our family reunion. How will Vrbo and the owner compensate us for this terrible experience on our trip?

Beautiful views and location, some inconveniences

The lake and pool are beautiful! Perfect location. Access to the lake club was nice to have. The unit is big. There are three kings, a futon, and a twin sized pull out couch. Sheets will be needed for the couch and futon. Fits 8 people comfortably. Our first day though, we realized the AC was broken. The condo was up to 85Ā°+ that day. After waiting a few hours and the temperature climbing, they provided us fans to get going throughout the house and was provided with a portable air conditioning unit. HVAC came two different days and concluded that the unit was broke. They provided two more portable air conditioners the second night. We did get a small refund (about 10%) for our trouble. She did say the unit is now fixed though for future guests. There was no canoe and kayak available by the condo as originally stated in our email, but she did say sheā€™d pay for one at the club if we wanted (not as convenient, so we passed). The kitchen could use baking pans and sharp knives. The front door was busted, looks like maybe it was kicked in at some point. Kim was accessible via text. A little pricey for what we got compared to what family got in a similar condo for much less and no inconveniences.

Lovely Stay with Amazing View

We had a wonderful time at the condo this summer. We loved the view from the balcony and how close we were to the pool. I love this community because it is so clean and they just added EV chargers this year! Property owner was easy to chat with and helpful. Great stay!

The condo itself was nice. Disappointed not being able to swim in the lake. The tiki bar was not open and being renovated. Rented kayaks but many spots you could stand up in water up to your knees. Pool was nice. Owner responsive when tv had issues. Wish we had known before we booked that the lake was not what we expected due to dam repairs. Price way too high for lack of amenities that were expected.
