Shorewood 103 - Oceanfront 1st Floor Condo

The beach is steps away from an oceanfront ground floor condo in South Forest Beach. With a private patio accessible by the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Shorewood 103 enjoy easy access to the Atlantic Ocean and its white sandy beaches as well as the oceanfront swimming pool. After hours in the surf, vacationers return from the ocean using Shorewood's private beach walkway and then dip into the oceanfront swimming pool or a seasonally heated spa. Pool is Heated March 1 - April 30 and Oct 1 - November 30. Toddlers enjoy their separate wading pool. Shorewood is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Shorewood is two blocks from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. This unit has a King bed in the master, 2 twins in the 2nd plus a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Plenty of room for the 3 of us. The property is very well maintained. The pool and walkway to the beach are right outside the door. Coligny Park is close by where they have live music daily. The bike trails in Hilton Head are amazing. Beautiful location.

Beautful place. The bed was a bit hard and the shower pressure isn’t something to be messed around with it will knock your head off. No complaints though really. It was a beautiful place.

Out of the 9 villas we had rented for the week, this villa needs the most updating but the location was fantastic! Walk right off the back patio to the beach path or the pool. It had everything you need for a beach vacation. Would definitely recommend staying at 103.

103 had a water leak and we were moved to another unit … the property manager accommodated us nicely… was a unit on the 3rd floor and not right on the ocean but he did discount the room …

Shorewood Great Ocean View Condos

The living room and dining room were comfortable. The kitchen needs some updates. Dryer took over an hour to dry 2 towels even after cleaning the filter each time. Stovetop drip pans were rusty as were skillets . Master bathroom needs updated with grab bars. Second bathroom was perfect. The outdoor table and raised swivel chairs made a perfect place to have breakfast. Shorewood is the best condo in the area. Seashore Agency has excellent customer service and rates.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved our stay at Shorewood 2022. We have stayed here several times in the past with our boys and now with boys snd their families. Love the closeness to the beach and pool and to Coligney! Have stayed “fancier” resorts but love Shorewood! The condo could use some updates eg new king mattress and walk in showers. But the oceanfront location trumped those deficiencies

Perfect location

Condo is in a perfect location. Super close to the pool and boardwalk to the beach. Can sit on the patio and have a great ocean view. Unit is a little dated and could use some updates. But overall I’d stay here again for the location alone. Shorewood is an easy walk or bike ride to Coligny plaza. Easy check in and communication with seashore vacations. We did think it was odd that the complex never had a security person there during our stay. We lost our pool bag and could never find anyone working that could help us with a lost and found or anything. We called the security number and never got an answer.

Great location

Love the location, amazing views. Been going to HHI for 30 years and South Forest Beach is our favorite spot on the island. Close to Coligny and perfect for biking to anything you need. The Condo itself is a little out dated and we did have issues with the dryer the whole stay and a leak in the master bathroom which was very inconvenient with 5 people for a week. Seashore Vacations did try to correct the issues but were unsuccessful. The owner needs to update dryer and replace the microwave asap at the very least. We had to dry towels everyday at a coin laundromat which was very inconvenient.

Good location but avoid this unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was phenomenal but unit 103 was in poor shape. Very dirty with a swarm of fruit flies we spent the whole trip trying to eliminate. Water damage near A/C vents, knobs falling off cabinets & doors, moldy shower curtains and many other factors will keep me away from #103 again.

Needs major updating - very dirty unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, there were multiple dead cockroaches in the unit and one was crawling around the inside of the toilet bowl. I was scared every time I went to the bathroom! We have young children and were terrified to put our kids down on the ground to play. Bathrooms are very dated, mold growing in places, paint chipping everywhere. There were dirty, used linens in the shower from previous guests. Tufts of hair/fuzz were floating all over the condo as well. It was just plain dirty. The location of the condo is great, Shorewood is an amazing property overall, and SeaShore Vacations were fantastic to work with - but I would never recommend this unit.

Not my best choice in 20 years on island

Master bed is so noisy when you move it wakes you up. Unit was clean. Property grounds and pool very well managed. I would expect for total of around $ 400.00 per night a higher quality unit. Should have listened to previous reviews. I would recommend this property but not unit 103.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at a few Shorewood units, and this has been one of our favorites. We enjoy the ease of access of the ground floor unit with smaller kids. You can somewhat hear the unit above you (chairs moving, walking), but that's expected and it did not bother us. The living areas were comfortable, and the patio with steps down to the grass were great for an evening drink and lawn games. The Shorewood property itself continues to be our favorite as well. The pool was never overcrowded and we could always find a nice spot on the beach right near the access boardwalk. Seashore Vacations is the best rental company we have worked with in Hilton Head and we highly recommend renting from them. We look forward to our next trip!

Wonderful Vacation

Unit 103 was perfect for us, well laid out with exactly the kitchen items we needed. Some small things may need to be updated but people should treat the property as their own and take care of it . There was one small issue with one of the TVs (probably user error) and Seashore Vacations helped me and it was quickly resolved. Their staff was amazing!

Reviewer Comments: The best thing about the condo was the location on the first floor-to be able to walk right out the back door and easily get to the beach or the pool. We really liked the easy access. The condo itself, however, is extremely dated. It didn’t feel clean when we walked in... There was some sand on the floor and just the look of everything was so dated that it felt a little bit dirty. The recliner was broken, the dryer didn’t work so we were not able to use it all week, and the air conditioning was broken the first day that we got there, so we had to wait up until almost midnight for a technician to fix it. It did get fixed, and that made a huge difference for the rest of the stay. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and really need to be replaced. Will be needing a chiropractor visit ASAP.As frustrating as it was to deal with the air conditioning, a broken dryer, etc., The management company did what they could to help make things right. They were very responsive, got a repair person out three times to check on it even though the repairs didn’t work and the dryer simply needed replaced. We like the property and the location and will likely return, although we will definitely pick another condo.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: OVERALL - This rental unit needs some love. I feel like I kept looking for something to feel good about within the unit itself, but failed (moldy shower curtain liner, cook/bakeware cheap and past end of life, outlets loose at the wall). Besides the "guest bathroom" walk-in shower update, the whole unit felt like a cheap flip including the furniture. I ended up getting sick with a stomach bug that lasted the whole week my family was there and I could find little comfort inside the unit. The beds were rock hard. The couch was uncomfortable. Unit was not well cleaned prior to our arrival - cobwebs with a large bug on a wall, visible cobwebs in corners of rooms, etc. While we have no issue with Seashore Vacations and found them to be very professional and helpful, I'd definitely look into other units at this same location if you are looking for something nicer or more comfortable, but want to be close enough to the action. If we come back to the Hilton Head area, we would definitely check to see if this unit had any updates done (especially bed/couch updates) before we searched elsewhere. *I did find this property to be the perfect distance from the circle - far enough to not have the public beach music to be an issue or feel crowded. You could see the crowd down the beach, but you weren't really in it yourself.*

A Gem in South Forest Beach

While an easy walk to Coligny and all the amenities in Forest Beach, Shorewood 103 provided a quiet and relaxing getaway from the hustle-bustle vacation activities. Although on the 1st floor, Shorewood 103 has a lovely view of the natural dunes and the ocean just beyond.

Not worth the money

Location is great, but the condo is run down and need of a complete update. The twin beds are interesting choice . The TV has problems and need of something. We have stayed in many condo's in Hilton Head and this is one of the most disappointing we have ever stayed in.
