The owners of Raven Rock have completed the construction and furnishing of their dream vacation home on Lopez Island and it is now ready for your family to enjoy. You will find this lovely waterfront home tucked away down a country lane, surrounded by natural landscape and a grassy lawn at the bluff over the shoreline. Built in the midst of a sunny five acre property, the home offers a sparkling blue water view that can be fully enjoyed from the large deck on the waterside. The beach below the bluff adjoins one of the most beautiful stretches of sand on the Island, Beach access is approximate 1/2 mile down Military Road to Upright Channel State Park. Once at the park, It is a short, down a beautiful wooded trail to access this lovely picnic and sunbathing spot.

Despite the elegance of a sandstone tiled entry and gleaming Brazilian Koa floors in the great room, the atmosphere is that of a casual island residence. Everything is new, yet there is a flavor of vintage in the mix of materials and furnishings. The spacious kitchen features high end appliances and a farmhouse sink. To make meal preparation a joy, there is a dining table with seating for up to 8. The living room offers a cozy wood stove, TV, and an alcove with a comfy window seat that beckons one to curl up with a book.

With three bedrooms and two baths, the home works well for various guest configurations. The master bedroom offers a queen size bed and en-suite bath with tub and walk in shower. A second bedroom also offers a queen bed, and the third bedroom is outfitted with two twin beds. A bathroom in the hall services the second two bedrooms. Both bathrooms feature walk in showers, tiled surrounds, and painted ceramic sinks.

Please note this home has two small steps on a gravel path leading to the entrance of the home.

Family Reunion

We fell in love with Raven Rock! My sister-in-law has lived on Lopez Island for over 20 years, and this was the first time all of the family from the East Coast flew out together. Needless to say, we needed more room, so my husband, my daughter and her family stayed at Raven Rock, just a short five minute drive away. I can honestly say that this was the first home we rented through VRBO that I didn't want to leave. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and very comfortable. Oh, and the views are spectacular.

Biking getaway

We came up to bike the Islands for a few days. We only got out once due to the rain, but this house was perfect for us. Close to the ferry. Close to town. Quiet, nice view. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. We would definitely come again. The beds were all harder than we are used to, but that is a matter of preference.

Raven Rock for the Win!

We had a great stay on Lopez. From the moment we walked in, I knew the home had been deep cleaned and prepared for our arrival. The view was fabulous including the treat of watching the ferries go by. We had everything we needed. It was wonderful.

Lovely view

We stayed at this house on Lopez for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The house was beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. We liked how all the bedrooms were spread out so made it very quiet and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we loved sitting on the deck watching the water and deer visitors in the yard. We took short drives to lots of beaches nearby and explored the island easily from the house. Even the driveway to the house was a fun experience, spotting lots of deer and their babies. The only little things we all commented on to make it even better would be to cut back a few of the smaller trees blocking the water view and some darker shades in the bedrooms to block out sunlight for sleeping. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Great place, but a few cleanliness issues

The house was great - a quiet location, lovely water views. Great open layout, large kitchen. Relaxing living room with views. Deck was wonderful - large, and with a BBQ. Short bike ride into town. The house wasn't crazy clean when we arrived. There was crumbs on a couch. Both bathrooms had hair around the sink and in the tub. A lot of the plates and utensils in the kitchen needed washing. A few forks had crusty food on them. The BBQ wasn't clean, and a BBQ fork was left by the BBQ that was covered in food. Would certainly visit again, but would ideally like the house cleaner, so we didn't have to spend a couple of hours cleaning the place.

Very comfortable and fun!

We took every advantage to be on the water which was close by. The direct access to the beach is a cliff. The outdoor fire ring was awesome as was the views from the living room and porch. We loved Lopez. Thanks for sharing your home. Great time!

Fantastic week at your beautiful home. Master mattress really needs to be replaced. Plants outside front door need some serious trimming. Some leveling around fire pit would be fabulous (and safer). Hope this helps and hope to be back someday!
