The villa is part of a well-maintained property with another home on-site. That residence is occasionally occupied, offering a very low-key presence that keeps the grounds beautifully cared for while ensuring an effortless and enjoyable stay. Whether you’re lounging by the crystal-clear pool, enjoying the outdoor rancho with a BBQ grill and beverage fridge, relaxing on the teak wood deck with a good book, or exploring the nearby beaches, you’ll have the perfect space to unwind and soak up the best of Costa Rica.

Property Shared with Another Home – While you’ll have full privacy and access to the villa, including exclusive use of the pool and rancho, please note that the property also includes another home that may be occasionally occupied. The occupants are low-key and help maintain the grounds, ensuring a peaceful and well-cared-for environment throughout your stay.

Power Outages: Costa Rica experiences occasional power outages, especially during heavy rain or strong winds. These are usually temporary but something to be aware of.

Wildlife & Nature: The property is surrounded by lush nature, contributing to Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity. Despite regular fumigation, it is possible to encounter insects or wildlife both outside and inside the home.

Security - We have three EXTERIOR motion-activated cameras recording audio and video: one covers the north outside facing wall, another covers the east facing wall and the other monitors the car parking area and front gate to ensure safety while maintaining privacy as best as possible. None are monitoring guest common areas.

Beach Essentials: While the amenities list mentions beach essentials like beach towels, an umbrella, beach blanket, and snorkeling gear, we want to clarify that we currently provide only beach chairs and a small cooler. These other items were automatically added by the booking app, and unfortunately, we’re unable to remove them. That said, we’ve got you covered with the basics for a relaxing beach day!
Allowed Guests:
Only the number of guests listed in the reservation are permitted on the property. Additional or unregistered guests are not permitted at any time. If this rule is violated, a $300 charge will be applied for the stay, and the reservation may be terminated immediately without refund.

Guest Registration:
Government-issued ID is required from all guests prior to check-in for security and guest registration purposes.

Cooling:
Casa Agua Salada is equipped with energy-efficient split-unit air conditioning in each bedroom and the living room, ensuring a comfortable stay in Costa Rica`s warm climate. The system can detect when a room has been unoccupied for a while or if doors or windows are left open, and it may automatically turn off the AC to save energy. Don’t worry—you can easily turn it back on using the remote.
✔ Please turn off the AC when leaving the house – Rooms cool down quickly, so there’s no need to leave it running.
✔ Keep doors and windows closed while the AC is on – This helps maintain the temperature and supports the smart system in working efficiently.
✔ Use ceiling fans along with the AC to circulate cool air more effectively.

Strict No Smoking Policy:
Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the property - if smoke or odor is detected indoors, a cleaning and deodorizing fee of $500 will apply.

Furniture Movement:
For the safety and comfort of all guests, please do not move any furniture during your stay, including beds and sofa. Keeping furniture in its designated place helps prevent accidents and keeps the property in excellent condition for everyone. Following this house rule contributes to a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

No confetti, glitter, or party poppers – These are not allowed as they are very difficult to clean and can damage the pool and outdoor areas.
