Historic Cottage 2 blocks to Beach & Town

You will find everything you need in this well thought out cottage for a wonderful beach vacation! This historic beach bungalow was built in 1926. It is on the historic register designated as a 'key' contributor. The cottage was completely remodeled and updated in 2011. Located two short blocks to Main Beach and downtown, you will find Laguna's favorite restaurants and shops within a two minute walk. Our cottage has two bedrooms: the master bedroom has a king bed with french doors that open onto a peek-a-boo ocean view deck and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with a tub.

The fully-stocked, eat-in kitchen has been upgraded with all new appliances (refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher) as well as a built in water filter for fresh drinking water. The LG full sized washer and dryer are brand new and our located in an attached laundry room.

You will find all the comforts of home in our spotless cottage, including a 42'' flat panel TV with advanced programming cable and WIFI internet. All linens and utilities are provided, and weekly maid service can be arranged for an additional fee.

You will have everything you need to enjoy the perfect Laguna Beach vacation. There is a small one car attached garage for your use, however with the close proximity to town and the beach, you will have no need for a car!

Perfect cottage in every way!

If you want an incredible, authentic Laguna cottage to enjoy, this is your place. My wife and I spent the month of February here and can tell you, it is the perfect place to stay. First of all the location is incredible. We walked everywhere. Really only needed our car to venture away from Laguna. The walk to the beach is less than 6 minutes. The same amount of time to walk downtown Laguna Beach. Location, location, location! The layout of our cottage is perfect if you have guests stay or visit you. One end is the Master Bedroom with lovely bathroom and large glass shower. The other bedroom is on the other side of the home, with its own beautiful bathroom. It includes a full-size tub and shower. In between is the fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and very nice size family room. Nice large size flat-screen. I hate to give this cottage such an incredible review, because it will just make it that more difficult to rent it next time. That is why we have already decided to rent it again for February 2019! I can't say enough about Alison and her family. They were the best! Clean, quality, fully stocked with everything in terrific working condition. We travel all over the world and can honestly say, we loved our experience here.

Outstanding!

The green house is an outstanding rental with a great location. My wife and I have stayed in it in winter for the past six years and plan to do so again in 2019. It is a perfect retreat from Chicago's winters. The house is located on the edge of downtown, putting the beach, shops, galleries, coffee shops, and restaurants within easy walking distance. The accommodations are terrific. The house is sunny, clean and well-maintained. It is a comfortable place to visit, and Alison is a friendly and responsive hostess. As I said, we've stayed in the house for six straight years and would not consider another place in Laguna.

So close to the beach!

We have rented both of Alison's cottages the last few summers and have had a great experience every time! She is super easy to work with and both of her cottages are really cute! I would highly recommend her rental properties!

Totally Awesome!

Looking from the outside, you would not imagine how spacious this cottage really is! I stayed at the green cottage for about 6 weeks and it only took a day or two for it to feel like a home. The personal touches that Alison has put into the cottages are remarkable. Everyday for the first week, there was something new that I hadn't noticed the day before. Be it a picture on the wall, or the light on the ceiling in the second bedroom, that looked like shark teeth. I can not say enough about what a wonderful host Alison is. Anytime I called her, she would get back to me right away, even while on her vacation. She felt more like a friend, than just someone you were renting from. As I said you would never imagine the space inside. Particularly the main bedroom. The pictures do not do it justice. The high cathedral ceiling, to the patio doors out to the back deck, made it that more awesome! I have always wanted to stay in Laguna Beach and that is exactly what it is. Having access to the beach anytime of the day, not having to drive or park , was priceless! I would highly recommend a stay here and will be back again!

So close to everything ! Even the beach !

Our stay in one of the cottages of Alison was a match made in heaven. The owner, Alison had taken care of everything. Even a good bottle of Californian wine when we arrived. The cottage is the perfect home to be in Laguna. Close to the beach - like 3 minutes walk - close to Wholefoods and Forest Ave which has the best restaurants if you do not feel like cooking. If you do, the cottage has it all to help you cook your favourite meals. Even a BBQ outside on the cozy patio where we have breakfast too. The rooms are very clean and so nicely "beachy" decorated. You know, we are going back within 2 weeks - so we are hooked ! You will be too !

Super chilled Laguna Beach cottage

Our family recently had a fantastic break in the beautiful green cottage. From my initial booking queries, through to the day we checked out, Alison was super helpful and made everything really easy for us. The cottage itself is exactly what you'd want in a location as cool as Laguna Beach. It feels like you are staying in a slice of history, but with all of the modern facilities that you need. Location wise, its ideal. Just a brief stroll and you are in the town with all of its restaurants and shops, and more importantly the wonderful beach. I can't recommend this place enough. If you are considering making a booking, do it. You won't be disappointed!

Perfect!

My wife and I have now stayed in the green house for a month for the past four years, the last three of which were under Alison's command. We have booked again for 2017, which should say about all that is necessary about our view of the house. We love being in Laguna Beach in the winter and have not seen a rental that would suit us any better than the green house. As others have noted, just about everything important for a beach vacation or monthly getaway is within walking distance. The only exceptions are movie theaters (the one in Laguna Beach has closed) and golf courses, both of which are within easy driving distance. The green house is well maintained and clean. And Alison is a great proprietor and hostess. In sum, the house is the perfect setup for a great vacation.

Great Experience in Laguna Beach

Let me start off by saying, I am not one for lengthy memo or reviews. I had the pleasure of spending some time at the cottage in Laguna Beach. This is a great (clean and updated) cottage in the center of everything Laguna Beach has to offer. Walk to beach, run the path to Heisler Park, walk to farmers market on Sat. walk to Laguna coffee, go to Loft Bar at night for Music, etc, etc, etc... You get the point. Alison is a great host and made sure everything was perfect!!!!!!!!!!

Dream house

What 's not to love about the ideal beach cottage. It was a fantasy vacation for me in the perfect summer, beach, historical home. Every detail is just as you imagine it should be: so cute, so beachy and so convenient. The house is close to everything and there is more room than you think there will be with everything included that you could possibly want. Alison and her parents are accessible, kind, patient, and very easy to work with. Everyone should have a chance to stay here. Great house.

A dream

This is a magnificently maintained cottage in the heart of Laguna Beach. I stayed for 6 weeks. It is very spacious, and beautifully decorated. There is not a single thing I'd change. Town is a block away, the beach is 4 blocks away. Alison is a wonderful owner - available to answer questions or help in any way. I'd move in forever if I could!

Wonderful Visit!!!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this Laguna Cottage!! Everything we needed was within walking distance; the cottage is beautifully decorated and the owner was very helpful and welcoming! We travelled with our two children - who also loved their room in the cottage! We wouldn`t hesitate to recommend this cottage and return in the future!

A little cottage in paradise

We have traveled to Laguna Beach numerous times. The cottage was a delight. You can walk to the beach, all restaurants and Laguna Village are within steps. You really do not need a car while you stay at this location. The cottage was well kept, clean and quaint. Looking forward to our next trip.

Amazing beach cottage!!!

This cottage is the perfect get away. So close to main beach and downtown that you don't even need car if you don't want one. The cottage is just as the pictures show. Bright airy and very clean. The master bedroom has these gorgeous double patio doors that open onto your own private deck. The beds are comfy with duvets. The kitchen is nicely stocked to cook a few meals at home if you choose. The laundry room is well appointed with beach chairs, sand toys, boggie boards, cooler bags and an umbrella. Alison is so great to work with, giving tips on local restaurants,meeting you upon arrival and checking in with a quick email to see how your stay is going. I would recommend her cottage to anyone. We will back next spring for sure!

Beautiful Beach Cottage!

My family stays here once a year and they love it. It's walking distance to downtown Laguna and the beach. They had only stayed during the summer so they were a bit worried about the winter weather, but it turned out to be great.

Experience the good life in Laguna Beach

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. We have small children and the home was perfect for us. For the first time in as long as I can remember, we didn't miss having a car since we were within walking distance of both the beach and the heart of Laguna. I've used VRBO on several occasions and can honestly say that this home owner's hospitality was unmatched. All the comforts of home amongst some of the happiest people on earth. God willing, my family and I will definitely be returning again.

Everything at the Green Cottage in Laguna Beach was impeccable. Allyson was a delight and very helpful. The house was well and generously stocked which helped with the cooking and cleaning. The house was very comfortable and well situated for walking everywhere. We will return!
