The state enacted a new short-term rental tax that adds about 12% to the rental cost. The website platform makes it confusing to share contact information until the property is booked. We apologize that the house didn't meet your standards. Due to the pandemic, we've been struggling with scheduling a major renovation as we recognize the condition of the house. Once complete, we will raise our rates accordingly so, in the meantime we hope our renters balance their expectations of the condition with the rate we charge. We've been planning a significant renovation since before the pandemic to address some issues you noted as well as add another bathroom and more space. For a variety of reasons we have not moved forward with a plan yet but we hope our renters will balance their expectations of the condition of the house with the rate we charge which is generally below market. In regard to linens there is a linen company that rents linens because many landlords do not provide them. There are many reasons for this such as some renters are particular about the condition of provided linens and another is cost. Again, we're sorry you were disappointed and understand your issues.
