Point Break Cottage- Steps to Beach- Community Pool & Spa

This upper level round cottage is just two cottages back from the ocean and features a good panoramic view of the ocean. When renting Point Break, you have access to a bright and open, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living area with plush sofas, and views of the ocean. The villa accommodates up to 6 vacationers with a master suite with a king bed and full bath, and a second bedroom with two double beds and a hall bathroom. Offering all the basics to get you started on your vacation, such as toilet paper and paper towels, we're certain you'll be happy upon arrival. With access to a resort pool and spa, fish cleaning stations, unlimited beach access, private parking, and outside hot/cold showers make this the perfect choice for a relaxing vacation. At this Point, we don't see a reason you wouldn't want to plan your ideal vacation in Point Break!

nice spot

clean affordable pet friendly few steps from the shore kitchen well equiped we were happy to find this spot in buxton because we like this part of the OBX only thing we were sad about - spa is close for the winter we would go back again with pleasure

Buxton vacation

The house & location were great. I wish there had been a few more simple amenities-sponge, salt & pepper, tin foil, etc. Our only complaint was we were notified that within an hour we had to get home to get our dog bcuz pest control was coming. So we had to cancel reservations for an excursion to get home without any prior notice. Also, the AC broke, so first we sweat & then we couldnt go anywhere so that they could come work on it for 2 days. Obviously, not their fault, but we lost vacation time & excursions bcuz of both & no one apologized or cared that we were put out.

Everything was as listed and expected, location, view, interior. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed our mini vacation in Buxton!

Very peaceful

My daughter and I stayed for a couple days off season. It was gorgeous. Nice view of the ocean. Very quiet. Most of the local restaurants were closed. There is a nice little market close by. Great place to be off the grid. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Great location at a great price

Our second floor deck had a wonderful view of the ocean. The house is simple, understated, not a lot of frilly beach stuff on the walls or shelves.

It is very comfortable and I am hoping the king mattress is the update project for next year. We love this place, love the deck, outdoor furniture and location. Price continues to rise and don’t think it is set off season rates as it used to be. May impact our choice in future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is wonderful. The other guests are friendly and kind. First time I traveled to the beach with my dog for vacation. The deck was great for viewing the beach and there was room enough for all of us to relax comfortably. Close to everything you could need and plenty of local sights to visit. It was a wonderful trip. Highly recommend if you don't want touristy trap vacations, this is quiet and everyone I've met here has been kind.

Our units have always been clean and well maintained. Managers have always been helpful. Love the beachfront access and like the "round house" cottages the best! I would highly recommend Lighthouse View to anyone staying in the Buxton area.

Great beach-front vacation stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year staying at Lighthouse View - this year just one circle house farther back from the ocean. We were worried the ocean view wouldn't be as good from farther back, but it was still great! The house is comfortably furnished and surprisingly sand-free and the beaches always have lots of space so you never feel "too close" to another family. The kitchen amenities could be a bit better (we definitely didn't have enough trash bags or dishwasher pods for the week) and some extra food storage containers or large bowls would be helpful for food preparation.

Excellent stay

Ample size for a couple plus one single adult and a dog with two bedrooms and two baths. Steps from the beach. Loved seeing the ocean first thing in the morning and last glimpse at night from windows and deck. Interior with recent renovations of marble counters, new cabinets, new utensils and appliances. Equipped with everything we needed for meals made staying in. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Highly recommend staying on this southern part of Cape Hatteras near the lighthouse, sand as far as you can see and we took a day trip to Ocracoake. Excellent communication from Lighthouse managers.

Great location!

We had a great weekend. The dogs loved the porch and what a wonderful view of the ocean. Very comfortable furnishings. This is a really terrific location.

Christmas Getaway

We decided to do something different for Christmas this year. What better than a beach trip. Nice and quiet location. Great beaches. The only negative thing was how clean it was. It was clean just dusty. Nothing that couldn’t be over looked.

Fabulous stay at the light house view, ocean front, Amazing at xmas time!

My husband and I took off on a spur of the moment get away. We haven't been anywhere since Covid. It was December 2021 and it was around the upper 60s low 70s. We will be returning. The place was super clean and very convenient to walk the beach every morning.

The Duplex was clean and updated very nicely with plenty of kitchen supplies provided, as well as beddings & towels. We had a great stay all week and look forward to staying again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I found this place in 2020 and think it will be a yearly visit. The views cannot get any better than at Lighthouse View. You are so close to the water, the sunrises are beautiful. I’ve been coming to the Outer Banks for 20 some years and this by far is the closest I’ve ever been oceanfront. The staff are very responsive and friendly. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy and the updates are very nice. Hopefully will be back in 2022.
