This upper level duplex cottage is only about 200 feet from the beach and has a moderate ocean view. Renting Pelican Place gives you access to a master suite with a king bed and full bath, a queen bed bedroom, and a bedroom with two double beds and a hall bathroom, offering a comfortable and spacious vacation for up to 6 guests! Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with comfortable living area with large plush sofas and small dining area. Offering all the basics to get you started on your vacation, such as toilet paper and paper towels, we're certain you'll be happy upon arrival. With only a short walk to the beach and just a little farther to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, East cottage offers a convenient location. With access to a resort pool and spa, fish cleaning stations, and unlimited beach access, coast over to Pelican Place for your perfect getaway!

Amazing with a great view

The property was as advertised. Checking and out was really easy. The proximity to the beach and pool was spot on. The convenience to conner's grocery and local fare was helpful.

Clean and Nice location

We enjoyed this nice place during the Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful side view of the ocean and a very close walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Very clean and spacious too!

Good location, Good Stay

Firat of all, this was a great location. My wife, my brother, and I had access to everything we wanted to do from here. The kitchen is works great for those that are planning to eat out. Not much in the way of cooking utensils or space, but we had read reviews and were prepared. It was enough space for the 3 of us. We fished a lot. The beds were minimally comfortable, the pillows not so much. Having to make the beds and empty the dishwasher when we arrived were unexpected, but no big deal. Easy access to the beach and in/out of the neighborhood were nice. I would stay again.

Great beach stay

This cute little upper level condo is a great find! Very comfortable for the whole family and our little pet. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and mere steps away from the beach. Wake up each morning to beautiful sunrises. Will def be back

We’ve been coming to the outer banks for 16 years now and the lighthouse view has steadily been a wonderful place to stay.

Great location and met all our needs.

We loved this place!!! It was clean and so close to the beach. There were 6 of us who stayed there (4 adults, 2 kids, and a dog). It was convenient having the laundry below, and the rooms were a great size. The only drawback was if you plan to get this place and get food to eat throughout the week, we had to use the shelf space in the tops of the closets to store non-perishables. Not a huge deal, but just be ready to be creative with space for food. We liked the resort, the area, and place enough that we may just look at one of their bigger options for next time.

Love the Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at the East Cottage for many years and really like the location. Also, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I think just a few updates to the cottage would improve our stay. The ceiling fans all need to be replaced. We also would like to have the ice maker in the fridge to be operational. We did notice they had new fixtures in the bathrooms and updated covers on the beds Overall, a great location and nice place to stay. We'll definitely be back!

Heaven on the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Marketing pictures don’t do justice. The property sits just off the beach. Listening to the waves crash all night was incredible. Plenty of room for our party in all 3 bedrooms. A little light on cooking accessories and equipment (bowls pans) but we managed.

Nice Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is close to the beach with a balcony view. It is not fancy, but clean and comfortable. There is a shared swimming pool and hot tub just a short distance away. The unit also has a washer/dryer and carport. My wife and I brought my daughter and three grand children with us and everyone enjoyed our stay. The property is close to many good restaurants and stores. The manager stayed in contact with us during our stay to make sure we had what we needed. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back some day.

Overall, a good stay with some room for improvement

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first-time stay on the OBX and we had a wonderful time. Some comments that may help others:1. The beach is highly eroded and the sand dune to access the beach is difficult to climb for older people or people with mobility issues. Once over the dune, you are met with little beach and houses halfway in the surf. At high tide, everyone was trying to fit onto the dune and it was hard to get past the houses in the surf.2. Every single window blind in the rental was broken. You had to manually maneuver each and every slat to open and close them.3. Carpet was filthy.4. When we arrived, the dishwasher was full of dishes.5. The TV remotes did not work - we had to call maintenance.6. The guests before us kindly set the two clock alarms to go off in the middle of the night, I guess as a joke.7. The swimming pool is small and shared with many other units. It gets packed.8. We had heavy rain and the road in front of the condo floods - be careful where you park!9. I'm assuming that the floors have no sound barrier because we could hear our neighbors as if they were in the same room with us.8. We rented bikes, but it is not safe to ride bikes in this town - the roads are too narrow and there are no bike paths.9. We did enjoy the location - being close to Avon and next to the national park and the lighthouse. However, I would not stay in this location again as there were too many units and not enough beach for everyone.

Simple Paradise

Location. Location. Location. Our stay was precisely what we were looking for. The house has everything you would need for a beach vacation. The location cannot be beat. The host was very helpful with check in process and answering any questions we had. There’s nothing glitzy and glamorous about the house but you don’t need that when staying at the OBX. Very convenient location to some great restaurants and to the lighthouse. Cannot be beat. Definitely will be looking to see if this house is available for our future trips.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Buxton is a quiet relaxing village perfect for a family break. We found the accommodation spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The only thing that we could complain about was the bedroom TVs had no remotes and therefore we couldn’t use them . I’m sure a quick phone call would have fixed this issue but it was no big deal
