I do want to address your concerns. The alarm is a chime that sounds every time a door is opened, which is designed as an additional layer of security for our guests' safety. It can easily be turned off from the security alarm panel located inside the suite. I would have been more than happy to share with you the button to press in order to bypass the chime. In addition, we offer a variety of lighting including all overhead lighting on dimmer switches, Again, if you were unhappy, I wish you would have notified me. I would have gladly delivered lamps to you personally. If we are not made aware of issues causing you displeasure during your stay, we are not afforded the opportunity to rectify them, which is upsetting to us when our goal is to make sure you feel as at-home as possible. I apologize you did not see the step, and we will certainly take measures to ensure it is clearly marked. You were wonderful guests and left the property in fabulous condition. I am a long-time Charlestonian and active member of this community and only want our visitors to love Charleston and their time here as much as I and my family do.
