THE DEEP DIVE
All BeachHauses are engineered for simple, easy living. All BeachHauses feature self check-in and check-out. They're stocked with beach toys, beach towels, bath towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, olive oil, and cooking-ready kitchens.

Grab your wine glass or your koozie and your beach cooler: it's all here waiting for you. Then stroll out this charming 1950's beach bungalow--one of a charming duplex duo--and you're at the beach. Some say it's a two minute walk, or with little kids you may clock in at four minutes. But it's an easy flat stroll with a crosswalk that flashes and California drivers who attentively halt when you even think about crossing the road. Enjoy Del Mar's locally famous 25th street beach, which rolls contemplative in the morning and bustles during the day. And then come back to your home away from home: our owners consistently stay here and make little tweaks and improvements, so you know it's truly livable and ready for you.

We had a WONDERFUL stay at Turtle Retreat! The cottage is so cute, clean and comfortable! BeachHaus has honestly thought of EVERYTHING you might need for your stay!!! We can't wait to come back!!! Thank you again!!!

A great place to stay for a weekend. We parked the car on Saturday morning and didn't use it again until we left on Monday morning. Beach walks, strolling into town, drinking wine on the patio. Definitely recommend

Excellent stay in Del Mar!

Turtle Retreat is a great property for a small family. Comfortable living room and bedrooms. Has all the amenities you need for a multiple night stay - kitchen appliances/supplies, beach chairs, etc. Very short walk to a main beach access point. Loved our stay!

It’s such a lovely property. Great location in Del Mar. The space is really wonderfully designed with plenty of attention to detail. And the cute backyard is perfect.

Beautiful property that has absolutely everything you could possibly need. We booked last minute and they were super accomodating. A very short walk to a gorgeous beach, and the fairgrounds are just around the corner. We hope to come back soon!

Just as great a the photos

Maybe even better! We loved staying here and will definitely be back! I travel a ton for work and often stay at rental homes and they often do not live up to their photos. This place did! It was spotless, beautifully taken care of and just so cute! thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great location and well maintained

We had a a great stay. The walk to the beach was wonderful. They do a great job maintaining the property. The only issue we had was our dog. He would bark when the gate that was next to our apartment opened and closed. No protective mini Goldendoodle - no problem…

Lovely cottage by the sea

Can not say enough about what a lovely spot this was. Great location a block from the beach. Wonderful patio to read on. Great for my dog too. Would book again.

Amazing stay and great hosts

This property is as advertised and is a lovey get away! The host was super accommodating and helped us when there was a travel disruption that caused our trip to go an extra day. The baby gear here was also fantastic and saved us a huge amount of effort to bring ours from home. We will be staying here again!

Great Place, Great Location

We really enjoyed our experience! The rental property was amazing. It was incredibly clean and decorated very nicely. The location to the beach was perfect. I'd highly recommend this rental property, as well as this rental company. They are very good with their communication.

ALWAYS WONDERFUL

We enjoyed the 4th of July holiday at the Turtle Retreat. We enjoy our stacation every year in Del Mar and this year was no exception. This adorable cottage has an excellent location just a block or so off of the beach. We were able to easily walk to Downtown Del Mar, back and forth to the SD Fair and into Solana Beach for restaurants, drinks and fun. We will absolutely stay again!

Charming beach property

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at Turtle retreat. It is a lovely place with lots of well thought out details to make it very comfortable. It is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood with close beach access to beautiful Del-Mar beach. The restaurants and shops in town are nearby. The host was so nice to work with and communication was excellent. We will definitely be back for another trip.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at the Turtle Retreat. We loved being so close to the beach! It is an easy walk with kids and the wagons provided at the house are very helpful for beach gear! The unit was set up so well and our family of 4 was very comfortable the entire time. Brenda was very responsive and helpful during our stay. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re back in Del Mar! Thanks for a great experience!

Just what we needed

This place was perfect for us. Extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked breakfast every morning and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evenings on the back deck. We took morning and afternoon walks on the beach which was just a few minutes walk away from our front door. We look forward to a future stay. Thanks for hostessing us.

Perfect Location For Summer Beach Fun

Every morning we walked two short blocks from the house to take a walk on the beach and swim in the ocean. We would repeat this every evening at sunset! The house is small, but perfectly outfitted with beach toys, wagon, towels, etc. We ate our meals at the outdoor dining patio and had easy access to the washing machine and dryer. It was perfect and stress-free!

Quaint condo, close to the beach

Our family had a great stay! Loved how close we were to the beach, so we could pop back for our kiddo's nap time. Enjoyed the amenities of included high chair, Pack N Play and beach toys. Close drive or mile(ish) walk to many great dining options. Great kitchen and outdoor dining made staying in nice too. Loved watching surfers at Powerhouse Park. Would advise light sleepers to pack ear plugs for sleeping as the Amtrak passes at the end of the block, multiple times in the night.
