Tucked along a peaceful country road in Clinton Corners, Longview Pond Lodge is a soul-stirring escape where 19th-century charm meets contemporary allure. Originally built in 1869 as a working barn, this one-of-a-kind home has been reimagined into a dramatic, light-filled residence that celebrates both its historic bones and the serenity of its surroundings.

Set on nearly two rolling acres overlooking a tranquil pond and shimmering pool, the home's original timber beams soar three stories high, anchoring cathedral ceilings and open living spaces with authentic character. Inside, hardwood floors run throughout, leading you from a showstopping living room with a towering stone fireplace to a chef's eat-in kitchen complete with a butler's pantry and bar—ideal for cozy nights in or festive entertaining. The adjacent oversized dining room is made for lingering meals and spirited conversation, while a quiet den with a half bath offers a peaceful space for work or reflection.

Upstairs, three distinctive bedrooms—each with its own en-suite bath—are arranged around an architectural catwalk that floats among exposed beams and antique joists. Downstairs, the expansive walk-out family room opens directly to the pool deck and includes a secondary kitchen, making indoor-outdoor gatherings effortless. After a swim, rinse off under the outdoor shower or simply relax on the large screened porch with a drink in hand as you watch wildlife gather near the water.

Beyond the porch lies a two-car garage and a charming outbuilding perfect for creative projects, hobbies, or storage. Whether you're curled up fireside or wandering the wooded grounds, this home offers an inspiring blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort—all just two hours from NYC and minutes from Rhinebeck and Red Hook.

Comprised of quaint towns, each with their own charming main street, upstate New York’s Hudson Valley is famed for its natural beauty and seasonal produce. After all, it was here that inspired an entire artistic movement of Romantic painters who captured the area’s rolling hills, colorful foliage, and pastoral setting. View the landscapes in person by hiking the Catskill Mountains. Then, visit local farms where there’s a lot to pick: apples in the fall, strawberries in the summer, and vegetables in between.

Local attractions: Stone Ridge offers easy access to some of the Hudson Valley’s top spots—hike the cliffs and trails of Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska, explore Woodstock and Kingston’s arts and dining scenes, visit Olana and Opus 40, sip along the Shawangunk Wine Trail, and unwind by the Ashokan and Rondout Reservoirs.

Home Truths:
- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- The private pool can be heated for an additional $100 per night.
- Please note that this home only has window unit ACs.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

We had a wonderful stay at the barn! It is a stunning house and the hosts were very communicative with any questions we had. All of the rooms were perfectly clean and cozy. We really enjoyed the spacious kitchen and dining area. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our stay and it was very close to the Omega Institute where our retreat was being held. It was very dark checking in and there were different codes for different points of entry. The darkness and varying codes made it more difficult to make our way through the garage and then into the home. The Glade plug in smell was overwhelming upon walking in and we had a hard time navigating the lights (some were switches, some of the wall switches weren’t working), but other than that it was comfortable. The charming home had a lovely view, porch, and pool, but sadly we didn’t get to partake as most of our waking hours were spent at Omega. I would possibly rent again another time if we had longer to enjoy the amenities.
