Kona Acres Vacation Home

This vacation home is your destination if you desire privacy, have a family or want a laid-back vacation. This luxury home is ideal for large family gatherings. The house is located on a secluded one-acre, tropically landscaped lot in a quiet, quality Hawaii neighborhood with a panoramic view of the Kona coast and amazing sunsets. This house is a fully furnished, one-story home containing approximately 2100 square feet of living area, including the lanai. The home has a large salt water solar heated swimming pool that overlooks the orchard and the Kona coast. Privacy around the pool is ensured by the design of the house; surrounded by tropical trees, shrubs and flowers for complete seclusion.

House has a primary and two guest bedrooms. The primary bedroom is furnished with a California king-size bed and has a full bath, while the guest bedrooms feature queen-size beds; one with a full bath and the other a one-half bath. The couch also makes into a queen-size bed. The kitchen is large and fully equipped for gourmet cooking. There's an outdoor BBQ for grilling pool side while watching the beautiful sunset. A large dining area accompanies the kitchen and there is a lanai that is perfect for pool side dining.

Mornings in Hawaii are a thing of beauty. Enjoy that first cup of coffee and fresh fruit from the orchard on the lanai that overlooks the beautiful Kona coast.

Our home is professionally cleaned after your stay so you can enjoy your last moments of vacation. Should you require housekeeping during your stay arrangements can be made with our cleaning service to check up on you.

PRIVATE SALT WATER POOL – Screened with tropical vegetation for privacy and solar heated. Salt water pool is a much healthier alternative to chlorine pools.

KITCHEN - Fully appointed, with Jenn Aire range, kitchen wares, and appliances.

Beautiful, perfect for a family!

We had 4 adults, a teen and two babies in this property with plenty of room! The pool was amazing and so fun, the outside dining area was great. The house was fully accommodating and had more than enough of what we needed to stay comfortable (beach towels, pool toys, playpen, etc). Would stay here again without a doubt.

You will love this!

If you like quiet, great views, swimming pools, and large avocados this is the place for you. Well located to shopping and Kona. Debbie is very accommodating and helpful. Five stars from all of us that had the pleasure of staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect and pool was awesome. Everything on the property is well looked after. We even had a tour of the Orchard with Tony the gardener which was extremely interesting. The fresh produce from the Orchard was amazing and very abundant. We would certainly go back again.

Fabulous and relaxing home!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We had such a fabulous time. We had a carpeted area to do yoga in the am - overlooking a beautiful ocean sunrise! The pool is private, warm and so relaxing. The gardens and fresh fruit was such a bonus. We ate so many bananas and papayas. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot for our stay!

Excellent accomodation

You really can’t go past this house . The cleanliness was absolutely immaculate and the owner has thought of every possible situation with what you may need to use whilst there ( Eskies, beach chairs, snorkels etc . ) It also has an abundance of tropical from from the orchard on the property and a beautiful pool overlooking magnificent ocean sunsets . Would definitely come back here . So nice to see a property properly maintained and cleaned inside and out .

Big Island Home

This was the perfect house for our family with adult children. It has everything you need for the beach! Coolers, chairs, towels and snorkeling gear. Also the kitchen is very well equipped, there’s even first aid kit‘s. Everything that you need this house has. The gardener Tony was great! He’d bring fresh papayas, mangoes, avocados, bananas, and figs. If we need a place again in Kona we will definitely come back to this house !

Beautiful, Private Home on the Kona Coast

We stayed at this property for a month. For most of the month it was just my husband and I, but some family came and stayed for a week. The location is great. It is near the airport and the beautiful sandy beaches of the north. The Matsuyama market is nearby for quick items and the big grocery stores are only a short fifteen drive away. The neighborhood is quiet, and the property is surrounded by trees and very private. The kitchen is very well stocked, and we ate most of our meals at the house. The house was very well stocked with paper products and soaps. It was very convenient that we had access to beach chairs and umbrellas. The host was very responsive. The sunset views were amazing, and the pool was so nice to have when not at the beach. We were working online while here and we never had an issue with the internet. There was a tsunami warning here, and we did not have to worry because the place up high past the tsunami zone. The high elevation also makes it cooler and more refreshing during the day and night. I highly recommend this place for people who are looking for beautiful, relaxing experience on the Big Island!!

Awesome vacation home

This home was a great fit for our family. Lots of room to spread out and very comfortable beds. It was very well stocked with lots of extras for the pool, beach, and just hanging around the house - the only thing we couldn't find was a machete to open the coconut found in the orchard. ;) The fruit was a special treat and the gardener was friendly and willing to answer any questions. The caretaker was very nice and patient as we had trouble getting our booking to go through on the site. The neighborhood was quiet and the view gorgeous. We would choose it again!

Pleasant and relaxing

The house was neat,tidy and clean. It was pleasant to have the private pool and quiet away from the noise of the coast. The view was beautiful but not always clear as the vog was in most of the time. That I am sure comes and goes. We could still see the coast most of the time even with the vog. We enjoyed eating and spending time on the Lani. Although the house is away from the ocean the hill side slops/drops down so you over see the coast. The building don't block the view and the greenery and flowers are a very pleasant sight. We were very pleased with our stay and the location. She was easy to contact and deal with any issues we had. We were very pleased with this VRBO and would stay again!

Peaceful

We loved our stay! The house was perfect. It had everything we needed as we cooked most meals at home. Any issues or questions we had Debbie was on top of it. Tony the groundskeeper was very knowledgeable about the orchard. We loved our tour and fresh fruit he delivered to us. So amazing to try new fruits we can’t get at home. He also showed us how to harvest bananas which my kids thought that was the coolest. The house is close to shopping and some local restaurants we tried. It was so nice after exploring all day to come home to the pool. We used the pool every day of our two week stay. Sunsets were so beautiful! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing vacation home

We are a group of 6 that travel together every winter for 2 week and stay at various tropical locations renting homes. This year we chose Kona for the second time. This house is by far one of the best homes yet, very roomy, well maintained, clean and extremely well stocked with kitchen wares, paper/cleaning product, beach chairs/snorkels/towels etc. List goes on. The pool is amazing and warm, and the ocean view from the pool deck is spectacular over the orchard that we could pick various fruits from every day. The bananas were a huge hit and delicious. The owner Tom was very gracious and caring with guests needs. The gardener will take you on a tour of the orchard and tell you all about the tropical plants and fruit trees. The airport is only 5 miles away, but not noisy, it is a very quiet neighbourhood. You could not ask for a better vacation home. Sharon (Saskatchewan Canada)

Property was beautiful! Lovely orchard- wonderful pool and home was large enough for 8 people.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in this great property! The pool is wonderful- ranges in 3ft to approx. 8-9 foot. The house was wonderful- works well for families- all the comforts of home. We had 4 kids (8, 12, 13, 14) and 4 adults. We just brought a couple of extra air matteress from home due to the ages of the kids, there is one king bed and 2 queens and the couch. The orchard was delightful! The highlight of the orchard is Tony the gardener- who was gracious enough to take us on a tour and delivers fresh fruits and vegetables from the orchard- he is such a kind and knowledgeable person! Debbie is so easy to work with and we felt very lucky to be able to stay here! Our family would love to go back here and would recommend it to anyone staying on the big island. Only 15 min. From the airport and roughly 15 min. From downtown. Quiet and secluded- yet wonderful amenities (BBQ, washer, dryer, coolers, all the necessities from home). Thank you again! We can't say enough about how lovely this place is and how wonderful Tony, Debbie and everyone else was to work with regarding this property! We would absolutely stay here again! The King and The Hall families.

Wonderful Stay!

My family and I had a great time staying at this property. Everything was beyond our expectations. The pool was wonderful, warm and inviting. Having our own private pool allowed us to go swimming anytime we wanted: Early morning, evening, even at night just before going to bed. We watched several sunsets from the deck. The kitchen was so well stocked that it was better in some respects than my own home kitchen. The house is designed so that most of the rooms look out at the view of the ocean and with 5 sliding glass doors, the cooling ocean breezes can enter the house when they are all open and make the whole house feel pleasant. The elevation of the home is also a plus, keeping it above the hot coastal areas and allowing it to cool off nicely at night. Having a washer and dryer allowed us to be able to do laundry and not have to bring so many clothes. We all loved the fruit growing in the yard in back of the house, as well. There were lots of mangoes, avocados, papayas, bananas, pomelos, jackfruit, soursop and who knows what else back there. Tony, the gardener, was full of information about the fruits and helped us to pick some coconuts, harvest the coconut water and cut them up to eat. Wow! What an amazing treat. Debra was wonderful to work with as well. She allowed us to arrive a few hours early to the house and to leave an hour later than check out time because our flights were later in the day. All in all, 5 stars is not enough for this wonderful treasure of a house. I can't wait to be able to stay here again. Thanks so much Debra for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Don’t stay here if you have small children

I will start out by saying that this is a wonderful house and we have wonderful memories from it. The pool is incredible and the gardener is very sweet. However nine days after our trip was done I got a message saying that they were keeping our security deposit because the house was in “terrible shape.” The pictures that they proceeded to send were of a dirty stove top and dirty toilets and a couple of pieces of cereal on the carpet. There were a couple of stains that I must’ve missed on the carpet, I do not recall seeing stains on the carpet but fair enough I have small children and that could’ve happened. I keep my house at home spotless, when we left this vacation home we left it in good shape I was shocked by the message that they sent. I do not go on vacation and spend SO much money to then be expected to deep clean. I will absolutely pick up and respect the house but the deep cleaning should be left to the housekeeper They also complained that we used to many towels. I did not know that there was a limit on how many towels that could be used. We even left clean towels in a basket with a note that said that they were clean. We followed all of the checkout procedures exactly as it was written. We would have loved to rebook this house year after year as our children get older but unfortunately it didn’t work out that way. I am a foster, adoptive and biological mother who has four children that are all young between the ages of three and five. They even complained about fingerprints on the wall. Ultimately I just don’t think this is a very good place for young children if these are the kind of complaints that the owner has. I’m really heartbroken over how this ended. I was in tears over their assessment of our stay. I do absolutely apologize if I missed stains on the carpet I would’ve been happy to clean those. I vacuumed the whole house before we left and if I had seen the stains I would have washed them out. This is not the review I wanted to leave but I do think families with small kids should be warned of what’s expected of them. All the best.

Fun & Relaxation

Great house with an awesome view! The pool allowed the kids to have fun and the adults to relax after a day of activities. Fresh fruit from the orchard was an added bonus; ask Tony for a tour. Close to several beaches and short drive from the airport. House was well stocked. Debbie was great to work with before and during our trip. We recommend staying here.

Great Family Home

Excellent location with view. Awesome pool with nice lanai and screened dining area.Large garden area with lots of different fruit. Tony the gardener was very kind and helpful. Debbie was wonderful dealing with our reservation and questions. All the family enjoyed the comfort of this home and highly recommend. Will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay

Property was exactly as described. Host Deborah was quick to address any concerns or questions and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend and rent again.

The fruit!

We had a fantastic time at this house. Everything we could have wanted... and more! The garden was our favorite part and we were even given a tour by the gardener, Tony. Thank you for letting us stay in this wonderful house!

Vacation in paradise!

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens) rented this marvelous house for 25 days in June-July 2019. What to say more than the previous comments! The house is exactly as shown on the pictures, clean, close to many awesome beaches and stores. Pool was definitely a plus especially with the kids. Spectacular sunsets, amazing view of the ocean, always a breeze coming in the house from all the windows and patio doors. Debbie was quick to answer all of our questions. Kitchen is well stocked: we ate at home every night. Even had a crock pot which was great because I would start something in the morning and it would be ready upon our return from the beach or excursions! Tony the gardener kept picking fresh mangos as they were in season, avocados, oranges and we were lucky enough to even have bananas! We created many family memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We would/will definitely come back to this house anytime! Thank you Debbie, Terry, Tony and the young man taking care of the pool!

Pictures don’t do it justice!

Unbelievable property! The grounds and lanai are the best part of this house. We spent most of our time outside. The house is comfy and SO well stocked! Better than my own kitchen! The garage full of beach supplies was so handy! We loved our time and are sad to leave.
