WEEKLY RENTAL - This property has the ability to be rented weekly (7 night minimum stay) all year long. Shipyard Condominiums are located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located 1/4 mile from one of the best beaches on the island. The Shipyard units are single level condominiums which have private courtyards on the first level or balconies on the second level. All properties are outfitted with washer/dryer, pots & pans, towels, linens, have central air conditioning, WIFI, off street parking and pool access.

The property was great

Our stay was awesome the customer service at check in was terrible. The grounds were nicely kept and the unit was clean and was perfect for 2. It even had beach chairs to use

Great Location

the location is great for key west. under a half mile walk to anywhere was our joke for the week. Never heard any noise from Duval, but a simple and fast walk to the bars! Also, an easy walk to the Taylor State park which was awesome. Check in was confusing, however the detailed directions saved the day! I would stay here again when I come back to Key West

Good Choice for our stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed out two week stay in the Sand Crab Cabana. The apartment was well located, clean, and comfortable. We had a couple of issues in the condo that were quickly resolved by the management. Many of the properties in this large complex attract long term residents. Easy to walk to attractions and restaurants around Key West.

It was clean. The unit could use some updating. The king size bed kept the bedroom door from closing. Only had 1 tiny 3 drawer dresser. Not quite big enough for 2 people staying for a week.

Reviewer Comments: While I love the location, this property lacks a Keurig, tub or shower with a seat, decent mattress, smoothly working faucet, bathroom shelving for toiletries and an awning for the blazing hot balcony.

Nice quiet place

Place was very nice, only complaint was the shower was luke warm to cool. I went to the office and asked them to have someone look at it. I don't know if anyone did, we didn't see anyone but we were out most of the time, either way it never got any warmer.

Quiet, Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Key West

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Shipyard! It’s a beautiful, well-maintained property, and this was not our first time staying in the area. Sand Crab was perfect for my husband and I for the week.The balcony overlooks Truman Annex Park, and the location was ideal. We were close to Fort Zachary Taylor Beach and within walking distance of the nightly sunset at Truman Park. Duval Street was also an easy walk, but the condo is far enough away that the area stays quiet and peaceful.The kitchen could use some updating, but it was adequate for our stay since we didn’t do much cooking or eating in the unit. One of our favorite features was the chilled pool—it was absolutely perfect during the July heat!We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was not as clean as expected. The floors were very dirty and when I pulled out a pan to cook, there was still food in it. I felt I had to wash the dishes before using them. The kitchen faucet was rusted and hard to use. The unit did have good air-conditioning which was great in the Florida summer.

Thanksgiving week

Great location. Needs updated furniture. Sticky cabinets, old tired and broken outdoor furniture. One very thin blanket for 2 beds. I wouldn't dare use the big, upholstered comforter from 1970..... Yuck. We know it was thanksgiving week but multiple messages we left went unanswered. No one could retrieve and return one call. It is the hospitality industry!

Thank you for sharing a review of your recent experience Christine. Thank you for being our guest! The family room furniture was just replaced this month along with the outdoor furniture! While the office is closed we always are available for emergencies that arise.

Wouldn't stay again

Furniture was in poor condition,Had to repair toilet several times,my wife tripped on loose metel strip on top of stairs,Had to clean unit floors, Crumbs and trash in fold out bed, pictures are available upon request,For the price we paid it was awful, also Management would not allow more than 1 car in complex and was not helpful in finding parking for guest,

Needs some updating

We did have the following issues:-doorknob entering the unit is very loose. Unable to tighten-the bedroom had only 1 small dresser (no more than 30" wide-bedroom door does not close due to the large bed in a small room. Unit is not good for more than 2 people-need shelving in the bathroom. No where to put your necessary items-no lights on the deck-deck chairs need to be replace. Wicker is broken on many of them-blades on the ceiling fans need to be cleaned. Covered with dust.
