We enjoyed our 4th weekend! Beautiful home, owners were extremely helpful on places to eat and things to do. Loved sitting on the screened porch overlooking the lake. Extremely relaxing!! We will be back!

Great stay!

Wonderful spot with walk up to lakefront & beautiful rock bluffs. Lovely big screened in porch with lake views, chairs & table. Also nice outdoor fire pit area. Would stay again.

Labor Day Weekend

This has been one of the best VRBO rentals we’ve stayed at. The owners were fantastic - very responsive to every message! Spacious and updated house with a beautiful view of the lake! Very clean! Loved the screened in back porch and just relaxing.

Fun week at the lake

We had so much fun sitting on the porch. That porch was great for card playing eating and watching the hardest rain we ever saw! Marina has everything you need and the house was great.

Memorial Day 2020

Awesome home! The pictures do not do it justice. Plenty of room for 3 families. Great location. Had everything we needed and the homeowners were great!!!

Off the beaten path

This home is on a private road and we could not believe how quiet it was even on the weekend! Kids used the two canoes every day. Only issue had was that there were many thorn bushes in the water and it was tough fishing from the shore. Enjoyed the house and it’s well stocked with utensils and even has satellite internet!

We had the best Labor Day weekend here! Plenty of space for the 11 of us. The home was clean and quiet. We were a bit secluded which we loved. This home is right on the water. We brought kayaks and used one that was there as well and went to the cliffs nearby to jump. The screened in porch was perfect for us to enjoy time together and still be outside without the bugs. Be sure to bring citronella candles tho! The mosquito still find a way in otherwise. We took advantage of the fire pit outside and foosball inside! The photos really don't do this place justice. There were a few minor hiccups but the hosts quick response and attention to detail was top notch! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay! Plenty of parking too! The ONLY thing I would say is to make sure you have an AWD or 4 wheel drive vehicle to get down to the house. No issues for us, but that turn into the driveway can be a doozy especially in the dark! Overall, Melody and Steve have an amazing place and we're the BEST hosts! We had such a a good time that I completely forgot to take photos all weekend!

Perfect upscale hideaway!

What a beautiful hidden treasure! Our family of six had plenty of space in this lovely home. The kids truly enjoyed taking over the entire downstairs with their own bedrooms and bathroom. They had a foosball table, TV, games, and their own mini-kitchen and card table while adults enjoyed our quiet area upstairs. The screened in porch was perfect both in the mornings for quiet coffee or at night listening to the sounds of nature. The entire home is beautifully decorated and very well stocked. It was so nice to enjoy a newly renovated home with all of the modern touches in the middle of such a serene landscape. Marina, restaurants, groceries, and gas are just a short drive and very convenient. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity borrow your home.

Absolutely perfect

First of all, Melody and Steve are the nicest people you ever hope to meet. From time of booking until the day we left, they were in contact with us to make sure everything was perfect......and it was. House was immaculately clean. Furnishings are top of the line. Amazing artwork adorns the home. Superior mattresses and linens found in every room . Top quality cookware and gas grill made meals easy. Everything you want at your own home. Obvious attention to detail made it sooooo comfortable. Screened porch great for evening meals, games or just watching the sunset. Plenty of space for all 10 adults. Location on lake is wonderful, like having your own private lake in your back yard. Short boat ride to cliffs and/or Sugarloaf. We brought our boat and jet skis that we stored at marina only 5 minutes from house, convenient for daily outings on the lake. There was plenty of parking space for all our vehicles. The lake is beautiful, the house is amazing, and we cannot wait to visit again! Thanks Melody and Steve for helping make our Greer's Ferry vacation absolutely perfect.

Old house, poor maintenance, zero cell signal, poor wifi, dangerous entrance, limited parking, NEXT.

The location is nice, but the entrance is DANGEROUS. You cannot access rental without 4x4 pick up truck. And forget bringing a boat down to the house. The house is in need of serious maintenance. The AC failed on the first night. Several lightbulbs missing, we were blamed for a broken toilet that was broken when we arrived. You cannot access the Internet through the the Wi-Fi or cell service from this location. Planning is very difficult. We left the place cleaner than we found it yet KAREN is up charging for a broken light fixture. Personally inspected everything upon departure, so be prepared for the pushy, yelling, insensitive landlord to make her maintenance issues your problem. I would pass on this one yall. Your gonna get stuck on that driveway. I warned you.

We are sorry you did not like our property but the parking was discussed and you had a place to park your boat. Thanks for paying for the gouges in the wall and to paint after repairs. We still have not been able to find globe for fan. Also I have never been talked to in the manner you cussed me. Good luck

Do not book this place! (Because I want it all to myself!!!!! )

I can't express enough how wonderful our little vacation was this past weekend. And this home on the lake was a HUGE part of that. I booked this place a little last minute as usual as a surprise to my siblings & our kids. When we all arrived Friday afternoon, we were all amazed at the spectacular condition and beautiful decor. This was more than just a guesthouse, it was a HOME for the weekend. Jetted tubs, linen closets in all the bedroom areas, furnishings totally set up to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. It was wonderful having almost my whole family in one home and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The lake was absolutely fabulous. We brought kayaks and the kids (and adults) spent a ton of time exploring the cliffs and scenery all around our area. All I had hoped for was a relaxing weekend watching my family laugh and enjoy themselves and it turned out even more than dreamed of. The owners, from the first day I spoke to them, practically felt like family. They were so helpful and it was very obvious they cared a lot about their home and the guests that rent it. You will love them!!! Warning tho: You will never ever want to leave this house. While drinking my coffee on the deck all I could think about was when I could go back down to stay again. There was something about that property, I felt no stress, forgot about my job, and somehow just automatically became unplugged from everything except for my family and the fun we were having at the moment. I needed this!!!

Great location, Beautiful Place, Gorgeous Lake!

We stayed for 3 wonderful nights at this beautifully decorated, very comfortable place. The beds were comfortable...pillowtops...very nice, new matresses....as a matter of fact, everything in the house, including the house, felt new. When we arrived, Melody rode up to the house to make sure we had everything we needed....great hostess. The place had Direct TV and fast internet service. It was winthin a few miles of Lacey's Marina, where we rented an awesome Pontoon Boat (150 HP Honda OB)for Sat and Sun that actually had a waterslide attached. If you bring your own boat, you can anchor in back of the house. The dining room chairs were very comfortable...we sat and chatted with our friends for several hours, all three nights, without getting a sore back...nice! There were 2 zones of AC so that both levels were controlled on there own level. Great place. You go there to get away from it all and we certainly did. Thank you for the 6 bottles of Italian Red wine you left for us....just kidding folks, we brought that....but they did have a wine bottle opener and mason jars work suprisingly well for wine glasses :) Great time had by both of our families and, as this is our 2nd year doing this, we have started a Labor Day Weekend tradition to meet up with each other....thanks for creating a wonderful home for us to share with our dear friends. Note: there is a spiral staircase, so you need to keep an eye on little ones (under 3) that are mobile...my 3 yr old son was fine navigating them. Overall, this was just a very peaceful, beautiful place.

Great getaway by the water

Very relaxing stay with family for a few days. There were 12 of us and I’d say it would be more suited to 10 or less but would definitely stay again. Very clean and comfortable. Communication with host couldn’t have been better. Melody is great!

There’s a good chance this place will work for you. There are some maintenance issues, but may be par for the course on this lake. It’s a good size for six people, but maybe not eight or 10.

Quiet retrieve on a beautiful lake

Nicely updated and well maintained home. Perfect size for our family/group. Location off the gravel road was a little challenging to find at night. Host was excellent in communication and timely responses. Thank you for allowing us to stay there.

Wonderful Property

This property exceeded our expectations! Great kitchen—spacious bedrooms and a beautiful screened porch to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. There were kayaks for our use which the family loved. We made sweet memories and hope to go back!

Lake House

Awesome week's stay with the family (2 couples, 5 kids from 11-15). There's a great little cliff jumping spot just minutes away and the Marina is really close as well. The horseshoe pit could use a little work, but overall the Property was great, clean, and as advertised
