This is a beautiful home that is extremely well maintained and exceptionally well stocked. It was a perfect spot for our family of five adults. The owner is easy to contact and responds immediately to any questions or inquiries. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals and this was definitely one of our favorites. We’d love to return someday.

We highly recommend this home if you are in the Grass Valley area. It is beautifully restored, is clean, nicely furnished, is within easy walking distance to the downtown, and was stocked with everything we could need for our stay. The 3 bedrooms are a good size with very comfortable beds. There is a large deck for outside seating. The host was great to work with too. We would definitely stay there again.

This house is easy to get to and easy to access the fun parts of Grass Valley. House is great, clean, and comfortable. This is our second time staying at this house and we will book it again when we return to Grass Valley.

Very Cute and very comfortable!!

The house is so great!! The kitchen and bathrooms are very updated and have everything you need. Easy to park and Close to downtown. Easy and fast communication. I highly recommend! We will be back!

The home has everything need and is so close to town. Debbie is a great host. We even ordered a pizza that accidentally went to her house and she brought it to us.

Great accommodation

We definitely recommend this place for anyone needing a home base for visiting the area. We were in town to attend an event at the fairgrounds and Debbie's place was nearby. It is also close to town and short driving distance to several state parks. The house itself is tastefully furnished and has everything you need for cooking, lounging indoors or on the private patio or enjoying family/friends time around the dining room table. Coffee and snack options were a pleasant surprise and much enjoyed as well :) Thanks Debbie - hope to return some day.

Amazing Weekend!

Debbie's place was used for a girls weekend get away. I am not a big user of rental properties but this home has certainly changed my opinion. From the minute we opened the door until we closed it for the last time we were pleased. It is as spotless as it looks online. The rooms were all put together and decorated how we all wish we would do ourselves. The beds were very comfortable as well. We happened to have a rainy weekend so we were in the home quite a bit which worked out perfectly since it was so comfortable to be in. Thanks again Debbie for an amazing weekend!

Grass Valley Charm

We have stayed at this house 4 times and we love it , the walk to town is wonderfully and the location is close by the fairgrounds and Mining Museum , Grass Valley has lots to offer for mini vacations or weekend get away , this house is comfortable clean and very well maintained , Debbie is responsive to questions and gets back to you promptly , Safeway and Raley's Supermarkets are close by , lots of options for dinning as well , I highly recommend this beautiful home for a couples retreat or a family stay FIVE STAR PLUS

Perfect Family Christmas

I grew up in Grass Valley and was looking for a house that would be close to town and to local family members. This property was perfect for our Christmas getaway with our adult children. The house is beautiful and clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen is updated and very well appointed for holiday cooking. The house is perfectly located - walking distance to downtown GV and to a pleasant walking trail. Debbie was helpful and responsive. An unexpected surprise was that the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with a large and lovely Christmas tree. We had a fabulous stay! Thank you, Debbie - you thought of everything!

Holiday Stay

This property was absolutely beautiful! It was so clean it felt like we were the first people to every stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. My whole family loved how warm and welcoming this home was and it was decorated beautifully for the Christmas Season! Would love to stay here every year!

Lovely and updated historic house

The pictures on the listing do not do this property justice. The house is beautiful! We loved all the historic decorations, old time photos and old fashioned (but upscale) furniture. It definitely had some interesting artwork too. The patio was gorgeous with plenty of seating. We rented this property for a music festival at the fairgrounds. While the walk wasn’t super safe as far as car traffic goes, it was easily walkable. We would definitely love to come back next year during the festival. Thank you for sharing your property and some GV history with us!

Great house. Central location.

Our stay was wonderful. The directions left by property manager for check in and out were clear and direct. There was a high chair available and set up for our toddler. We had to rent a crib but this was easy to manage. The set up (bedrooms) were great. Only thing I would like would be blockout drapes/ shades in the bedrooms. It was quite light as soon as the sun came up. Also no salt, pepper or Pam in the kitchen which shouldn’t be that challenging to store and would have been a nice amenity to the kitchen. Otherwise amazing property. Walking distance to many restaurants. Very easy to navigate. Would ultimately stay here again.

Grass Valley Charm

We have stayed at this home before and rebooked it because of it's welcoming home feel and closeness to a good walk to town , this will be our home away for many trips to come , FYI Grass Valley is an wonderful small town with a newly renovated performing arts center that has amazing acts come through (Center for The Arts) , there is a lovely walking trail two blocks from the house as well that is adjacent to the Mining Museum . Thank you Debbie for having a home away from home for us .

We didn’t want to leave

The house is beautiful The property is beautiful We especially enjoyed hanging out on the outdoor patio. If I’m welcome back I will definitely rent this place again. The only thing missing is some lap or throw blankets to use when it’s a bit chilly outside. Either that or a fire pit.

This home was built in 1851 and was an original boarding house in Grass Valley. Over the years it evolved to a bordello and then into a multi-unit home. My husband and I purchased the property because it was a great opportunity for us to own a piece of Grass Valley history. We wanted to restore the home so that we could have an amazing place for people to stay when visiting the area.
