The house was amazing! Great views and very clean. However, the amount of times the owners text before my stay was over whelming. If you love information over load about the house you will be staying in, then this shouldn't bother you. For me, it became very frustrating to receive text books, not messages all throughout the day. Even before 7 am on Saturday morning.

Lake Rollins Gem!

We absolutely loved this vacation home. The million dollar view spoke for itself, overlooking the lake. Clean, comfortable, and had every amenity needed to host Thanksgiving for our family. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone staying in the Nevada City/Grass Valley.area!

Beautiful View of Rollins Lake

What a view! Each morning was glorious waking up to such a beautiful view of Rollins Lake. Such a great location nestled in a lovely woodsy area about 15-20 minutes from old town Grass Valley. We enjoyed our stay - the house was well appointed and clean and comfortable. We’ll be back!

Best Vacation rental we’ve seen!

This house and the owner are both great. We stayed a few days and everything was what the pictures show or better! Great views! Very quiet. Well built house! We can’t wait to return for a longer trip!!! Owners are great!

Much Needed Family Vacation

The property was perfect for us. The views of the lake, the stars and the wildlife were enjoyed by all of us. We were able to walk down to the lake each day and enjoy our own semi-private beach. The care and detail put into the property for the enjoyment of the guests was very much appreciated. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Most amazing views, relaxing patios & deck, and fun swimming in the cove on the beach

We had the best time here! The views out the huge windows were amazing. There are 2 patios upstairs & a large deck with plenty of seating downstairs. We had the beach cove all to ourselves with shade most of the day. The owners were great with communicating everything with us. We can't wait to go back :)

This was an amazing split level property. The views were awesome, and just a small walk down to the lake. My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay and will be back. the owner was responsive and answered any questions I had. Truly amazing!

Relaxing friends getaway

We absolutely loved the spaciousness of the house for a group of friends. The view of the lake and trees was beautiful. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen for cooking meals. The beds were comfy and the house was really clean! We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and being near Nevada city. It was such a lovely stay, we didn’t want to leave. The host was very helpful, communicative, and provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house with an amazing lake view

The house is even more beautiful in person! It is a newer build and it was such a treat to stay somewhere so modern. They had every amenity we could think of - well-stocked kitchen, toiletries, games, books, lawn games, etc. The walk to the lake was a little bit of a trek with younger kids/kayaks/gear but a nice cove is accessible. Dennis was a pleasure to work with before and during our trip.

So much better than photos show!

The only reason I gave one star less in accuracy is because the photos don’t do the house and location justice! It was an extremely nice home with lots of space and beautiful views. The trails for walking around the lake were so relaxing with the sounds of the birds. Easy access to Grass Valley and Nevada City. Treasure of a winery that Dennis recommended. Would stay again happily.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Rollins Lake Retreat, and I can't express how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Dennis communicated all the necessary details promptly and even provided us with fantastic recommendations on local dining options and activities to enjoy during our stay.The property itself was just perfect for our getaway. The breathtaking views of the lake were absolutely mesmerizing, making it a truly picturesque setting for relaxation. The house was clean and well-stocked with all the amenities we could possibly need, which made our stay even more enjoyable.One delightful surprise was the thoughtful gesture of finding a bottle of wine and some snacks awaiting us upon our arrival. It was a lovely touch that added to the welcoming atmosphere. Furthermore, the kitchen was equipped with everything necessary for preparing meals, which was a significant advantage for us. We appreciated the abundance of kitchen supplies that allowed us to whip up our favorite dishes seamlessly.For families traveling with children, I can't emphasize enough how great it was to find a selection of toys available for the kids. It was a big bonus that kept our little ones entertained and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.

A beautiful slice of heaven

We had a girls trip with 6 of us and had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we walked up to the property we were impressed! A beautiful place inside and out! The owners made us feel at home and welcome. A big thing for me personally because I had back surgery is having a comfortable bed and it was!!! We are definitely planning on returning! Laurie

The best hosts ever

We were so excited about staying at this beautiful property. We have stayed at a number of Vbro properties as a family and have had various experiences with hosts. I must say that the hosts were absolutely awesome. We were so well prepared for our stay, with very detailed and helpful information in advance--above and beyond what I have experienced in the past. Communication and supports were excellent. We will be back!!

Best Equipped Place EVER

This house is ideal for three couples - easy to relax into! The kitchen and bathrooms are very well equipped and supplied with good quality products. Beautiful views over the lake and a peaceful yard surrounded by flowers and shade trees complete the package. We were there for 4 nights and hosted family members who live locally for two dinners and there was enough tableware for all and space to sit in various smaller groups. Perfect.

Beautiful home with a spectacular view.

This home exceeded our expectations. It is a very attractive, well-constructed new building that is clean and very well maintained, with comfortable seating, and great views from both floors. Outside seating areas and nice landscaping make for pleasant spots to visit and enjoy the view. The owner was very responsive and provided explicit instructions/info, which I like. The location is ideal - 10 minutes from Grass Valley but it feels like a long way away with the serene scenery. A great house!

Fantastic Family Fun!!!

We took our three kids (11, 9, 6) for 3 nights and it was perfection. The home is absolutely stunning and very modern. The walk to the lake was only about 4 minutes so it was easy to take all the toys and chairs and cooler down in a few short trips. The lake water temp was ideal and allowed us to spend whole days hanging out there. Dennis made everything super easy to understand about the home and was very accommodating. My kids are asking when we'll be going back :)

This was the most prestean place we have experienced, in the past 5 years of coming up to Rollins Lake! The Owners are definitely the nicest, kindest, most professional people we've ever met! They took pride in this beautiful place & for us to be able to enjoy there home, is a blessing beyond our means. You will not be disappointed, Dennis is on point, responds immediately & is a wonderful person to communicate with. Thank you very much, we're looking forward to seeing you next year 2020🙏

Gorgeous home, incredibly helpful and gracious host

This property well exceeded our expectations, it is a really beautiful home with high quality furnishings and the most comfortable beds. The hosts thought of every detail to make sure we had a relaxing and comfortable stay and to also make us feel safe with their extensive COVID precautions. We followed all of Dennis and Linda’s recommendations and loved them all from the mining museum to the ice cream shop. Most days we spent at the beach, which is a little cove a few minutes walk from the property. We had the place all to ourselves and enjoyed splashing around, fishing, and kayaking. We highly recommend this property. We look forward to visiting again.

Beautifully designed retreat

Our family spent Thanksgiving at this lovely home. The views are gorgeous and the walking/hiking trails are easily accessible. We enjoyed the early morning quiet out on the master suite deck. It is a well-stocked home, as we decided to cook all our meals, and found adequate spices and condiments available. If your party has older kids or teens, the first floor area provides its own “living space” with bedrooms, bath, and main living area with a TV. This makes it nice for the adults to enjoy alone time upstairs with friends or family; nice, large TV there also. This home was more than we expected and will surely visit again!
