Welcome to The Waterfall Cabin, a rustic-yet-modern 2-bedroom, 2-bath retreat tucked away in the sought-after Sky Harbor community. Perfectly positioned between Pigeon Forge (2.5 miles) and Gatlinburg (5 miles), this cabin offers both privacy and convenience. With a waterfall cascading behind the cabin and another flowing directly beneath it, you’ll experience a one-of-a-kind mountain escape surrounded by nature.

Everything was lovely except for the hot tub. We did not use it because it smelt like mold and the water was yellowish in it BUT the private waterfall made up for it!

The driveway is difficult if you have any issues with walking as you have to park below the house and walk up uneven concrete and we arrived in the evening so extremely dark the motion detector on the tree did not work due to overgrown trees blocking it. The outside decks, furniture and hot tub were not cleaned and the house as we entered we walked into cobwebs. The house was tastefully decorated however had a terrible musty odor. A few areas of the kitchen floor when stepped on felt as if the floor was rotting underneath the pergo flooring. When we awoke the next day we noticed an area on the kitchen sky light that had black mold and mushrooms growing in the corner of it. The master shower had hardly enough water pressure to rinse your shampoo out of your hair! We called management to address these issues they sent someone to scrub the patio furniture and they emptied the hot tub which was dirty. However, after they consulted upper management and I being a nurse felt it was unhealthy to stay and it was advised that we be moved to another cabin due to the issue with black mold/mushrooms growing on the inside of the cabin. VRBO was excellent about getting us into another cabin immediately which we we’re grateful for. We rented this property because of the beautiful waterfall and envisioned enjoying morning coffee outside on the deck but unfortunately we’re never able to enjoy that instead we spent the first two days of vacation on the phone with VRBO and repacking and moving.

Thank you for being a valued customer. This beautiful and unique property is exactly as it is presented in the property description and in the photos. This cabin has a waterfall that flows directly under the cabin, and drops off to another level. Therefore, there is a possibility of a musty or damp scent due to the constant flow of water. Apparently, after several days of rain, a small area of mold had formed in one corner of the skylight. Upon receiving your request for a service call…the team responded quickly to rectify the situation. We were happy to make sure you were taken care of as quickly as possible. Therefore, this property has been thoroughly treated and reinspected. We were dismayed that this occurred during your stay, and were happy to strive to make the rest of your visit as pleasant as possible.

Great location, Great waterfall environment

The waterfall cabin is located between both big towns and has a great waterfall right at your deck. The hot tub right next to the waterfall is a perfect relaxing night time spot. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Nice cabin

Me and my two kids stayed here for 3 nights. The waterfall was running well and provided beautiful scenery and sound as we lounged around the cabin. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. We never saw another person the whole stay, so very private. Highly recommended.

Amazing view of your own personal waterfall!

Absolutely beautiful view! The cabin is built into the side of a mountain with a waterfall running through it! Every room had a view of the waterfall and there were wrap around porches for viewing as well. The cabin itself was very clean and well decorated. Great, unique place to stay!

Waterfall Cabin

This was our send time staying at the waterfall cabin and we absolutely love staying at this cabin. It's peaceful and quiet. Falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall is rexlaing.

Beautiful views, relaxing. Cabin was clean and had everything to cook and grill. Bathrooms could use some TLC but everything worked. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was hot! Wonderful stay!

Perfect Location

Sitting on the porch listening to the waterfall was so relaxing and calming. A couple little things that could have made it a difference (in our opinion) would be tv’s in the bedrooms, mirror(s) other than just the bathrooms and a larger tv in the living room. First of all you need to be aware it is not just a hill and you don’t just need four-wheel-drive. The way the house is sitting on that hill and the parking which is across from the house is extremely hard if you’re elderly or handicap there is no way you’re gonna get your luggage up that hill into that house second of all which I see a lot on these reviews are check-in information was wrong and of course first of all, they never even bothered to send it I had to request it. There’s no signal on top of the hill so we had to go back down wait 45 minutes. Had to call them again and it was just a real mess getting in only finally did we discovered the back bedroom was completely useless. No air gets to that bedroom and there is no water pressure in the shower so you might as well just say one bedroom. I’m pretty sure that the housekeeping needs to be fired at this point because it was a mess and we did call and tell them our issues and I do have pictures to pack everything up. They brought out one memory foam mattress for one of the beds because no matter what you like these beds are rocks and they like to say they’re brand new. That’s a load of crap. I understand that outside elements do things, but none of the chairs outside were cleaned, and the deck was not Cleaned and I also understand that it’s on water, but the smell in the house was disgusting. The floors were disgusting and we did leave early. There’s not enough space to tell you how disappointed I was and no one cared.

This unique and beautiful property consistently maintains glowing reviews and high rankings. This team is dismayed with your negative review, but we are happy to respond. Upon receiving a notice from the answering service, our staff responded quickly to assist you gaining entrance to the property. During a conversation with a member of your group …it was shared that the code provided was being entered incorrectly …as there are two numbers on each button, it was being pushed twice. During the rest of your visit, records show that there were no further problems entering the unit. The property is as displayed in the photos and description. Guests often pull up to the walkway to load and unload. We hate that unloading was a challenge for your group. After receiving your comments regarding the mattress not being to your satisfaction…our team made special efforts to accommodate you with a memory foam mattress pad, had it installed, and the bed remade. We wanted you to have a restful night. Our records show that we have not received previous negative comments regarding the mattresses, as this is a matter of personal preference. The extensive decks are blown off and power washed on a regular basis. The lush tree canopy does make this a challenge. You did not request a service call for the cleaning staff. Our cleaning team did provide time stamped and dated photos of the clean prior to your arrival, which is our required procedure. AC and water pressure are fully operational.

Waterfall Cabin

Nice quiet area. Overall cabin was great with enough room for everyone. Inside was clean but could use a bit of spring cleaning. We enjoyed the outside decks while relaxing and playing bags. Good location if you are looking for a place in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Thank you for leaving a review! We are sorry to hear about the cleanliness of the cabin, we will contact the cleaners and let them know of your concerns. Cabins are deep cleaned every year right after the new year and before spring break. It is hard to get in and set aside time during the remaining part of the year with the availability for any additional deep cleaning. If you have issues we recommend to contact your hosts to see if they are able to help you with your concerns. We hope to host you again in the future!
