We have a nicely appointed 2 bedroom apartment located above a detached garage. You'll have a carport to park under (sorry the garage is unavailable), a furnished deck, two queen size beds, a complete kitchen, washer/dryer. The view from the living room window is of an oak forest that feels like a park. Located close to freeway, grocery store, and restaurants. There are amazing wineries for tasting and many rafting companies for adventures on the American river. We're happy to allow a dog, but our property is not fenced so keep in mind you'll need to plan to keep your dog with you.

Hot!!!!

The apartment is beautiful in appearance. The owner is very accomodating. There are a few inconsistencies that are worth noting. It is a 2 bedroom apartment as listed. The double bed bedroom has a window and some ventilation. The queen bed bedroom does not have any ventilation, ie, no windows or outside access. Unfortunately, the daytime temperature was very hot and this unit is above a garage. The air conditioner was not adequate for the conditions and not one of the 4 adults renting the apartment slept...

Everything you’d need and more for a Gold Country stay

We needed to stay in the Placerville area near family for a month. Robin’s apartment worked so great for us. It is very stylish which puts you in a great mood. It has absolutely everything you need for cooking, showering, sleeping, laundry and relaxing. The TV and Internet are great and the couch is so comfortable for watching. It can even come with three sociable dogs and a loving cat if you happen to be animal people. They joined us on the beautiful deck every morning for ball toss. If you’re not an animal person they will leave you alone! Robin and Davin were very responsive to anything that we needed. Even though they are on property they are very respectful of the renters privacy. They are great landlords. It is a secluded property but a quick eight minute drive to the freeway to get you anywhere you need to be. Thank you Robin and Davin for a great stay.

We had a great experience staying here! The hosts were helpful, responsive and attentive. The rental was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. We had everything we needed. It was decorated with an artistic flair. The neighborhood area was serene and beautiful! We highly recommend this apartment!

We loved staying here! Robin and family are so sweet and helpful! Our dog loved playing with theirs. It is a quiet area and there is a great walking trail on the property that we loved! I highly recommend this property to everyone!

Wonderful, great hosts, nice detached apartment

I am here for work for a 3 - 6 month gig. I'm working in Roseville and I wanted a place where my husband could come stay with me and bring my dogs. This place is perfect. It's a detached apartment above the garage. It's very clean and has all the amenities you need to be comfortable and cook. The 5 acre lot is good for the dogs to run around. My husband is retired and is able to go on great hikes and loves the area My dogs love it, they get to play with Robin's dogs everyday. I'm so thankful to Robin and her husband, they are great. I really appreciate being able to rent month to month with home away, beats staying in a hotel.

Wonderful, peaceful, perfect place!

We stayed in this wonderful VRBO for the first week in Oct.. Our stay couldn't have been better.....two couples with our Golden Retrievers couldn't have found a more comfortable, clean place. The apartment is over the detached garage and sits on a large, wooded, beautiful property. Robin was the perfect host. She was very friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive. I would recommend this vacation rental highly!!

Beautiful rental in the hills!

Such a gorgeous rental! Driving to get here is one of the best parts. It is set off in the hills of Placerville. Once you get to the driveway and see the place, you know it will be a great stay. Such a great property with sweet animals such as dogs, cats, and even baby lambs. The hosts are such lovely people! They greet you when you get there. They provide snacks and amenities throughout the entire rental. It makes it feel as if you never left home. The 2 rooms have 1 queen and 1 full bed. We had 4 adults and our baby in his pack n play. It was so roomy and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen is fully stocked and even has spices for cooking. The entire place is decorated so beautifully! It is just a 5 min drive from downtown Placerville. My family and I will definitely be staying here again. I highly recommend a stay here!

The rental was our 9-year-old's favorite part of vacation.

My 9-year-old daughter enjoyed the rental and the property better than our spring break day trips. She loved the two lambs, and was over the mood when Robin asked her to help feed them. She also enjoyed the rope swing, the two cats and Marley the dog. Robin and Davin were wonderful hosts. Robin was attentive while also giving us all the space we needed to enjoy just our family of three--plus our dog who was warmly welcomed. Robin had cinnamon rolls, half-and-half and coffee set out for us, so we didn't have to go to the store the evening we arrived. She showed us her measures to prevent blocking the A/C air intake because one renter awhile ago had blocked it--that they had a hot visit still bugs her and she wanted to make sure we didn't have that problem. The rental is nicely appointed, and was comfortable for us to enjoy when it was hot and sunny, and when it was damp and rainy. We preferred to come home early, cook in the expansive kitchen, read books and work on puzzles--it was that nice of a place. Our deposit was refunded the next day. She mailed us two forgotten items. We could not have been happier with the unit, the property, the mini petting zoo and the owners. This was a fantastic stay for us.

Peaceful and welcoming

Robin is incredibly hospitable and a gracious host. We arrived and were met by her sweet lamb who ran up to the car! Her property is beautiful, nestled back in the gently rolling hills, conveniently located near many fantastic wineries and a 15 minute drive to downtown Placerville. Robin thinks of the small things to ensure her guests enjoy their visit: cinnamon buns for the morning, coffee with fresh cream in the fridge, bottled water, and all the amenities you could need. The apartment was impeccably clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed our morning breakfast sitting on the patio listening to the birds and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend!

perfectly peaceful getaway

Robin has the perfect balance of gracious host, while allowing for privacy. She greeted us personally and had provided all the essentials needed for our quick weekend trip; not only was there coffee and creamer but also local treats and snacks that we took full advantage of! The place is furnished just as seen in the pictures. But the pictures cannot convey the coziness of the tastefully decorated space, which is much roomier than it appears. We did not experience any problems. We would highly recommend it to others. We would not, even for a second, consider a hotel, knowing that a place like this can be had instead. Thank You to Robin and her family for making this available and for doing it so well.

An impeccable property

This is the second time we've stayed, and we will stay again. It's comfortable and tastefully decorated. Robin is a great hostess giving us the perfect balance of attention and privacy. It's obvious that there is a great deal of thought that goes into creating an enjoyable experience.

Great Tahoe home base!

We stayed at Robin's guesthouse for two days and it was the perfect hub for our Tahoe fun. Very conveniently located near HWY 50 in Placerville, her place provided a warm homey feel. Our kids and dog loved the place and Robin and her family made us feel very welcome. She was very accommodating and even provided us some snacks and OJ and half and half for morning breakfast. Highly recommend it.

Holiday getaway

We loved it here! The house was perfect for our family of four plus dog. Beautiful deck to enjoy coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings. Robin was a wonderful host with so many extra goodies around the house. The house is very clean and decorated perfectly. The house has many books to choose from and cozy reading nook. I highly recommend this rental for your next stay!

A Getaway With All the Comforts of Home

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in Robin & Davin’s adorable little getaway two weekends ago. Located on their property, over the garage, their guest house looks even better in person than it does in the photos. It is charming, well appointed, comfortable and inviting. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Robin (and too briefly by her golden retriever, Marley) with a box of cinnamon buns from Sweetie Pie’s and given a tour of the space. Literally everything you might need in a vacation house is here. Do you have a little bit of a sweet tooth? There are candy dishes in a few locations throughout the house. Maybe you prefer salty snacks? Dig in to the enormous bowl of pistachios on the coffee table. Did you forget your toothbrush? There’s a brand new one (with new toothpaste) in the medicine cabinet. Beyond those little, considerate touches, what I liked best about their place is that it didn’t feel like a rental. The thought and care that they put into the décor sets it apart from other rentals, which can sometimes feel as if it’s been furnished with the owner’s old belongings. But everything in Robin & Davin’s space is new and seems specially selected for this house. And I say house because, despite its location above the garage, the space is huge and doesn’t feel at all cramped. Likewise, the outdoor deck is quite spacious and we spent the late evening sitting outside, sipping wine, and doing some stargazing. It was quite a welcome change of pace for two city dwellers. Though our time at Robin & Davin’s rental was far too brief, the place left such an impression on us that we just might head back to Placerville specifically to stay in this lovely home the next time we need a little bit of a break.

beautiful apartment

Robin and Daven's apartment is beautiful. It's quite large, modern and well stocked with any kitchen equipment you may desire. The host and hostess were available at any time and were helpful when needed. The home is in an area with other homes with lots of areage so you don't here anyone and see very few. Shopping is within easy access.

Peaceful retreat close enough to sierra at tahoe

The place is very clean and well furnished. It has all the amenities you would need to cook and prepare food for the little one. The owners are very nice and accommodating. They provided us complimentary pastries (they were very good), orange juice and creamer in the fridge. My son ended up drinking the juice over our stay after a game of basket ball with Quinn. My son had a great time playing with Quinn (i hope this is the right spelling) who sounded like a fun, well-grounded boy. Their deck is very nice. The place is very peaceful and just the right place to get refreshed from the hustle of city life and close enough for my boys to be able to go to sierra for snowboarding. I love the reading nook. They have a good set of books and cookbooks and nice set of cacti and sundial at the foot of the stairs that complete the look of the place.
