Perfect little house

Great place just past Placerville in Smith Flat. House stays cool even during hot days. Kitchen is well equipped and whole house is spotless. the bed is adjustable and mattress is nice and firm. the hosts were quickly responsive to the couple of issues we had. we would definitely stay again!

Apt in a wonderful old home

We very much enjoyed our stay in Placerville - location was perfect - the apt was very spacious - the bed very comfortable - a full kitchen . We didn't know about the staircase ahead of time, but it proved to not be a problem as our son helped us with our luggage.

Charming, great location, clean.. pefect!

Came to Placerville from the Bay Area to visit a friend. The room truly is a suite, but not your average, stuffy hotel chain suite for sure! I stayed in the Iris suite and it was just perfect. The bed was comfy, the property quiet, and conveniently located to downtown Placerville. The suite/apartment has an adorable little kitchen, a huge closet with another futon bed, wi-fi, excellent television viewing options and a huge, sunny bathroom! Owners were kind and accommodating, and the nightly rate was extremely reasonable, particularly when you consider what you're getting.

Beautiful Apartment in great central location!

What a great spot! We were there for a girls wine weekend and it was perfect! The apartment is beautifully decorated and centrally located to downtown Placerville, Apple Hill, and many wineries. The bedding could not have been more comfortable, we slept in both days as we did not want to leave our cozy accommodations. One of the reviews I read indicated it was small and studio like. We felt it was much more comfortable that a studio. It has a very spacious kitchen and addition to the main room there is a large bonus room with a desk and futon which was also very comfortable. The bonus room provided a great place for clothes, etc. I could have stayed for several days and been very comfortable. I would highly recommend the Coloma Srings Suites and we are already planning on going back!!

Remarkable Value! Clean, delightfully decorated in the Craftsman style. Central location and responsive staff. Staying in the Iris rooms might be enough reason for us to visit Placerville again.

Although we live @ 24 miles away, we had an evening engagement and decided to spend a few days in Placerville. Our Iris Room/Studio was a delight. Every attention to detail was executed. The artistic decor was just up my alley as an artist myself. We are walkers, so it was conveniently located using the pedestrian bridge over Hwy 50. We learned a whole new Placerville we never knew!I would most definitely recommend this place.

Most Comfortable Bed!

I had the best night's sleep in this perfectly appointed apartment. Very clean, assigned parking spot, convenient downtown location and great service from the host and booking manager. My partner and I stayed here with our 5 year old while visiting Placerville for one night for a wedding.

Best 1st experience...

We decided last minute that we needed a weekend away. Found this VRBO, and everything after that could not have been easier. Wendy, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was cozy and quaint. This will not be our last visit. Thank you for making our 1st VRBO a fabulous experience.

Placerville Perfection

I am originally from Placerville and was looking for a place to rent for my boyfriend's mother over Christmas. She is 70 years old and we thought she'd like her own place to stay and escape from the craziness of my family at night (lots of wine & loud board games). The Iris suite worked out perfectly for her. It was cozy and decorated in an eclectic, yet classy, style. There was even a surprisingly large kitchen. The reservation and check in process (a series of access codes to get in) could not have gone smoother. Thank you Wendy & crew for making this the perfect Placerville introduction for her.

Can't wait to go back to Coloma Springs!

Coloma Spring Suites is located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of Placerville. It was built over a hundred years ago, and has been renovated with new modern fixtures and beautiful decorations, inside and out. In our suite, the bed was comfortable and scrupulously clean. The furniture was gorgeous; several pieces were constructed with beautiful antique wood from an old barn, including the electric fireplace. Much of the furniture was arts and crafts style. The kitchen was fully equipped. Even the handy information booklet, with info on the large screen TV, wifi password, how to turn on the gas fireplace, phone numbers for any questions, and other useful information, was flawlessly done. We were there to celebrate our first year of marriage, and it was perfect for us. Quiet, romantic, lovely. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was the kind of place we felt we could live in forever.

Placerville's Best!!!!

This review has been way too long in coming, sorry to Wendy the wonderful owner! I am a VRBO owner so am familiar with how important treating your guests is...Wendy is amazing. She was so available at any time, so accommodating, incredibly friendly ( we actually had some great talks and shared suggestions with each other!), she checked on us to make sure we were comfortable, asked if we needed anything! Her apartment is spotless, the linens were so soft, the beds, well you just didn't want to get out of them! Bathroom was "spic and span" clean, even left us a few toiletries:) Honestly found not one thing I would change here or add... Please, rent this apartment if you are looking for 5+ star accommodations...you will be so over the top happy! I scored on my choice of the Iris Suite, hubby and daughter give me a high five...those are hard to get in my family!!!
