Shipyard Condominiums are located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located 1 mile from one of the best beaches on the island, Smathers Beach. The Shipyard units are single level condominiums which have private courtyards on the first level or balconies on the second level.
Please note: This property will require a minimum of a 28 night stay.

This time by myself w/ a few girlfriends stopping in. Its a great location for easy walks to most places you want to visit.Had a great two weeks. The staff was very helpful for a few minor isses.

Great location in Key west Truman annex

Property was perfect for me and my spouse. Second bedroom was two twin beds that would be okay for children. Bathroom had two sinks which was nice. Well stocked kitchen. We spent most of our time exploring the area and the condo was in a great convenient area. Only small downside was dealing with the keys, would rather have had a keypad. But not that big of an issue, just my preference as key was a little finicky.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriend and I stayed in About Time in Key West and Loved it!! The location was perfect as we rented bikes and it had a bike rack close by. We could walk to the nightlife right on Duval St or ride our bikes anywhere we chose to during the day. The property was clean and well maintained, located on the end with a cute little patio out the back. There were plenty of towels to use for the pool or beach and for the shower as well. We would definitely consider staying her again.

It was "about time" we had a good vacation

We met lots of nice people at the pool. It was hot, so we were in the pool a lot and enjoyed it immensely.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent visit and have stayed in this condo several times over 10 years. The location is nice - very quiet, lots of light and near all the local activity. It has some new furniture, but for the most part everything has been there for quite some time and appears tired. This includes the rugs and bedding. The televisions are quite old and the reception was horrible. The maintenance staff (Danny) is very helpful. I would probably rate the stay a 5 star if the condo furnishings were updated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the large, shady deck at this condo. It is comfortably furnished, has a roomy bathroom with 2 sinks, and was impeccably clean. We actually have this same condo reserved in Feb ‘22, and might bring some kind of white noise machine as this condo is right on the bus route. Street noise can interfere with a good nights sleep.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in at least 10 different units in the Truman annex, many times booking with Compass. Compass is a 1st rate company. Here comes the but! This unit I cannot recommend. The layout is good but the furniture and the finishes needs a major update. I hope the owner takes theses comments to heart and makes this place a great choice for up coming clients.

Good Value but needs some maintenance

Reviewer Comments: Location is great, easy walk to Duval St.Unit needed some general repairs, shower nozzle leaks, sink drain corroded, dishwasher door is iffy. Towels were worn, upholstery could have used a cleaning.Big problem was that the keys provided didn't open the unit when we first arrived. Door lock is very finicky and was hard to open even after practice.Property management 24-hour emergency phone number went unanswered. Not cool when you can't get into the unit because the keys don't work.

Delightful Time in Key West

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really loved our time in the condo at the Shipyard. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for a Key West vacation. There was a little confusion about the check-in and getting the right combination in order to lock up when we left, but we straightened that out. My only real complaint is that we weren't allowed to use our allotted parking space because of our wooden kayak on top of the car. If the kayak were an eyesore or if it protruded out beyond the parking space the rule would make more sense, but it is a beautiful, handmade kayak contained on top of the car, and people who see it admire it and ask about it. As a result, we had to scout around for a parking place in some of the sketchier areas of town and hope that car and boat would be okay. That's the only reason I'm rating it a 4 instead of 5 - the condo itself was great.

3 weeks in Paradise

This trip was no exception. This unit is very clean & comfortable. The only issue is street noise, which can be considerable, from busses, trucks, motorcycles, etc.

Great Location and Property Manager

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the property to attend the Key West Songwriters Festival and the location was great! If you are planning to use the pool, it's a little bit of a walk especially if you have young children with you. The propety is adequately furnished, but honestly, we didn't spend much time there. Our only negative comment is that the outdoor electric grill didn't work very well. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Patio is great with morning sun, evening shade. We wish we could have been able ot use backyard gate onto Angela St. Our 4 star ratings below simply reflect above average. Nothing wrong, but nothing that was spectacular. We would rent again.I think our biggest and happiest surprise was the property manager. Checkin, checkout and everything in betwwen went smoothly and as expected. We had a couple of requests to the manager while we were they and they were very helpful.

It was located on a busy street corner though so traffic was a problem for noise. The kitchen was set up well for cooking meals. There were plenty of kitchenware and cookware. Overall it was a great place to stay if you want to be on the go.
