The home To Stay In the Jordaan - Centre Amsterdam


Rosies Place specially designed for people who want to have a nice holiday break in Amsterdam. It’s located on the first floor of our house, accessible by a steep staircase. Rosie’s is luxurious, warm and specious and you will have complete privacy.

Our home is situated in the Jordaan, which is right in the city center of Amsterdam, within the so-called canal ring, tucked away in a small quiet street. Around the corner you will find restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, markets and lot’s more. Also the museums are close by. Even closer is the Anne Frank House.

Rosie’s is more than suitable for 2/3 adults or 2 adults with 2 small children. It has a king size bed and a sofa which we can convert into a single bed or double bed. You have a dining bar, which sit 2/3 adults and a design rocking chair. Candles for a romantic touch are everywhere in Rosies Place.

We provide for free lots of coffee (Nespresso machine), tea from Mr Jones, sugar, coffee milk, Dutch cookies and a nice bottle of wine.

The bathroom has a big rain and hand shower. Towels, soap and shampoo (from Rituals) are provided for you. If you need clean towels just drop them outside in the washing bin and you will have clean ones immediately.

The terrace has SUN ! What else can we say. Sun in the morning for your coffee, sun during your lunch, sun in the afternoon drinking your beer or wine. But it’s Holland so keep your fingers crossed that the sun will shine :-)

Your bed is already made up and bathroom linen, soap and shampoo (from Rituals) is provided for. Of course you have free WiFi in Rosies Place.

The only thing we ask of you is that you respect our simple house rules: please don’t do drugs in or around our home. Smoking of normal cigarettes can be done on the balcony not inside and last but not least no partying.

Excellent, comfortable second floor apartment in a great residential location in the beautiful Jordaan District. Small, but efficiently laid out unit with a comfortable double bed and everything you might need including electric range, cookware and dishware. Hosts Rick and Astrid could not have been nicer and helpful. Caveat: as is the case throughout the Jordaan's quaint narrow rowhomes the stairs to get to the apartment are long and steep. However Rick was more than happy to be of assistance with luggage, and Astrid was extremely responsive when we had questions. The unit was easy walking distance from one of the main tram lines, a grocery store, and several cafes, bars and restaurants. We would stay again.

My husband and I loved Rosie's apartments. We spent a week in this lovely place and enjoyed every minute of it. Astrid and Rick are the best hosts we ever had. We arrived earlier and they let us drop off the luggage in the kitchen so we can have a nice stroll upon arrival. They even took our suitcases upstairs. The studio is very clean and staffed with everything you need for eating in. They even left us a bottle of the wine in the fridge and coffee pods for the machine. In the mornings we could enjoy the coffee on the large balcony. They were always available to answer any questions we had and helped us with the taxi back to airport. Perfect location on the quiet residential street in the Amsterdam center. Walking distance to the museums, train station and other attractions. Easy check in and check out. Thank you, Astrid and Rick.

The absolute best!

What a gem! I almost don't want to leave a review because I want to selfishly keep it as less known as possible. But Astrid and Rick deserve all the praise for their awesome hideaway in Amsterdam. From the get-go with communication to the incredible kindness upon arrival, I have zero complaints. We stayed at Rosie's Place for 4 nights celebrating my bff's 50th birthday. The steeply staired 2nd floor apt was perfect for the 2 of us with each of us having our own sleeping areas. It was clean, organized, and downright cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is ideal and we found ourselves wanting to stay close and enjoy all the restaurants and shops nearby.With no hesitation, I'd return in a heartbeat. Thanks for your gracious hosting, Astrid!

Astrid was very happy to help with suggestions when we asked and the property is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Rick was kind enough to carry luggage up the steep stairs to the apparent and Astrid was gracious and carried them down.

Rosie’s place is perfect

Rosie’s Place is an outstanding place to stay in Amsterdam. The location is superb- an easy walk to cafes, restaurants, parks. The sunny terrace is a great place to unwind after a long day or walking and sightseeing. Astrid and Rick are awesome hosts who made everything easy from us from the moment we booked to the time we checked out. We could not have chosen a better place to stay.

Perfect in every way!

We stayed for a week. It was the perfect place, roomy for 2 adults, clean, comfortable and great location. The street is quiet but close to restaurants, cafe’s, attractions and more. Astrid and Rick are great hosts and very helpful. We looking forward to visiting again and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a great week!

An unforgettable stay in Amsterdam

We had an amazing experience staying at Rick and Astrid’s apartment—it was even better than advertised! The space was beautifully maintained, and they truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Rick and Astrid were incredibly helpful, even assisting us with our luggage upon arrival.The location was perfect—situated in a fantastic area with easy walking access to major points of interest. It made exploring Amsterdam a breeze. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a more delightful place to stay. Highly recommended!

Wonderful, quiet location and gracious hosts!

We were originally scheduled to stay at Rosie's Place in Dec. 2020, but COVID cancelled everyone's travel plans. Fast forward four years and we finally made it! Astrid and Rick are excellent hosts, providing everything you could possibly want or need. They helped us arrange airport transport on our return and were available if we had any questions, but they were NEVER intrusive. We arrived Dec. 11 to find a small, fresh Christmas tree, wreath, a bottle of wine and candles in the apartment-such a festive touch, that made the apartment even more cozy at night, after a LONG day of sightseeing. The apartment was well stocked, warm and had a comfy bed. We would not hesitate to stay here again:-)

Great location!

We had such a great time at Rosie’s place. The location was fantastic and close to great restaurants, sites and transportation. Very cozy and comfortable, close to the food market too.

Exceeded expectations

Astrid is a wonderfully friendly, communicative host. Check in was simple. Directions to the apartment using public transportation made it easy. The apartment is roomy, clean and light with everything we needed in kitchen and bath. We even used the terrace on a clear winter evening I highly recommend this place in a wonderful neighborhood with restaurants and transport conveniently nearby.

Picturesque location

Rosie's Place was the perfect spot for us and we wished that we had more than 3 days. It is in a very safe, walkable area with many restaurants and also close to the tram. Astrid could not have been a better host and was always available for questions or recommendations. Highly recommend this apartment when in Amsterdam!!

The Apartment Was Lovely and As Described

We enjoyed our stay. Astrid met us at the door, showed us around the apartment and even carried our heavy bags up the stairs :-). The apartment is located in a quite area and walking distance to many restaurants, shops and places to see. It had everything we needed. Thanks again for being such great hosts.

Lovely apartment with excellent location

We had an excellent stay at Astrid and Rick's lovely and well thought-out apartment. From the moment we booked and throughout our time in Amsterdam, they were exceptionally responsive to all our questions and requests - flexibly facilitating our check-in and arranging our taxi to the airport. The apartment itself is tastefully decorated, very comfortable, with plenty of closet space to store our luggage and hang up our clothes. We walked to all the sites we wanted to visit including only an 8-minute walk to the Anne Frank House and 20 minutes to the Van Gogh Museum. We look forward to returning to Amsterdam and will certainly try to stay at this excellent apartmemnt again!

Wonderful stay

Ideal apartment for our short break, being able to sit out on the balcony was a big bonus. Communication with Astrid before we arrived, and during our stay, was excellent, she was always there with helpful advice. Jordaan is an ideal area to stay in, it has a really good selection of shops, restaurants and bars, with a nice atmosphere on an evening. However the centre of town isn't too far away, easy walking distance or, if you are not a walker, by tram from the end of the road. Thank you Astrid and family for a wonderful short stay in your apartment, we will definitely stay with you again if we visit Amsterdam in the future. J and J

Cozy and great location

This property is a real gem. The owners are super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We easily walked everywhere as the location was very close to major attractions, but 2 blocks away from busy streets.

My VRBO was outstanding! Such cool host. Astrid & Rick made me feel right at home. When I return to Amsterdam I have to stay with Astrid & Rick in Rosie’s place. The neighborhood was so clean and well maintained. I love Amsterdam! Thanks again guys.

Simply THE BEST

There aren't enough words of praise for this wonderful apartment. It is just about perfect. Every detail has been well thought out - from the contemporary decor and furnishings to the kitchen and bathroom accoutrements. The neighborhood is terrific with beautiful canals, great places to eat, a tram stop just a short walk away, and the Anne Frank House nearby. It was the best holiday rental I've ever been in. I've told all my friends about it and hope to be back one day soon.

Restful Haven

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Rosie’s Place. Astrid and Rick are gracious and attentive hosts. After a long day of site seeing, Rosie’s Place was a restful haven at the end of the day. We especially enjoyed sitting on the terrace and listening to the birds sing in the evening. We felt more like locals than tourists. I HIGHLY recommend this property.

Fabulous location and host

My husband and I visited Amsterdam for the first time and Astrid was very helpful answering our questions. The property was immaculate and location was amazing. It was just short walk to some great little cafes and bars. The bed was super comfortable and while we never sat in the living area is was great to be able to spread out out luggage and travel gear.

Hi, We are Astrid (53) and Rick (52), we have two sons, Joris (22) and Jesse (15). Rick is born and raised in Amsterdam and I moved 35 years ago to Amsterdam. Before we settled down we have travelled the world and stayed also at other people houses. We like to think that by staying with locals you’ll see a different city. Of course we will help you to explore the city and if we have the time we will show you around.

It was our dream that one day a small piece of Amsterdam would be ours. Once back in Amsterdam we decided to chase our dream. 25 years ago we bought our town house, which was build in 1897 and stood the test of time really well.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Located in the best part of Amsterdam, called the Jordaan. Our street is really quiet but around the corner you will see the most picturesque street with all little restaurants, bars and shops with in the background the Wester Church. For us one of the reasons to buy the house.
