If you forget your toys or beach wear a large beach store is right across the street. Short walk and you are at 'The Track' a young & young at heart entertainment park. As you know good food , golf ,fishing, jet skis/boat rentals for gulf or bay and shopping abound in Destin.

Destin Commons is a 10 minute drive to the east with great shopping, and the Rave Theater with a great Bass Pro store. For food or your other needs there is a Walmart or Fresh Market and many other specialty stores within proximity. Be sure to take a drive along old 98 east and see the beaches.

Silver Sands, a large factory outlet mall, is located within a few miles. In addition, the brand new Destin Commons outdoor shopping mall is at the corner of the Mid Bay Bridge and Highway 98. Destin Commons has a huge movie theater complex, Hard Rock Cafe, Bass Pro Fishing shop, Johnnie Rockets, and all the mall shops you have come to know and love in a beautiful outdoor setting (don’t forget your sun block!).

Before Destin was a vacation and tourist spot, it was a fishing town. If you are interested in doing some fishing while in Destin, Fort Walton Beach has just built a new fishing pier, and deep sea fishing is right up the street!

If you like road trips, take a drive down 30-A to Seaside, Rosemary Beach, and see everything in between for some spectacular sightseeing. Also located eight miles east on the bay side of the Sandestin Resort is the newly erected Baytowne Wharf area. Here you will find more shopping and great restaurants overlooking the Choctowatchee Bay. For the kids, Baytowne Wharf offers bungee jumping, dune buggies, go carts, and a water park right across the street, or drive a couple miles east on Highway 98 and you’ll find a great amusement park.
