Perfect Escape Beach Bungalow w/ private pool and hot tub. 5 min walk to beach.

This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach bungalow just three short blocks to the beach. Enjoy a completely equipped spacious kitchen with a large quartz island and open floor plan. A sliding glass door opens from the kitchen to an entertaining backyard with hot tub, pool, slide, waterfall, BBQ, fire pit and fireplace. Spend time with family and friends relaxing in the pool or hot tub, soaking up the rays and barbecuing. There is a warm shower on the outside to rinse off after a nice day at the beach. Play boccie ball or croquet out front, drink a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the water. Our home sleeps 6-10 people. Three bedrooms offer queen beds. and additional sleeping for two with twin beds. The main bathroom has a full shower/tub and 2nd bath offers a full shower. Open the doors and feel the cool ocean breeze after a full day at the beach or one of our local attractions.
Southern California has a lot to offer including LEGOLAND, Wild Animal Park, Del Mar Race Track, La Jolla Playhouse, Sea World, Old Town, Gas Lamp District, Petco Park, San Diego Zoo, and the Balboa Park Museums, casinos and wine country. Pool is not heated.

A Relaxing Get Away

This property has the feel of a warm embrace. The host’s touches to make us feel welcome did just that and for me,a first time VRBO user, put me at ease. She was also promptly responsive to our inquiries. Will stay again if the opportunity arises. Proximity to public transport is excellent. Easily a 10 minute walk to the beach,

Great House, Fun Backyard!

Our family stayed in July 2024. House was wonderful, well maintained and furnished. The backyard was a big hit--especially for my grandchildren ages 8 and 6. Host was very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Great family home

We really enjoyed this home. It was very comfortable and well equipped. They even supply everything you need for the beach and the welcome basket was such a nice touch. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The pool and spa was great and well maintained.

Perfect for families! Awesome pool and outdoor space!

Tracie is a WONDERFUL host and she made sure we had everything we needed! Her home is perfect for entertaining and vacationing. There was enough room for everyone and we enjoyed the pool and nights by the fire! House is very clean and well-maintained. Terrific kitchen and living area and many outdoor spaces to enjoy! Convenient to many places - Oceanside beaches/pier, La Jolla, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Crystal Creek State Park all within a one hour drive! Thanks Tracie!

Awesome rental for families!

We needed a place in close proximity to our family's house in Oceanside and we hit the jackpot with this house. We have a 4 and 7 year old and there was always something to do at the house. They absolutely loved the pool -- it was such a nice way to wind down after a day at the beach. Their cousins came over for the day and all the kids had such a blast playing with the toys, jumping on the trampoline, watching movies....while the adults could sit around the fire pit or fireplace. The house is more stocked than your average rental...it has everything you need and more. Tracie was in contact during our stay to see if there was anything we needed, but we were well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Family Fun!!!

From the moment we booked until we returned home we had nothing but an amazing experience with Tracie and her home. We arrived late after flight problems and found the house easily. Once inside we felt instantly at home. The house was exactly as it appears in the pictures: clean, fully stocked, great location, and like home. We took several day trips and found the area to be easy to navigate and quick drives to several attractions. Our only regret is that we didn't stay for a few more days. We overbooked ourselves on the trip and found that our best days were the ones that we spent at the house and hanging out at the beach. We stayed with a party of 7: kids ranging from 3-17 and three generations......everyone of us loved the house and were entertained. We highly recommend this property for families!

Beautiful Home in a Great Location

I originally booked a different property in April that was located in Vista from August 13-19th. Unfortunately, the Host of the Vista property cancelled our reservation on August 8th because the Sheriffs were called on August 7th and they shut him down... I immediately searched for another property around Oceanside that had a pool, would allow 5 adults, 2 dogs, and our 16 month old grandson. Luckily I found this property -- Tracie was the most responsive and amazing Host we've ever had. She even left a very basket full of treats, and a nice note which was unexpected. The house was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. There were even pool toys, bicycles and boogie boards available for guests to use. The pool, yard and hot tub were beautifully maintained and the perfect temperature. My family and dogs loved every minute of our stay. The house is within walking distance of the beach, several restaurants and a bicycle path. Thanks again Tracie, for letting us stay in your wonderful home!

Great family get away!

We had a great time at Tracie's house! It was a perfect location for a week long family vacation! We have four children ages 2, 5, 8 and 10. Our children loved the pool and beach toys. Tracie was very accommodating to our request of a pack & play and life jackets. The property was very close to the beach as you can see on map quest, but we chose to drive to the beach as we brought all the fun beach toys Tracie provides (chairs, wagon, sand toys, boogie boards, umbrella, beach towels, etc). Our youngest daughter still naps so having the pool was wonderful for the older children to play in while she napped. The house is close to San Diego and all it has to offer but it was wonderful to be away from traffic and noise of the city. The backyard provides a quiet relaxing atmosphere to have a glass of wine with the wood fire place and gas fire place. We wondered how the train would be as you can see the property is close to train tracks. Our children loved watching the train go by and even got out of the pool when they heard it coming so they could watch it go by! We were very happy with our choice to stay at this property and would love to return for another stay! Thank you Tracie!

Great place!

This house was fantastic to stay at. It had more than enough room for the entire family. There were 10 of us plus a dog. (6 adults and 4 children. The house literally felt like home. It had everything you would need to be comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with spices and appliances over and above. Tracie even asked if there was anything special I would need to cook thanksgiving dinner. She would make sure to get it for me, which she did. Bathrooms were also well stocked with more than enough towels, soaps etc. Detergent and softener were provided for the washing machine and dryer. The house is a couple blocks from the beach easy to walk to so need to get in the car. There were a couple of boogie boards at the house and a surf shop close by if you needed to get suits or rent more boards. There also were a couple of bikes that we were able to use to get around. When we weren't outside in the backyard or at the beach, the boys played video games(fully stocked with games). The pool didn't get much use since the weather was cool the week we were there but 2 children did brave the water and jumped in and out. The property and house was clean and orderly. You could tell that the owner took pride in this house. Talking to Tracie felt like I had known her forever. She made you feel so comfortable. She even put up a happy birthday sign cause I had told her we were going to Cali to celebrate my sons birthday. Several of us went to the San Diego zoo which is close by and several of us went to Los Angeles about an hour and a half away. We were all so impressed with our experience at Tracies house and it was sad to leave. However, we are all looking forward to going back again this year!

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

Tracie was amazing from start to finish and went above and beyond in giving us a warm welcome with a great treat basket with something for everyone. Her house is full to the brim with anything you’d need. We had 4 babies / toddlers and there were plenty of beach toys, pool floats, and amenities in the kitchen for them already there! This house is a one stop shop for families in the sense you don’t really need to leave because it has everything you’d want! We thought it was even better in person than the pics. Our stay was ‘cooler’ than some weeks (highs around 72) but even then the pool temp was perfect and never too cold to go swimming. The toddlers were obsessed with the slide and she even had 3 infant life vests there for us to use. We used the wagon a ton for our day trips and ate so many oranges and lemons from the property that were delicious! Although we couldn’t ‘walk’ to the beach with our littles, it’s super close and the beach and playground were perfect for our kiddos. So many close restaurants and coffee shops and like a 5 min drive to super cute downtown Carslbad as well. It really has it all. I don’t see how there is any way you could be disappointed in any aspect of this home/ location. It’s truly a gem!

Great Place with safe and secure yard for dog.

It was great place to stay. We had some hesitation for train track near by, but no bells or whistles from train at night and sound is muffled by track in trench (only cargo train in the middle of the day was noticeable). Backyard was great with spa and saltwater pool. Slide on pool is steeper than typical, but my kid (6 y.o.) had blast. Great WiFi service and speed also. Buccaneer Park is close walking distance with great spot for dogs or kids to use those unlimited energy. We will definitely consider this place again for next time we are in this area.

Wonderful property in Oceanside

We had a wonderful time at this property. The home was very clean and the hosts are incredibly responsive and accommodating. There were a few things I wish I had paid closer attention to when booking- specifically, the pool is not heated and the water is rather cold. Unfortunately, our kids didn't use the magnificent water slide outside just because we were there on a 70-degree week, so the water never warmed up enough. The other point to note is that the house does not have A/C. Again, we were there on a cooler week, so it didn't matter as much to us- but it's just something to note. Regardless of those two items, I would highly recommend this property to any larger families. The backyard landscape and set-up is unlike any other you will find in the San Diego area. The rooms are clean, well kept, and spacious. There is plenty of supplies to host perfect gatherings of all sizes. The beaches (and LegoLand) are very close by (drivable for sandy beaches) so it made it for a really nice stay for us.

Would stay there again

Our host was wonderful. Super responsive and timely in getting back to us. All the children loved the pool, obviously, but it was easy stroll or van ride to the beach north of the pier. Only small thing that I would like to see if we returned was updated kitchen ware and appliances. Not a show stopper though. We made it work!

Book this place! It's paradise. Seriously

The pictures do not do this place justice! It is beautiful and cozy and CLEAN!!!! Everything in the home was welcoming from the moment we walked in. Host had a chalkboard welcome sign with our last name by the patio door and a couple of treats for the kids along with a welcome note. More than enough room for everyone in our party and not feel like we were climbing all over each other. 2 adults, 2 persnickety teens and 2 8year old boys were ALL oooohing and ahhhhhing over the house and the backyard. Having a PRIVATE pool with a water slide made for a refreshing arrival. While the adults got the grocery items* squared away, the kids jumped in right away which was perfect after a 6 hour car ride in the summer heat. No expense was spared with items in the home. Couch was comfortable, as were the beds. Tons of towels for bathing and separate ones for the pool. Pretty much any item you'd need for the beach is there: wagons, chairs, umbrella, sandcastle toys, cooler. The only things we needed to bring were clothes, swimsuits, and food. Property is close enough to multiple beaches without having a ton of foot traffic walking by and peering in your place like we've experienced when staying closer to the sand. We all felt right at home and didn't want to leave after our 5 nights. Tracie was the absolute best host and her property manager was also readily available at a moments notice to answer any questions we had like turning on/off the pool slide and jacuzzi settings. Can't wait to book for next summer!!! *if traveling from out of town, I highly recommend downloading Ralph's grocery store app and doing grocery pickup. I placed my order the morning we left our state and picked everything up at 5pm the evening of our arrival. Shaved off so much time wandering around a store I wasn't familiar with and I was able to get back right away and enjoy vacation.

Perfect getaway

The property was very clean and well taken care of. Everything you would need and more was provided by the property owner. Location was close enough to the beach but far enough away to not have the beach crowds impacting your vacation. The back yard was amazing.

This place rocks

This place is perfect for families and gathering. Everything is well appointed; there is nothing lacking for any cooking/grilling need. The beach is close by, but it's easy to get drawn into the pool and hot tub and forget the ocean is even nearby. We were there over Easter holiday and the owner went out of her way to decorate the house in a festive manner; even leaving an Easter beach bucket with trinkets for each of my children. Not sure how anyone could have a problem with the train -- I am a light sleeper and it was no issue at all! I would definitely rent here again if we go back to Oceanside!

Everything was awesome about this property from having everything we needed, to the attention to small details by the property owner. Pool & hot tub were great along with expansive back patio. We walked the short walk to the ocean every morning & evening. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing vacation home - pool slide, hot tob, fire pit, BBQ, close to beach

Best stocked vacation rental I have ever been to. Everything for the beach: boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, even bikes. Pool toys, very well stocked kitchen. We felt instantly at home. It was an easy walk to a great locals beach. Close to the freeway and downtown Carlsbad. Plenty of space. Great bonus room that me tween/teen loved. The backyard really felt like being at a resort. Owner is super responsive. There was an SDG&E power cut and she even offered to bring over more flashlights.

Best rental EVER

This house is wonderful. It's very clean and well maintained but not at all fussy, a comfortable and welcoming place for our family vacation. The kitchen is very well equipped. Lot's of towels and "extras" for kids/families. The pool is great. We kinda liked hearing the train. The host is truly a pleasure to work with and I hope our family will be able to go back again.

Wonderful rental for a family getaway to beach and Legoland!

This property was an awesome place for an easy getaway! We were two families that traveled to California for a quick break before school started. The rental process and communication with the property owner were super easy; she's incredibly kind and gave wonderful recommendations. She even left bubbles for our kiddos! The house itself is in a perfect location: you are a quick 10 minute drive to Legoland, a few blocks from a smaller beach (where I enjoyed taking morning walks with my early-rising toddler), and a <5 minute drive to the big, open public beaches near the Oceanside pier. Plus, you can take very easy day trips to the San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, etc. For food, a grocery store and shopping area with tons of easy restaurants (think noodles & co, chipotle, etc) is just one exit over, which was super convenient with little ones. And there was an awesome family pizza & brews spot just a couple blocks away. The house was also well stocked with everything we might need: cook wear, coffee maker, towels, boogie boards even! And we all loved the pool and slide -- which was so nice to come home to after a long day of fun but when the kids still needed to burn off some energy. The patio furniture is looking a little worse for the wear but definitely worked and offered great outdoor areas to relax in. The only downside I would mention about this place is that it is not the quietest. There are busy train tracks one street over with trains running at all hours -- but that will be the case if you stay anywhere near the beach in this area (the train tracks run along the coast for most of Southern California). After the first night we bought some earplugs for the whole family and Advil PM for the adults and we all slept soundly. Also, I think the neighbors are going through a rough patch in their relationship because we heard them loudly bickering quite a bit. Again, not a big deal and didn't effect us much, we just closed the windows in the back bedroom. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental if you are a family looking to take an easy Southern California vacation. We made really wonderful memories and would rent again!!

I purchased this house because I loved the proximity to the beach and the large piece of property that came with it. I fell in love with it when I saw how the previous owners had remodeled it and made it a cozy, updated bungalow that my children and I could call home. It has all the charm of an old home but the modern upgrades that we all love. I put a pool in the first year I was here so that we could entertain our family and friends.

I used to vacation at the beach every year and those were some of my best childhood memories. Hours at the beach with family and friends, then walking to the local restaurants and shops when we were too sunburned to be at the beach. I wanted my kids to have this opportunity with their friends and now they can do it everyday.

I fell in love with the ocean breeze and waves that you hear every night. We enjoy the friendliness of the people in South O and having my children in eyesight instead of tucked away in a room far away from me.
