Comfy, clean, modern, updated home. Large open floor plan. The living room, kitchen and family room are all open to one another creating a large space. The kitchen boasts all stainless steel appliances. The kitchen has a flat screen TV so you won't miss any of your favorite shows while cooking. The kitchen also features a bar area with 3 bar stools. Off of the kitchen is the dining and living room. The dining room table seats 6 comfortably. The living room has a modern leather sofa and chair. From the living and dining area you step down to a cozy family room. The family room has a gas fireplace for those cold nights, a large flat screen TV with Blue Ray. There is a large sectional within this room. The master bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower and tub. Guest bedroom #1 has a king bed with the bathroom off the hallway. The bathroom features a large shower. Guest bedroom#2 Granny Flat features a king bed with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a large shower and a full size washer and dryer. The home has a large backyard with 3 separate outdoor spaces. Area one has a firepit with seating, Area 2 is a large patio that has a patio table that will seat 8 comfortably and a gas barbeque, Area 3 features a nice comfortable seating area. The home is a block from the ocean and a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Ocean Beach with all of its restaurants and nightlife.

We loved spending Christmas vacation at this home with our 2 daughters and SIL and glad it was pet friendly so that our daughter could bring her husky. When we asked our host about renting an XL dog crate, Tom ordered a new one, had it all set up when we got there and even offered it to us to take home...just thought that was an extra special kindness and much appreciated! Tom was very responsive to any questions we had, recommended really great, fun and funky Ocean Beach restaurants and bars, dog parks and nearby grocery stores. Here I should mention the kitchen was equipped with just about every kind of small appliance/kitchen item you could possibly need, many spices, coffee (a must!), etc. making it easy to have some great dinners at home, too.Besides the beautiful neighborhood, a 1-minute walk to Sunset Cliffs and tons of walking, hiking and biking paths at your doorstep, we had 2 absolute favorites: the yard! was like a Zen oasis with several different sitting areas, firepits, beautiful plantings and lighting, dining area, grill and bikes. Our only regret was that it rained quite a bit this week, so we didn't get to take full advantage of everything as much as we'd hoped. Our 2nd fave was that the house had character!! so much original artwork and photograpy (Tom's and others') and how it all worked together to create a colorful, funky, part Boho/part Retro (yet with "modern" electronic gizmos!) and overall homey, laid back Ocean Beach vibe! Loved it here!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was the perfect spot for our family to spend a week together. The location is perfect, the backyard is huge and gorgeous, and Tom is an exceptional host.

The detail to the homes decor and upgrades like the tv over the tub, the sound of the fountain outside the gorgeously manicured back patio, the three access points to the outdoor patios, the lighted mirrors, the indoor speaker system, the amenities in the granny flat, including sunscreen, and many supplies available made this house our all time favorite. The vibe is happy. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that’s a nice walk to the cliffs of the ocean and around the beach area. We recommend it highly.

Absolute Dream House by the Sea

This incredible vacation home looks amazing in the listings and actually outshines itself in person! Bright and airy with exceptional art and design while still being cozy and comfy for our family of six (including a baby and a toddler) every element of the house and property are truly perfect. Great outdoor spaces to explore and rest in, including hummingbirds and butterflies, beautiful bedrooms,and so many fantastic indoor spots to gather and gab. And the location is probably the best on the planet! We enjoy many vrbo’s and this is our absolute favorite. We were visiting for our daughter’s wedding and couldn’t have imagined a better home base. Already planning our next visit. TomIs truly a super host! Everything exceeded expectations!

Ocean Beach Paradise

An absolutely beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home located in Ocean Beach! This home was a perfect backdrop for my husbands 65th birthday celebration with our adult daughter and son and their spouses. It was so lovely and comfortable that we only went out for dinner one night! The home was so perfect that decided to stay in and cook the other nights so that we could enjoy the home and the property! The house was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, spices and Keurig coffee pods! The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable ! We truly felt like we were in our own home. The host Tom, was outstanding in responding and made sure that we had everything we needed! This home is a very must see and stay! We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home!

Love love love the location and the house is really beautiful. The outdoor space is also very spacious and has multiple gathering areas. The back house is fully set up to be independent from the front house and has air conditioning. We stayed at this spot for our wedding celebration and couldn’t be happier. Plus we were able to have our two dogs, which made it even better.

Perfect for family vacation

We had a great stay at this house! House was exactly as described and location was perfect. Was very easy to get to, and it is away from the hustle of OB but close enough to walk. Two adults and our three kids fit perfectly in the house. The 3rd bedroom is detached from the main house (the granny flat) and was great for our teen to have a space to escape the family. Kitchen is well stocked and all the house instructions are very clear. We will be back to this property. Would definitely recommend!

One to remember- in a good way.

This is a rental home that we will always remember. We will look to stay with them again in the future. The house couldn’t be any cuter or better decorated. The location is literally four houses away from the ocean. Everything you could want or use is already stocked at the home. The rooms and even patio spaces allow for privacy, which is great when you’re traveling with teenagers. If you like indoor/outdoor living in beautiful weather, don’t even hesitate to rent this property.

This is a really great place. The home is well taken care of and there is plenty of space indoor and out. The backyard is an oasis where we spent a lot of our time when not out enjoying Point Loma, Mission Bay, or San Diego. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Home and Views!

Don't hesitate to stay at this home! The front and back yards are gorgeous with the plants and trees. It is so peaceful. Every morning we would have our coffee outside and enjoyed watching the birds. A few times a pair of hummingbirds would show up. This house is spotless and Tom has provided everything. This was so appreciated by us as we were visiting from NJ and couldn't bring linens, soaps, ect. All of the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The house is only steps away from Sunset Cliffs. The location is gorgeous! Every night we walked down to see the sunset. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Last, Tom is good person. He went the extra step of trying to help us find a place to stay after we found out our flight, to go home, was canceled late on the day we had checked out of his home. Again, his kindness was much appreciated. My family and I would definitely stay here again!

Parrots and sunsets

The house was perfect for our family. The layout was great and spacious And the outdoor area was amazing! We were greeted with parrots throughout the day and sunsets out the front door at night. The location to the cliffs was wonderul and to the town for coffee, restaurants, etc. We will be back!

Excellent!

I rented this home for family during their visit Thanksgiving weekend. The home has a great layout and very clean, the backyard is awesome and a prime location just one block to Sunset Cliffs. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place!

Great garden

We stayed here for a long weekend. The garden is quiet with lots of seating, shade and succulents. The kitchen has everything you need to cook.

Great house!

This house is in the perfect location - close to the beach and Sunset Cliffs - close to Ocean Beach (we rode the bikes that were provided), and close to downtown and La Jolla. Honestly, it may be the nicest all-around rental home I have stayed in, out of about 25. It's very comfortable, well-stocked, well-decorated, and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The beds are comfortable too. Great communication with the host. I highly recommend this home.

New Years 2022 in San Diego!

Loved this place. Great location. Easy access to so many activities. Was perfect for a getaway with family. Very dog friendly community which was a plus. Took our golden retreiver with is and it was fantastic! Cheers to 2022!

Great location and cool property!

Easy to get to Sunset Cliffs for the evening sunsets , as well as walking into downtown OB. Property layout was fantastic - great back yard to hang. Host was super!

Sunset cliffs vacation

Brought family out from all over the country they all fell in love with sunset cliffs such a tranquil spot i grew up in Ocean Beach and ill never get tired of it wonderful house and a very friendly neighborhood

Family Friendly

The house is nicely decorated and it is in a great location. We were able to spend a lot of time together as a family. The appliances and TVs were easy to use. However, there were a few things that were disappointing that we would discuss with the owner only. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I have lived in California since 1982. I moved to California after graduating from college. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and attended the University of Illinois. I have lived in San Diego since 1985 and have lived in the Point Loma area for most of that time.

The home is located in a very quiet area, but close to everything. I walk the cliffs every morning with my dog and frequently take my beach chair and a glass of wine out to the cliffs to watch the sunsets. You are really only about 10-15 minutes from anywhere you would want to go.
