Beautiful property. Our only issue were the mosquitoes, but that seemed to be everywhere in that area.

Very cute modestly decorated house on a quiet street. Love the house and the location, there were a few things that could have been better. The kitchen was very small and the sink had a constant drip in it and needed to be fixed. The washing machine also wasn't working properly either (the agitator inside didn't move and turn to wash the clothes, and the door where the washer and dryer was broken). We did tell the Realty company upon checkout. Was kind of weird as outside lights kept getting turned off when we didn't touch them and someone moved the trash cans on us one day. I get watching out for your property but it was just kind of creepy. And plus there was a house across the street where people kept parking on the side of the road made it hard for us to get in and out a few times. Overall we still enjoyed the house.

Great house!

The house was clean and well-decorated. Not the usual kitschy-decorated beach house. Location was great and convenient to restaurants and Food Lion. Definitely will consider this listing for a future trip to Avon.

needs small improvements

Cool house. Could be better: clean coffee pot, coffee filters, folding beach chairs, accurate info re beach access. info re operation of smart tvs/ stereo.

Nice house, but some TLC is needed

Overall this is a nice place, but there were several little things that prevent it from being a five-star. Many of them are simple fixes, making it even more disappointing. That’s just one of the negatives of renting from a rental company instead of directly from the property owner. The pros: - good size for 4 adults and 2 kids - living room and dining area is a great, spacious area - just a short walk to the beach and pretty much everything in Avon is a short walk or bike ride away - there is a nice area under the home for hanging out or letting the kids run around The cons: - floors were dirty - outside furniture, including the grill, were disgustingly dirty. When I told Vacasa they said outside furniture is not part of their cleaning routine, which doesn’t make much sense to us - screen door on the porch was broken completely defeating the benefits of a screened porch - the mattress in the upstairs bedrooms were terrible - there are two cameras on the property which we did not see in the listing. Even though we weren’t doing anything wrong, it still felt like we were being watched and we likely would not have booked if we knew they were there. I understand why the owners would want them ( I would probably install them if I owned a rental), but still not a fan as a guest.

The property inside was super clean and very nicely decorated. Lots of seating for the living room and kitchen table. The outside furniture obviously does not get cleaned, we wiped down both the upper and lower furniture. The washcloth was completely black. Mosquitoes are a nuance in the lower sitting area. For the price that we paid for 4 days, I would have expected quality products from the linens (towels, wash cloth and hand towels) the paper products were the same with one roll of toilet paper for 5 people, 4 days. Only got 2 trash bags too. The front storm door is falling apart and someone has placed masking tape to fix it. This is a hazard.Your home is absolutely beautiful and elegant and the price reflects it. The rental management should be providing quality products at the price we rented the home for. We truly enjoyed our stay, super convenient location for the beach, sound side, shops and cute little town. We would love to come back in the future.
