This recently updated cottage is the perfect beach getaway. It has the best of both worlds! Enjoy the view off the deck of the canal and Pamlico Sound, or take the short drive to the beach to enjoy more water views.
This cozy 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home is the perfect option for couples or families. New for 2017 season all beds come with new memory foam mattereses and fresh clean linens. Some of the best features of this house include a pool table, Hot tub, dock for your boat, 4 bikes for you to enjoy, fish cleaning table, screened in porch, assortment of 5 kayaks (accommodate up to 7 people), exterior shower, locked storage area, and charcoal grill. $1,000.00 worth of saving on rentals (kayaks, bikes)
Also, you cannot forget to take a stroll or bike ride around this picturesque neighborhood. There are simply amazing water views everywhere your look! Not to mention, some of the best areas for fishing, kiteboarding, and surfing are just around the corner.
Visit one of the many lighthouses in the Outer Banks, with the famous Buxton lighthouse just a couple minutes drive away. And don't forget to check out the quaint shoppes of Hatteras Village, just a little further down Route 12.
Our rental is SUNDAY TO SUNDAY. We did that because most rentals are Saturday to Saturday, which means ALOT of traffic and headaches when you are trying to get to your rental. You want to avoid the traffic and start enjoying your vacation on the ride down. You cannot do that if you are sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Plus, another little known secret is that the Saturday before your check-out is the best beach day, because everyone is leaving, and the check-ins haven't arrived yet!

This house did everything that we needed it to do! The location is perfect! We went surf fishing during our time and the house is on a canal off of the sound. We were able to net bait right at the house! Saved me a few hundred dollars. Plus, the house is very central to so many places. A few minutes to the Lighthouse areaor the "Point" world famous fishing location. Then a few minutes the other way and you're in Frisco and then Hatteras Village. All great places to fish. Then, it's close to the best restaurants in this part of Hatteras. We were sitting at the dinner table in 5-10 mins! The house suited my son and I perfectly. The 3 bedrooms were roomy, and had good quality mattresses in them. House has 2 full bathrooms which makes shower time fast. The kitchen appliances were all current and good quality. Washer and dryer is large and works fast! It's a top and bottom style, yet still full sized. The hot tub on the porch was clean and well kept. It was ready to relax in with the temp up. It overlooks the water and the at night you can see the stars. This area called Brigands Bay has a no light rule which I thought would be an issue. It's was not, having very low light pollution, you can see millions of stars. Plus, being in the middle of the ocean helps. Lastly, the owner Pete is a really great guy. He puts the renter first! The house has practically everything that you need to enjoy your stay there. He will gladly accommodate your request!

The owner and neighbors were very kind and helpful. The house was immaculate upon arrival, with all listed amenities in place and ready for us. Beautiful location. Our stay was cut extremely short due to mandatory evacuation, but travel insurance took care of that thankfully. I look forward to take two in this same house as soon as possible. Thank you.

The property has an amazing location. Peter was extremely responsive, and the house was very clean. Open layout is great. The only minor drawback is the back room runs kinda hot. Other than that, the property was perfect…plan to book next year.

Family vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay, from the hot tub, pool table, kayaks and bikes, all helped make our vacation wonderful! The house was perfect for our family of 5, with plenty of room for everyone.

One of Brigands Bay best little houses

It was a perfect size house for our family of 4. The amenities made it a great place to stay. We enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, bikes, screened in porch and hammock. Didn't get a chance to use the kayaks. Did a good bit of fishing off the dock but didn't catch much. Our stay was very relaxing and we love the Brigand's Bay community. First time using VRBO and it was easy and convenient.

Great Property

This a cozy retreat. The kids loved the pool table and hot tub. Fish and crabs were caught from the dock. We had a small issue and the owner was available immediately, and sent someone to resolve our issues in a timely manor. Would definitely recommend and definitely would stay again.

"Great Timing"

Great little place to stay on the sound side of Frisco away from all the hussle and bussle of the town. House was pretty clean, was actually surprised to see that certain necessities were provided such as- a variety of spices, a varity of dishes/pots/pans, paper towels, dish cloths, dish soap and wash towels/rags to name a few. We enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, and fishing off the deck. The house is located in a cute little neighborhood where we rode our bikes daily. Awesome little place to stay- would definitely recommend it.

Amazing stay for Xmas break

Amazing neighborhood in Frisco, the house is well located on a channel, the amenities are unique. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the night, looking at the stars in a clear sky, and had a lot of fun with the Billiards pool. The kayaks are a must, we used them to watch the sunset on the bay. Everything was perfect.

OBX vacation

Overall we love this house. It was our second time staying but I had issues with the lack of airflow in the bedrooms. As soon as the air turned off the rooms were stagnant and hot even with the overhead fan going. The air and the rest of the house was fine. I also noticed some stains on several of the bedding pieces which I know comes with the wear and tear of a rental, but that kind of grossed me out. We love that there are kayaks and bikes to use, but I’m a little undecided if we feel comfortable staying again because I did not sleep well because of the lack of airflow. Also, the checkout time was moved an hour early, 9 AM. We decided to leave, a day early so that we weren’t extremely rushed for time in the morning to clean up and pack up which is also a little disappointing that you’re paying for a whole day but only actually getting to stay for about two hours cleaning.

The best place we had stayed so far

A very clean and nice house at a perfect location. The indoor pool table is a nice bonus, when you want to hide from the sun for half a day. The kayaks are not the latest model but work perfectly. We had a great time, thanks!

Clean and comfy

Good house. Kitchen a little small if you plan to cook a lot, as we did. Needs some smaller baking pans. Great for family with kids.

This is the 10th consecutive year that weved stayed in this house. Check in is always easy and anytime that weve had an issue, Peter has responded immediately. Im looking forward to returning next year!

June Get-Away

We loved the ability to cook out and wash clothes everyday. Kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and the hot tub. Only a few minutes from the beach, (which you can drive on). Perfect location for a family get away.

Working for myself basically means working 24/7, because even when I am not at work, I am thinking about work. Even on the weekends it seems there is always something to do, whether at work, or around the house. So, I don't truly feel like I 'clock out' until I reach the Outer Banks. For me, it takes an 8-1/2 hour drive from New Jersey to Hatteras Island, where there are no distractions, in order to completely relax!

Vacationing on Hatteras Island for the last 25 years, I fall more in love with the area every year. Traveling to the Outer Banks was the experience I looked forward to most throughout the year. I would start missing the island the moment I left, every year getting more and more excited to go back. Often times I would stay at Frisco Campground for a couple of days before our rental started, because I am simply trying to sneak in a couple of extra beach days. Also, I enjoy Hatteras Island most with my friends and family. There is nothing better than a campfire at night with your best friends, laughing and joking, looking at the fire and the stars. All in all, everything about Hatteras Island truly feels like the best vacation ever. Some vacations are exhausting, Hatteras simply takes your cares away. I sincerely hope you enjoy the Outer Banks, and my home, as much as I do!
