New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

You're sure to make plenty of happy vacation memories at Cape Joy, an ideally located home that sits just five lots - a short walk - from the ocean beach. Outside, you can relax on the screened porch, prepare summer feasts on the grill, and sit down with your loved ones in the picnic area.

Inside, the great room's cathedral ceilings give Cape Joy a spacious feel. The dining area and the upper-level bedroom connect to the furnished decks with their cool ocean breezes. For additional entertainment, there are two TVs, two VCRs, a DVD player, a stereo/CD player, and high-speed WiFi for your laptop. Or, simply head upstairs to the top-level loft for a little peace and quiet.

With easy ocean access and plenty of room to spread out, Cape Joy is certain to put a smile on your face.

Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

What a lovely little house! We had a great time there. The mattresses on the beds are excellent which is something rare in a vacation house.

The best beach

Had a great stay here. Easy access to the most beautiful beach. The house is generally nice, a bit rough in some spots but priced fairly given the condition. Great location, walk or short drive to all the good spots in town. Vacasa was easy to work with.

Relaxing Getaway

The house was was a little dated but overall nice. There is supposed to be a community pool but luckily we were there out of season because we could never find it. Would stay still stay here again

Great stay!

Great property that we hope to rent again! The front screened in porch off the kitchen was fantastic and a nice spot for dinners and evening hangouts. A short walk and you are at the beach which is always a plus! Avon is a special place and this house helps you enjoy it to its fullest. P.S. we did appreciate the great book options available at the house, many little nooks and crannies filled for fellow bookworms!

Perfect for what we were looking for

The house was super clean and in a great location. Short walk to the beautiful beach. The only thing I think the house needs is some minor updates, especially in the bathrooms. But overall we would defiantly stay here again.

Great house with and awesome location!!

We loved our stay and made some amazing memories!! The house itself is pretty basic and could probably use some upgrades. But it met our needs and we had plenty of room for our family of 5. The location was the best part! Just a few minutes walk to the beach or just across the road from several restaurants, ice cream etc! Even the pier is within walking distance (about 30min walk)! Overall we loved it and have no complaints!!

Nice enough, needs updating

This property was certainly clean upon arrival and departure. However, the downstairs bathroom is sorely in need of updating and maintenance. I called the maintenance telephone line on Thursday of our stay and no one ever got back to me. Otherwise, working with Vacasa has been impressive since they purchased Outer Banks Realty. They apparently have their website and Internet in good shape except for being able to make payments on a monthly schedule prior to arrival.

Great property, location and amenities. Also thank you to the owners for the letter and gift that you sent us in the mail and the attention to the details. It lets us know you care about your renters and their needs. God Bless You. We love this place, this is our 3rd season we`ve rented this property. The owners have thought of everything and make you feel at home, The amenities are great for a couple or small family, everything you need to enjoy your vacation. A Hop and Skip to the beach, beautiful view of ocean from morning to night, and easy acess to beach or fishing pier for the avid fisherman.
