Experience the real Costa Rica …..High above the Canopy with panoramic Ocean views. Enjoy the 40 foot infinity edge pool perched above the jungle and ocean. Above all enjoy the tranquility of being one with nature yet close enough to world class beaches (15-20 minutes), Golf at Hacienda Pinilla (15 minutes), Fine Dining (20 minutes), and the nightlife of Tamarindo (30 minutes). Most of the beach roads in Costa Rica are dirt, so a SUV 4X4 is recommended.

Guests can relax while enjoying the local scenery and wildlife all from the comfort of their own private patio and pool. This includes birds, deer and of course the amazing Howler Monkeys. If you want to enjoy nature in comfort and luxury, this is the home for you.

Unwind swimming laps in the 40 foot infinity edge pool or while doing yoga in a truly amazing setting. Or just sit back and relax with a cool beverage on the patio and enjoy the view.

This luxurious home merges the new with the old. The kitchen is fully equipped with new GE profile appliances and all the amenities of home. The structure is cement with cement floors and teak ceilings. All the furniture was handcrafted by local artisans with fine quality wood of Guanacaste and teak. The resort style 40 foot swimming pool is amazing overlooking the canopy and the ocean.

This house is definitely a destination! The property manager will greet guests and take care of all their needs during their stay. There is a live-in grounds keeper on the property 24 hours a day.

Amazing view, love the spaciousness of the home. Pool was fantastic and great that it has two levels, if you have any little ones. Enjoyed the howler monkeys and lovely birds that visited the trees in the evenings, as well as the 2 iguanas. Clean, comfy beds, and working AC in all the rooms. The photos do not capture the beauty!

This was probably once a great house to stay at but could be kept up a little bit better. I think my main message in an informative review without being harsh would be to say that the listing makes it seem nicer than it is. True the views are amazing but the location is more remote than the listing implies. It takes a good 30-40 minutes from Tamarindo beach driving down dirt roads and through some impoverished neighborhoods to get to the house. One night the locals living near the roads leading to the home decided to try to stop our vehicle with a rope that was strung across the street in an attempt to maybe stop us for some reason. Luckily my wife speaks Spanish fluently and asked them sternly what was going on and they immediately dropped the rope and let us pass. A lot of the stuff is out of the control of the owner and the property manager (like the behavior of the locals, the frog living in the toilet, the ants on the couch, the spiders everywhere)…I mean, that’s not something they can control. But things like a half bathroom that smells like feces upon arrival and

The house is very nice and picturesque compared to the ones in the surrounding area. Our stay was at the end of the dry season, the hottest time of the year. That made having a full size private pool wonderful, it is filtered but shared with wild life so expect that. The house does show its age in areas, but has working ACs in each room, is nicely decorated and clean inside with beautiful furniture. We did have plumbing issues with the shared, full bathroom, it was snaked but continued needing to be plunged with every use, so we shared the master bath. The house was clean when we arrived and well stocked with ALL the essentials except food. Unfortunately the microwave was undependable and the coffee maker leaked. Again, this house is still nicer than most in the area. I say this because you are about 35/45 minutes removed from any area with a grocery store and half of that drive is hard rocky dirt road. So its perfect, as long as you realize the house is part of the vacation, because you wont go and come back to the house more than once maybe twice in a day. Also perfect for hosting a small family reunion, even if some family stays at a near by resort and day visits. The house draws a lot of wild life and insects because it is an oasis in a dry arid landscape. We didn't have any negative issues with this, it was actually nice. We enjoyed all the wild life, especially the iguanas that live on the roof and the geckos that live all through the house. Make sure to get an SUV.

Simply Paradise

This place is truly paradise!! My family and I (4 adults) stayed here for 11 nights and it was amazing. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. The property manager was easy to contact and responded quickly. Lasserio, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the daily visits from his dog, Lilu. The howling monkeys put on quite a show as well as the iguanas. This was our third stay in Costa Rica and this place was by far the best that we have ever stayed at, We love Costa Rica and can't wait to return

The house was amazing. Really enjoyed our stay. The pool was outstanding. Watching the monkeys, iguanas and birds added to our stay! Lazero and Christi were great at answering any questions we had. As were the home owners Becky and Mark. I would definitely recommend this home. It’s a HIDDEN GEM!!!

Wow just wow!!!

This place is simply amazing! The view the house the location all of it was just perfect! The dirt road to get there wasn't the best but once you get to the house it is totally worth the drive! The last day we had monkeys in the tree right by the pool, everyday we saw the iguanas it was magical. Kids loved it and one day wanted to skip the beach to stay at the house! Hope to be back one day again!

Amazing Place and As Described

The House in the Heavens is as described in the listing. It is an oasis in the jungle above the ocean. The layout, the amenities, and the pool are great. There are jungle creatures. If you aren't interested in sharing your vacation with frogs, lizards, monkeys, scorpions and the biggest damn grasshoppers I've ever seen, this is not the place for you. The road is rough (but not much rougher than most of the roads). The two local beaches are great, with a fantastic surf break (and sunset) at Playa Negra. Tamarindo is a 30-45 minute drive. You cannot walk anywhere from the casa. We didn't really need Christi or Lasero for anything, but Lasero lives on-site and is very nice and helpful. One of his dogs did bark all night a couple times. Did I mention the pool and inside/outside living space is amazing? Try to arrive in daylight, if possible. There are some great restaurants around if you look closely. We stayed at the beginning of the dry season (I think) and it probably does get pretty dried out later in the season, but was perfect for us, never used the AC. I imagine the wet season is lush and wonderful.

Great Place!

Great place. Very quiet. Pretty far from grocery stores and had to drive through a few small streams, but we enjoyed that it was remote and private. Amazing view from back patio

Amazing property with comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. We loved the pool area with the Bbq. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The property manager was always available if we had any questions, he was super helpful and friendly. We were there with our 5 year old son. This house is close to a small town with some great restaurant options, also close to playa Avellana and Tamarindo

Beautiful jungle home

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a stunning home nestled in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle, and it was an experience like no other. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the lush surroundings and the serene atmosphere that enveloped the property.The home itself is beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with its natural environment. Large windows offer breathtaking views of the vibrant jungle, allowing the sights and sounds of nature to fill the space. The decor is stylish yet inviting, with a perfect balance of modern amenities and rustic charm that makes you feel right at home.One of the highlights of my stay was the private pool. Surrounded by tropical plants and overlooking the jungle, it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.The location is truly a gem. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it offers complete privacy while still being close to various attractions. The wildlife in the area is incredible; I spotted colorful birds, howler monkeys and iguanas adding to the enchanting experience.The hosts were exceptional, providing warm hospitality and insightful recommendations in the area. The groundsmen Lucero was so helpful.Will def recommend!

Belle propriété, super bon sejour

Le bon: Superbe propriété. On se sent a l'aise dès l'arrivée. Lazaro l'homme de maison, nous attendait. Il demeure sur les lieu. Il venait faire son tour discrètement à tous les matins. Apres, on ne le voyait pas vraiment, mais apparaissait si nous avions besoin, et on a eu besoin de lui....La piscine infinie etait magnifique, le site spectaculaire tranquille et reposant. Les communications avec la manager etait efficace et rapide. La cuisine est bien équipée, les chambres sont belles et le lit est confortable. L'air climatisée fonctionne bien, nous etions très confortables.Le moins bon: la tuyauterie a fait defaut a plusieurs reprises, d'où les.nombreuses visites de Lazaro. On a juste condamné une toilette, mais a 6 adultes, c'est un peu ennuyant. C'etait propre dans l'ensemble, mais il serait temps d'un bon frottage en profondeur. Prévoyez un temps de déplacement un peu plus long, c'est un petit bout sur une route cahoteuse. La piscine etait magnifique

Spacious With Beautiful View

Great house that’s spacious and has a beautiful view. The only reason it’s not a 5 star location is because it takes about 15 minutes to get to from the main road. However, if you’re looking for a lot of privacy and wildlife, then this is great. This house met all our needs!

Monkeys, Monkeys, Monkeys!

This was our second stay at this wonderful location! This house is definitely "in the jungle", with spectacular nightly sunsets, views of the jungle canopy and the distant Pacific Ocean. You will enjoy daily flyovers from the neighboring parakeets and we were fortunate to have monkeys visit us 9 of 10 days of our stay!

Beautiful Home & Views

We stayed at this property for four nights and very much enjoyed the view and the privacy. You’re definitely going to see some wildlife but you’re in the jungle, so that’s what you should expect. The house was gorgeous and the pool was refreshing. We would definitely come back again!

Pura vida at its best!

We had an absolutely incredible time at Los Cielos. The view cannot be beat!! It was great to have all of the space, the pool, AC, and howler monkeys greeting us each day. Laserro, the caretaker is 2nd to none. He and his dog Lilu were always there when we needed something. Our contact Christie was also very responsive and answered any text quickly. This location is a fun adventure in itself! When staying here, make sure to have a 4-wheel drive. There are very bumpy roads that get worse with rain. Expect a few critters as you are in the jungle. The house iguanas were a hoot to watch and the geckos serenaded us at night. Highly recommended!!! Pura Vida!

Fantastic view

Beautiful place, amazing view, very peaceful. Great pool. Helpfull housekeeper. A little bit away from the beach, rough road to get there (the last five km). Direction to get there the first time not as easy as it seems. Some plumbing difficulty. Overall very satisfying. Very good value for the price.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Costa Rica is an amazing place. Great people, great food and great weather. Don’t be too put off by the $2 road on the way to the house. Once you make it to the top of the hill you will be greeted with a million $ view. Lazero is great and is only around when you need him to be. Being at the top of the hill provides a nice breeze to beat back that CR heat. The house was clean and besides small flying bugs from having the big door open, we never had any issues with anything big or scary. Not a single Scorpion or large spider to be found. The iguanas and birds provide a lot of entertainment for guests, but never in a bad way. Great restaurants on the beach are only 15-20mins away. Becky and Christie were a big help when our flight was delayed and they were flexible and willing to help with whatever they could. Overall a very relaxing vacation for our family. Just what the doctor ordered! You will not be disappointed making your next vacation a CR trip and staying at Mark and Becky’s gorgeous home.

Wonderful stay!

We have been coming to Costa Rica since 2006, and this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Quiet, peaceful, no mechanical noise. Just the sounds of howler monkeys, parrots, and the wind. My husband and I love to cook, and the kitchen really is a chef’s dream. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the experience. Angela and Peter
