Fisherman's Paradise on the Canal with Covered Boat Lift and Dock/ Gulf Access!

Please come and enjoy our beautiful 3 BR/2BA 1865 Sq ft home located in the quaint fishing village of Matlacha. Matlacha is located in SW Florida, just east of Pine Island. The area affords the water enthusiast endless opportunities. The town has many art galleries and unique shops, many of which have the work of local artists. There are also restaurants and bars with daily live music. The home is located just 30 minutes from Fort Myers International Airport and only a few minutes from a modern grocery store, chain restaurants and shopping.

Whether fishing, boating or kayaking, Matlacha is a paradise. Either Fort Myers or Sanibel beach can be reached by car in about 40 minutes. If you have a boat, Cayo Costa and Sanibel are about 40 minutes away. Matlacha Pass has some of the best inshore fishing in SW Florida. The home has a boat lift which is available upon request. (We presently have our own boat on the lift)

We presently live in the North but have very helpful property managers only a few doors away. Check-in time is 3 PM on day of arrival and check-out time is 10 AM on day of departure. There may be some flexibility depending on the schedule.

Loved the Place

We just loved this place. It was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities, many of which appeared to be brand new. The house didn't look like much from the outside, but was just right inside. Even the parking was nice, allowing space for as many as 3 cars to park in the circle driveway, without anyone having to move to let someone else out. It was located in a residential area, some distance from any main roads, but close enough to Pine Island Road to allow easy access to Cape Coral, Matlacha, and Pine Island. It has a nice screened porch in the back with a table and chairs where we were often able to eat our meals with a view of the canal. We had stayed in another VRBO property about a mile away from this one in 2022 and this one was as good or better. If you forced me to report something wrong with it, I would say that the WiFi was a bit iffy. Mostly it would work very well, but once in a while we would have slow or no internet connection. However, since the area had a strong 5G data signal and we had 5G phones, this was not a major concern. All in all this is a great place for a vacation.

Plenty of room

We were looking to stay for a few days in the Cape Coral- Matlacha area. This house was located in an area which provided easy access to both. The house is spacious with 3 bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area and sitting area as well as a screen room. It had everything we needed

House is quite nice. Location was great for fishing in Pine Island/Matlacha area.

Fishing trip for four friends. Access from dock to fishing was great. The house was very nicely equipped and comfortable. We even caught fish right off the doc at the rental. Several local restaurants nearby were convenient and had good food.

Very nice place

Nice place, plenty of room, other than not having a grill to grill on , but the owner had completely forgotten about it and did apologize and let us know. He was excellent in allowing the rental under a special circumstance. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely be interested in renting again! Had trouble with our boat so couldn’t fish as much as wanted.

Quiet spot, beautiful view

This place was a gem! I daydream now about still being there. Super comfortable home, awesome location, quiet, peaceful. We loved the area - close to the casual, old school vibe of Matlacha and Pine Islands. Being on the canal was added entertainment! Didn't have any issues with the entire stay. Would love to go back.

Very Nice Property

We stayed here the week after Christmas and couldn’t have asked for a better place. The property is located on a canal leading to the bay. The nice part about the location is that you have to ride past Miceli’s Restaurant on the way to the bay. The house has everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable… a very large lanai, nice dock, any appliance you could want. We spent a lot of time fishing from the dock. The neighbors were friendly too. Paul was very easy to work with. I’d definitely stay here again.

Recommend for boaters/fishing & bikers/relaxers

Lovely home with the extra accoutrements for those who fish like ice maker, lots of plastic containers, safe docking. Restaurant on water only about 8-minutes away. Bright and airy feel. Extra thanks to the nice neighbors - really made it a special vacation.

Better than advertised!!!

Great home to enjoy your stay in the Cape Coral area. Fishing literally off the back deck. You can catch all the catfish your heart desires. We caught at least 7!! Property has every single amenity one could imagine. All you need to bring is your clothes, literally. Home is very roomy and the neighbors were friendly. Catch a nice cool breeze and relax in the lanai area,...very relaxing. Host were responsive with every message sent. Will definitely look for this property again.

Excellent Fishing House

Everything went great. The house was very comfortable and had everything you would need to enjoy your fishing vacation. Bait sold near by on the water, good size boat dock and very close to everything, bait shops, beaches, shopping and excellent restaurants. Good times!

Beautiful all around

This house is even better and bigger than it looks in pictures. The screened in lanai overlooking the water is gorgeous and huge with lots of seating. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room for six people. We had an awesome time! The fishing is good and my 15 year old caught a huge catfish the first night.

Beautiful Matlacha Isles

Excellent location on a quiet street away from traffic. This property has a beautiful lenai excellent for relaxing and eating! Communication with the property owners was very responsive. House was clean and well stocked with towels and linens. It also included a washer and dryer which was very handy!! We would definitely recommend this property for anyone traveling to southwest Florida!!

Very pleased with the experience overall with only a few slight exceptions.

Beautiful property and location and very comfortable beds. Absolutely loved the screened in patio with comfortable furniture, a great place for morning coffee watching the fish jump in the canal. Pretty much included everything you need for a comfortable stay, except if you stay more than a few days, you'll need to buy all the different soaps required, toilet paper and paper towels. Several of the TVs had different issues to make them work, but eventually managed to get most of them operating. Very well kept property and everything was as pictured. Quite enjoyable and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

My wife and I purchased the home after falling in love with the area some nine years ago. We loved the low-key nature of the town and the endless fishing and boating opportunities right from your very own home. Matlacha is a place where you feel like you went back in time yet all modern amenities are only a few minutes away.

There is no need to deal with the hassles of the boat ramp. There are even multiple restaurants accessible by boat in only a few minutes. You pass by a bait shop on your way to the fishing grounds.

Enjoy the outdoor living space after your time on the water. Sit in the large lanai or around the fire pit if you want to tell camp stories. You can cook your catch on the outdoor grill while someone else prepares the salad in the well-appointed kitchen.
