In the heart of South Lake Tahoe, Carol's place is less than 2 miles to the lake and 4 miles to the casinos. The open floor plan includes a comfortable Living Room with a 46” HD TV, Wi-Fi, Internet and cable. Leather sofa and chairs offer comfortable seating before the Woodstove fireplace. The recently remodeled Kitchen has new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. You will enjoy using top of the line cookware and utensils. The cabin sleeps 5 easily. A good night’s sleep is assured in the spacious Master Bedroom with its luxurious Cal King sized mattress. The adjacent deck offers a mountain view. The Guest Bedroom also has top quality mattresses on both the bunk bed (full on bottom, twin on top) and separate twin bed. The Laundry Room, with a full-sized LG washer and dryer is in the mud room, adjacent to the kitchen. The newly remodeled bathroom has a tub, shower and new fixtures with upgraded finishes. A large backyard, gas barbecue and a propane fire-pit yours to enjoy as well. This home requires 31 days or more reservation it is no longer a short-term rental.

Winter Getaway

Stayed for a month. Great house in a great location. Heavenly is minutes up the road by car. There’s a great waking trail very near the house. Good Mexican food at the end of the street within walking distance. The house is well appointed with everything you need. Carol is a fantastic host, great communication throughout my stay. Thank you!

The Perfect Tahoe Retreat

We’ve been coming to Tahoe for several seasons, and this place has become our favorite. This time, we spent nearly a month in Carol’s cozy cabin, and it was the best experience we’ve had so far. The house is exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and Carol is an incredibly kind and attentive host.Thank you for the warm hospitality and unforgettable time. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfectly Cozy: A Warm Haven in the Ideal Location

We had a wonderful stay at Carol's Place! The location couldn't be more perfect – great restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The beach is just a short 5 to 10-minute drive away, and there are amazing trails right at your doorstep(We walked them everyday). The cabin itself is warm and welcoming. Thank you for being such an amazing host Carol. We would love to come back soon Highly recommend!

Great stay

The owner is terrific, very helpful and responsive. This property is located in a quiet neighborhood with many nice walking paths close by. All necessities and stores are within a short drive. Great place for a long stay.

Nicely Updated, Quiet Tahoe House & Yard

We really enjoy this Tahoe house! PROS: -Nice open floor plan; recently remodeled kitchen, appliances, bathroom, plumbing, electrical, windows, flooring, and a well equipped kitchen. - Large backyard with fire pit and nice seating and picnic table. - The property manager Carol was very responsive, quick to answer questions or resolve issues and went well above and beyond to help with issues beyond her control. CONS - The house is not full of natural light, but the lightning is very adequate. I highly recommend this house as a very good value and would not hesitate to return.

offered 2 days refund for trouble then only gave 1

After offering to refund 2 nights for our ongoing trouble I had to ask for the refund she promised and was told by the home owner days after checkout that she decided to only refund one night. After driving 4 hours from the Bay Area, we were minutes away from the house when we received a text from the owner. The kitchen sink was clogged and the house keeper was there with a plumber attempting to unplug the sink. We arrived and unpacked our car and settled in as the plumber continued to work. After over an hour that included loud noise from the plumbers snake and spilled drain water under the sink on to the kitchen floor and small rug near the sink and a bit of a mess that he did clean (sort of) before apologizing that his equipment was limited and that he could not clear the clog. So no kitchen sink or dishwasher for dinner dishes. We had purchased quite a lot food and expecting to be able to use the kitchen for meals. Carol apologized and offered to compensate by refunding one night promising to have another plumber out the next day. The next morning when we woke up there was a few texts from the home owner indicating that she had a plumber ready for 9am but because we didn't answer early, the appointment was lost and he would come after the job he was on. It was the first day of our vacation and we slept in until 8:30. We were disappointed and wished she had called or even just sent the plumber over at 9. We stayed near the house in hopes that we would have a kitchen sink to use for lunch or dinner and still no plumber. all of Truckee only one plumber. After some texts we were told that another plumber could come at 10:30pm and she would pay the after hours cost. Rather than risk another day we agreed. After almost an hour and a lot more noise late in the night the drain was finally cleared. The plumber said it was just a lot of grease build up. The home owner apologized again and offered a second day for our inconvenience. We were not happy but agreed, and this eased the inconvenience. We didnt want to let this ruin the rest of our time. After we returned home I checked into my charges and I still had the full stay charges. I texted the owner asking when I would receive the refunded 2 days she had offered. After a while I received a text back that she was refunding only one night because she had to pay a high cost for the plumber,not only did she renege on her offer but I wonder if I hadn't checked would I have gotten any compensation

Wonderful place to stay!

We loved our stay here! The house was so cute and comfortable. It had everything we could want or need for our stay. The rooms were nice with really comfortable beds. Don’t let the one bathroom scare you off. It’s a good sized bathroom. The location was pretty great, too. A beautiful area amongst the trees. Like most homes in the area, there is no AC, but they have ceiling fans in every room. Overall, we had a wonderful time! Thanks!

Cute house in quiet neighborhood

My friends' were celebrating their anniversary and invited us to join them. I found this little house and the price was very reasonable. Everything was clean and up to date. If you're particular about pots and pans, you have a choice of stainless steel pots and some nonstick skillets (some wear is visible). There was plenty of linens and blankets. They provide extra heaters, so if you want to put one in the bathroom to warm up before you bathe, you can. Washer and dryer were nice. Only downfalls were: 1) the master room bed, I'm not use to regular spring mattresses, and 2) the shower head was kind of odd and didn't have great water pressure. Overall, VERY nice place to stay and very cozy and welcoming.

A wonderful, cozy stay!

We had such a wonderful long-term stay at Carol's place! It has all the amenities you need to feel at home, and we really were sad to leave. We loved the big backyard, cozy fireplace and comfy bed. We both worked from home for 5 weeks and had no issue with the wifi either. The location is perfect—super close to Heavenly, but away from the touristy areas at Stateline. We loved the quiet neighborhood and the quick early morning drives to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood. Carol was super communicative and flexible with us. We enjoyed chatting with her. Our time at Carol's Place is one we'll never forget. We hope to return in the future!

Perfect, cozy getaway!!

Our family was looking for a quiet, socially distanced getaway! Carol’s place was perfect!! It was clean and updated, warm and cozy and had plenty of space for our family of 6. Carol was so sweet and helpful and we look forward to staying there again in the future!
