Perched above Palm Springs in an exclusive enclave, Villa Cahuilla boasts spectacular panoramic views of the city and surrounding desert mountains.

We recently finished several updates to the house that weren’t ready when the photos were taken… automated solar shades in the master suite, blackout blinds in additional guest bedrooms, huge outdoor daybed ottoman at pool, additional seating around the outdoor fire pits, and 2 large outdoor umbrellas around the pool.

Designed by celebrity architect Michael Mueller in 2013 with an homage to mid-century meets mission design, Villa Cahuilla is designed for private living and is now available for client’s appreciative of opulent amenities and materials not normally offered in a vacation home.

Nestled into the majestic San Jacinto mountains, Villa Cahuilla is a chic 4 bedroom, 3 bath oasis surrounding a luxurious heated pool that features 4 tranquil waterfall-fountains and offers completely unobstructed views of Palm Springs and the surrounding desert.

The private grounds boasts 4 separate outdoor fire features, ancient rock formations and stunning multi-tiered gardens that include a collective and mature cacti garden. Dine in the gardens at the outdoor dining table that seats 12, or belly up to the bar and BBQ beside the pool. The property also features an 8-person jacuzzi that is literally perched on the edge of the mountain; offering unobstructed views of Palm Springs and the surrounding desert mountains the jacuzzi’s own fire feature and multi-color mood lighting are indulgent complements to an evening of champagne and stargazing.

Pure luxury in amenities: Villa Cahuilla offers tranquil indoor-outdoor living with French doors that open the entire house to the pool, gardens, and unparalleled valley views. The living area features an 80” 3D plasma entertainment center and a dramatic stone fireplace. The master suite features it’s own stone fireplace and spa bath with twin basin sinks and raintree showers . Guest rooms include spa bath with huge soaking tub, raintree showers, plasma TVs, and large walk-in closets for long-term renters. Linens are sumptuous and unlike a typical vacation rental with plush Egyptian cotton bath and beach towels, luxury sheets, as well as extra blankets and comforters for those chilly nights. The modern gourmet kitchen offers 3 ovens including a convection oven for the chef, 4 burner gas stove, large-capacity dishwasher and custom cabinets with leather ball-stitched handles and white Caesarstone countertops. Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi completes the experience.

OUTSTANDING!

This place is amazing!!! It was very difficult to leave. My husband and I fell in love with this place. Everything was great! From the beautiful house and architecture, large glass doors that opened, the amazing pool and jacuzzi. The fire areas, the beautiful views and things to look at in every direction. It was gorgeous in the day and at night. The best stay ever! Nick and Mike were wonderful, imformative and kind. They made my husbands 50th birthday the best ever! We cant't wait to get back there! A Wonderful Stay - Great Host

A beautiful home with a great view and wonderful host made our recent stay at Villa Cahuilla a win on all levels. The home is stocked very well with cookware, dining plates and utensils for preparing meals and the housekeeping service (Mirabel & team) was super! The home is outstanding down to the smallest detail. A designer / decorator dream. Nick greeted us and was very friendly and super nice. I had an excellent experience with this vacation rental from start to finish. Communication with the owner was incredibly easy and he was super helpful, accessible and friendly. We were provided literally everything we could have wanted or needed while staying and it was truly paradise. Perfect getaway

Villa Cahuilla is the perfect location, convenient to the fun shops and restaurants of downtown Palm Springs yet a world away, secluded and private. There are so many different locations on the property to settle into a comfortable lounge chair to relax and enjoy the varied views of the city and mountain ranges. The sunrise and sunset over the mountains was amazing. From the pool to the jacuzzi to the ping pong table to the many board games, our family spent hours having fun. The property has everything you could want. We had the most amazing time!

The perfect weekend getaway with friends in Palm Springs

This property personifies Palm Springs getaway vacation! My wife wanted to spend her 40th birthday in Palm Springs with close friends and myself. She told me this was the best property she's stayed in Palm Springs, by far. The swimming pool was beautiful, the interior decor was clean and modern. The AC was working great when it was over 119. The house is located in a secluded neighborhood overlooking Palm Springs. It just doesn't get any better than this. The communication with property owners was top notch. A great memorable weekend!

Family Trip

Our family trip with my adult children and grandchild could not have been better. The grounds and house at Villa Cahuilla were perfect and absolutely beautiful. Nick was professional and friendly, and was quick to get back to me when I had a question. There were several attractions close by which we visited, though it was hard to leave the property. We also had a special family dinner celebration at the Villa with Chef Tammie, and it was superb. She and Liza were amazing. I can't say enough about Villa Cahuilla and would highly recommend this vacation spot for families or a group of friends who want privacy and beautiful surroundings.

Nick is an awesome host who clearly knows what he's doing. He warmly welcomes you and then lets you be, while remaining responsive to questions during your stay. And the house...words and pictures do no do it justice. The view is amazing. The area around the pool is on point. The kitchen is well equipped. The integrated sound system is amazing. Everything you want and need is right there and so much more. Amazing house and we can't wait to come back!!

Perfect House in Palm Springs

There are so many great things about this home, I do not know where to start. How about the view? As good as advertised. We even had one day of rain and sitting inside with the doors open, listening to the rain with the view of the beautiful landscape/rock formations/pool was great. The host is great at communication and provides a thorough introduction upon your arrival to the home. The location was 15 minutes from the airport and less than a 10 minute drive to anywhere you want to go in Palm Springs. The hiking is just out the door and up the hill. Do not miss this benefit as not many houses have such easy access. The rooms and the bathrooms were very nice. The hot tub was clean and hot and may have been the best hot tub experience due to the fire pit and view. If you have the opportunity to stay here, use the recommended in house chef for your meal as she gave us one of the most delicious, personalized and amazing dining experience we have ever had.

An exceptionally fine property in every respect

Villa Cahuilla is an exceptional property... among the best that we've ever rented. We spent four nights there in March 2016 and will surely return. Nick and Michael met us at checkin and provided a gracious and hospitable walkthrough. The villa has an excellent location on a hillside above Indian Canyon, with expansive views over Palm Springs to the surrounding mountains. The location offers tranquility and privacy, but the shops and restaurants of downtown are only a few minutes’ drive away. Both the interior and exterior are gorgeous; they are obviously the result of careful, loving, and professional design. The superb exterior offers a heatable pool and spa, with a gas firepit next to the spa for cold nights; beautiful landscaping with palm trees, large cacti, boulders, and desert plants; an outdoor bbq/bar area; a cocktail/conversation area next to another firepit; and an outdoor dining table for eight on a slightly lower terrace. (Forget the restaurants downtown and enjoy dinners there!) Each of these areas offers a different view of the mountains or the villa itself. The grounds and villa are beautifully illuminated after dark. The striking and modern interior is luxurious, nicely laid out, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, the beds comfortable, the wifi super fast, the entertainment systems high-tech but easy to operate, and the forced-air heating and cooling quiet and efficient. But if the outside temperature is comfortable, as it was most of the time for us, be sure to turn off the heating or cooling, open up the villa’s five sets of double doors, and experience Southern California’s famous indoor-outdoor lifestyle. You’ll be hooked!

Exceptional Property

Beautiful, private but close to everything. We were spoiled by the beautiful views, the peaceful quiet, salt water pool, tankless hot water showers that are hot in 5 seconds, and the local 10 minute hike to Desert Riders bluff and picnic area.Nick Bode was our contact and went out of his way organizing a chef prepared birthday dinner at the property, receiving wine from me for the event, etc. Great communications throughout the process.Our group of 8 thought this was in our top 3 vacations of all-time and voted this prop[erty as the vacation highlite; It is that good.

Villa Cahuilla Is Amazing!

I cannot recommend Villa Cahuilla highly enough. I could go on for pages and days about all of the wonderful things that there were to make our experience memorable and so perfectly turnkey. Here are a few of my top takeaways! Villa Cahuilla: The house itself is stunning. STUNNING. It is beautifully designed to maximize the world class view of the mountains and desert that Palm Springs is known for. The outdoor living space is all gorgeous, perfectly functional and adds value to the experience. We used the pool, jacuzzi, fire pit – and also enjoyed a dinner at the outdoor dining table. The interiors are gorgeous as well, you feel like you are in Architectural Digest photoshoot. A million little neat and interesting touches throughout. The kitchen is so well organized and comes with anything and everything you could need during your stay. (Really, they think of everything to make guests comfortable). Each time a new guest would arrive their jaws would drop! Location: You feel like you are tucked away and private, but the house only 5 minutes from town. It’s convenient to everything you could want to do in Palm Springs. There is even a hiking trail just up the hill from the house with amazing views. Mike & Nick: Super responsive, communicative, accommodating and very kind/cool people! Their attention to detail truly makes all the difference. They even worked to get me into the house early after a last-minute change of travel plans, communicated directly with a private chef to make sure every detail was seamless. Someone met me just to check me in and make sure everything was explained and pointed out. That is ultra-high quality service I have not expereinced before! You just can tell every single thing is put together with true care with the guest in mind. If you are looking for a special experience, Villa Cahuilla is the place. Really everything is included in this house. We will remember our stay for the rest of our lives! Five stars, and endless thanks to Mike and Nick. Worth every penny (and more)! :)

The Ideal House in Palm Springs

We had a great time at this truly beautiful property. Only stayed a couple of days so we weren't able to take advantage of everything this property offers. Made full use of the pool and jacuzzi and just generally hung out at the house, making forays into downtown Palm Springs occasionally. This property sits on a hillside with a great view across the valley. It's accessible by a private road and feels very private and secluded, yet just minutes away from Palm Springs, Palm Desert and pretty much everything else. Nick was a great host, met us at the house and showed us how everything works. We had just got in from a long drive from the Grand Canyon, so I absorbed about half of it, but everything is pretty straightforward. Nick responds promptly to any questions you might have. Honestly, this house is ideal, really, and we would love to come back and spend more time!

This property was purchased because it was the most unique property I had ever seen in Palm Springs. The site is spectacular with 360 degree views while the privacy around the house makes for the perfect hideaway. The extensive and mature cacti garden are also truly unique.

Villa Cahuilla is remarkable because of the way in which architecture and landscape conjoin in this private desert retreat. The huge swimming pool with its waterfall-fountains, and luxurious jacuzzi perched above the valley offer the rejuvenation of a retreat unlike any other!
