Your Home In The Mountains!

Mountain Home is a 2BD/1BA condo located at 8500 feet in historic Georgetown. From the balcony, there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It is located walking distance from the beautiful Victorian homes, downtown shops, and restaurants that make up this quaint mountain community. Lovely Clear Creek borders the property as it flows into Lake Georgetown.

The condo has two private bedrooms and a sofa sleeper in the living room. The master is furnished with a queen size bed, while the second bedroom has two twin beds that can be put together to form a queen if desired. The sofa sleeper in the living room is also a queen size bed. All of the beds have memory foam mattresses and pillows for your comfort. There is a full bathroom, a full kitchen and dining area equipped for up to 6 people (maximum of 4 adults per Georgetown Short Term Rental Ordinance) along with a full bathroom. For those with little ones, there is a pack-n-play crib and a high chair in the unit. For your convenience, there is also a washer and dryer in the unit.

In the winter, Mountain Home is a great place to base your ski trips and other winter excursions. We are only minutes from several great ski resorts!

In the summer, take exciting whitewater rafting trips on Clear Creek in nearby historic Idaho Springs (14 miles or 17 minutes).

If you are looking for some city time, we are only 23 miles from Silverthorne to the west and 45 miles from downtown Denver to the east.

As noted above, Georgetown is at an elevation of 8,500 feet up in the Rocky Mountains. The condo is on the 3rd floor (top floor) and there is no elevator in the building, so you need to be prepared to get your steps in!

We enjoyed a wonderful Colorado Christmas at Nick’s condo! The Christmas decorations, including a tree and holiday bedding made the trip so special. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and there were even games that our adult kids enjoyed playing. The location was ideal to access everything we love about Summit County and also close to Idaho Springs. And of course, we loved being in Georgetown. We rode the Christmas train and it was such an amazing experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you again!

Short stay before we moved on. Only wished there were more windows to see out of. The traffic was the only other thing that you hear at night when windows are open. Cute place for shorter stays

Location is wonderful, perfect stepping off point to adventure in the Rockies! The condo was clean, beds were comfy memory foam, and the kitchen was well stocked.

The place was exactly as described. Clean and comfy. The building entry process is a little clunky, but not a deal breaker. Would visit again without hesitation.

Cozy condo in Georgetown

This 3rd floor condo fit our trip perfectly! Perfectly located within walking distance to the lake, a Brewery, and quick easy access to the highway! This condo hit everything we needed with the right amount of beds, bedding, towels, etc! The kitchen was fully equipped and it even had a washer and dryer! The owner was very easy to communicate with, polite, and very helpful. So thankful they shared their vacation home with us for our trip!

3rd floor condo no elevator

The condo was nice and well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Washer and dryer access was great. The checkin and checkout process has multiple codes. The listing did not clarify the unit was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. I would not have been able to take my luggage up to the room if my adult children were not with me. It met our needs but I would not have chosen if I had known these things ahead of time.

Good alternative to staying in summit county

If you really want glamour or an ultra-modern space this might not be the place for you, but but our party found the space to be a perfectly comfortable but no-frills launch point for a ski trip to the Ikon pass destinations near the divide. Do note that when there's snow there can be a lot of traffic near the tunnel which sits between georgetown and dillon which might substantially raise travel times.Kitchen felt small at times but was enough, and we appreciated the flat top stove.

Hockey Tournament Stay

My friends and I rented the place for a pond hockey tournament and everything went well. Location was perfect and the house had everything we needed. Would stay again!

Great location to ski Loveland

Very nice condo in a perfect location. My friends and I drove up from Kansas, were able to pick up our ski rentals in Idaho Spring, get dinner and check into this condo all in the same day. It made a weekend ski trip a great option and I hope to do it again soon. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed.

Beautiful views with mountains and lake

The condo was so close to Georgetown and had beautiful views of mountains on both sides. The lake was right there and there were some walking trails to walk. We had a difficult time getting into the condo, so be sure to read all the access instructions, but Nick was patient and gracious in helping us get in. I also didn't see in the description that it's on the 3rd floor. We weren't used to the high elevation, so with less oxygen, it made us out of breath climbing the stairs at first. Other than that, the condo was very clean and comfortable and, as I mentioned, the owner was quick to respond. I would recommend this condo to others.

Excellent Stay

We had a lovely time in this Georgetown condo. Super clean and strategically located near many of Colorados best ski areas. Our family enjoyed the comfortable beds and the two bedroom aspect was ver nice. Georgetown is a charming little town to walk around. The library is an absolute gem. Five star for cleanliness, location and overall condition of condo.

This place is perfect

We loved staying here because of the quaint beautiful town. The lake was like steps away from the condo, and our kids were able to ice fish there and both caught. Plus the town has a mining tour right there and it was very cool and reasonable on price. This condo is like 15mins to loveland skiing and that place is great extremely friendly staff and once again reasonable. If you are like us, we wanted to see as much as we could, and this condos location gave us the ability. Breckenridge, frisco, keystone, and WinterPark are all at the most 45 minutes from the condo and that was what we loved as well since we visited almost all of them. If your looking for a great place to call home for a lil while this is the place the kitchen was well equipped with everything we could possibly need in order to make breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. I could go on forever, but ultimately this is a great place to stay.

Clean and cozy get away

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this location. We live where it is located and it is very clean and cozy. Always a treat! Love the trail along the creek that is just outside. You can literally walk along the creek all the way into downtown Georgetown! We will be back again!

Great location

This was the perfect spot to land during our travels in the area. A short jaunt to tons of great activities. Highly recommend white water rafting!! Our only complaint was no a/c…so it was a little warm in the afternoons. It cooled down nicely at night though, so was comfortable with the windows open.

Exceptionally Clean

The property was exceptionally clean. Compared to other places we've stayed it was quite spacious. Big closets, well stocked kitchen, very organized. Close to ski areas and much less expensive. Big screen smart TV was ideal for watching March Madness and movies. We spent much time in the rental as our purpose in staying here was to acclimate to the higher elevation (in the acclimation process my husband sleeps and I read books). The rental gets some afternoon sun. The view of the mountains can be seen from the deck or by standing in front of the patio door, which was a small disappointment. We are older but did not find the 3 flights of stairs too much of a problem. The thermostat is locked at 68° which felt a little cool in the evening, but there were plenty of soft snuggly blankets. We appreciated the washer and dryer located in the rental. Overall very good experience and would recommend to others

Georgetown get away

This is a very well kept and clean property. 15 minutes from Loveland ski area and right on Georgetown lake. We had a blast!

We are three siblings who took over this property from our father when he passed away in 2006. We live in California, Arizona, and Texas so having a nice home in the mountains where we can get away from the heat in the summer and play in the snow in the winter is fantastic. As we are located out of state for most of the year, we would like to share our Mountain Home with you and your families and friends.

Our father purchased this condo in 2000 when he was working in one of the local mines. We would visit him during the winter to ski, and in the summer to escape the heat. The Georgetown Christmas Market in December and the 4th of July Parade are particularly memorable highlights of our family reunions in Georgetown. That being said, the best part of our trips would be the skiing! We would start our trips with a day at Loveland to get our legs under us, and then venture from there. One day at A-Basin, night skiing at Keystone, exploring Winter Park and Copper Mountain; all were a part of our trips and the variety added to the enjoyment. Each day would bring a new mountain and new adventures.
