WELCOME to Lake Therapy our 3 bed 2 bath Cottage located between Scottsboro and Guntersville. You are close to restaurants, shopping, state parks and other activities to experience. The cottage offers spectacular lake front views of Lake Guntersville from the kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms. Screened in porch spans the entire back side of home. Incredible outdoor fireplace that is perfect for night time gatherings. Large front and back yard for outdoor activities. Newly furnished and beautifully decorated.
We recently purchased this beautiful cottage to enjoy in retirement and to share with others as the previous owners did over the past several years.

Enjoyed our stay at Lake Therapy. The house was well equiped to make our Thanksgiving dinner. The weather turned cold so we weren't able to sit out on the screened porch but there were great views of the lake from the living areas. The house is conveniently located between the towns of Guntersville and Scottsboro.

Truly Therapeutic

The property is gorgeous. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The property manager was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely book this lil slice of heaven again.

There are not enough great things to say. We were so comfortable and the house was stocked with essentials. We loved the screen porch. It rained most of the time but we were able to walk down to the lake and fish. Would definitely recommend and we will visit again!

Best Lakefront Cottage in Scottsboro

This cottage is exactly what you expect a southern lakefront carriage to be. The space was perfect for the 6 of us. Each couple had a bedroom and there was plenty of space to sit and visit or share a meal. The back porch overlooking Lake Guntersville is screened in and such a wonderful place to enjoy nature with a good book. Parking was not an issue either as the driveway is long and had plenty of room for our three trucks and two boats. This is our second time booking this property and we hope it’s available when we travel to Scottsboro again!

Lake Therapy is RELAXING!

My husband and I with our three children (ages 2, 7, 10) stayed at Lake Therapy for Thanksgiving week! We hope to be back potentially for the spring! The house is beautifully decorated. The views of the lake from the back windows and screen in porch are absolutely gorgeous! Even though the weather became colder as we stayed, we still enjoyed the fireplace outside the home.

Absolutely beautiful! The house itself was very clean and the decor was perfect for lakeside living. Ths only issue was the dining dishes were dirty and/or were half cleaned.

Great Time with Friends!

Lake Therapy was the perfect place for our group of friends. The cottage had a beautiful view of the lake from the screened in porch. Accommodations were perfect for our group - kitchen well equipped for meals and snacks. Bedrooms and beds very comfortable for a peaceful nights sleep. Nice quiet area to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Outdoor fireplace was a bonus for the chilly evenings and for making s’mores.

Great Weekend Getaway

We were there for a birthday trip. The house is beautiful and very clean. Check in process was super easy. Host communication was great. Everything you need for cooking and grilling. Some spices left. The view is absolutely phenomenal. Pay attention to what hunting season it is. We were woke up early Saturday to duck hunters. Not a big deal for us because it was fun to watch them do their thing. Definitely recommend Lake Therapy!

Loved it!

Loved the house and the views are spectacular. The home has large windows to see the river as well as a huge screened in back porch. I loved to sit in the back porch in peace drinking my morning coffee and just soaking in the view. Also loved the kayaks provided as we used them daily. The home provided everything needed for our stay.

Birthday Celebration!

This house made for amazing memories to be shared forever! The decorations and comfort of the space was everything I wanted and more. I really enjoyed the Kayaks provided since the water was not swimmable at the waters edge. If you row out in the Kayaks it’s shallow and you can still stand up on a bed of shells about 3 feet deep. If you’re a fisher this is the spot for sure as well! Will return for more rest and relaxation in the future!

Perfectly Named

We had a great time. The cabin was very clean and extremely comfortable. Had a beautiful view of the lake from the back porch and a really short walk to the lake for fishing. Rained on our last day but the screened in porch was perfect for still being able to enjoying the outdoors and family time. Would highly recommend this cabin. Thanks for sharing your home. We will be back.

Tranquility and comfort!

The title says it all! But I'll elaborate a bit! My family, ages 16 to 82, flew to Florida for Christmas, then did a 5 state driving tour. We stayed in several hotels, but i knew on the last nights of our road trip, we'd be more comfortable in a house so we could spread out. We were happy with all the accommodations this home offered. Room for all 6 of us to sleep (superbly comfortable beds) play games, & walk outdoors! The sunsets were amazing, but my favorite moment was one morning sunrise and a visit from a little red fox! Breathtaking! We cooked, did laundry, played games, and relaxed with ease. My only regret is that we only stayed for 2 nights. We did a day trip to Huntsville and went to the NASA rocket center, Top Golf & had mouthwatering BBQ at Jim H Niks! The drive through North Alabama was very pretty. All communications with the owners went well and checkin/checkout was seamless! Our family are river people, living and working on them, but this lake and home were an excellent way for us to unwind from our hectic lives. The owners know what appeals to people and it is obvious that they care about not only astetically pleasing the visitor, but ensuring that they are comfortable. Upon leaving, we filled up the coffee & left a few spices for the next visitors to enjoy.

Quiet and lovely stay!

We had the best weekend for my husband's 50th birthday (surprise). The cottage was absolutely perfect in every way. It was immaculate and so welcoming. We spent both nights outside by the fireplace. It was the best! We enjoyed our coffee on the screened porch and played endless games of cornhole with our 13 year old son. We all enjoyed the selection of games they had on hand. We spent plenty of time down by the lake catching tiny fish. We had one of the best steaks at Big Mike's Steakhouse for dinner one night and grilled out the other night. This sweet cottage is so quiet and relaxing. No busy roads nearby- only the sound of birds and scampering squirrels. We couldn't ask for a better time or better accommodations.

Fishing trip with Dad

Loved the screened in porch and fireplace. My Dad loved sitting on the porch and watching the boats go by. Curious about the outdoor fireplace history. The hanging arm seems to suggest this was once a house fireplace. House was clean and neat and decorated well. Will be back.

Felt like entire house was an upgrade!

Our family decided to stay on the lake for the weekend. It was a great location to meet up with our daughter in Huntsville while we are in Atlanta. The house was absolutely fantastic. It seemed the hosts decided to go better or best on anything they put in the house. This included the decor, furniture, outdoor fireplace, kitchen dishes & utensils, etc, etc. etc. The view was nice and we enjoyed eating breakfast on the covered deck.
