WELCOME TO BARNWOOD LODGE! A fully renovated pre-civil war luxury vacation rental. This is the largest of our vacation rental cabins. This 2.3 acre lakefront property features the main house which consists of 2 -1800's log cabins, fully restored with 5 bedrooms, each with a bathroom, plus a 600 sq ft detached bunk/guest house with its own bathroom and kitchenette and sleeping space for up to 13 guests. This over 4,000 sq foot property is able to accommodate up to 27 guests in beds. Barnwood Lodge was featured on the hit DIY Network show, Barnwood Builders as part of Season 3. Best vacation

Barnwood Lodge was the perfect place for our big family. It is so roomy but the bedrooms are situated that you still have privacy. We will return!

Favorite Place we’ve ever stayed!

Our big family outgrew all of our houses- so we now choose a location every year and meet up for Christmas to spend a few nights together. This was definitely one of our favorite places we have ever stayed! Accommodating, beautiful, and very cozy! We hope to stay again there soon!

Very relaxing

Listening to the birds in the morning was amazing. Property is MORE than comfortable for a large family like mine. There is privacy for your family but also numerous communal areas where we hung out to tell stories and catch up. I would recommend!

Celebrating our Mom's 90th birthday

Our family gathered to celebrate our mom's 90th birthday. The house was perfect! It accommodated all ages. It had everything we needed. We felt right at home. Beautiful Combination of History and Comfort

We had a wonderful time staying at the Barnwood Lodge! Natalie and Karen were both very quick to respond and answer questions that we had leading up to and throughout our weekend stay. When we did have a small road bump and weren't able to find something, they were thorough and helpful in resolving it. The combination of history that they preserved with comfort brought through renovations is quite impressive. Our entire group found it to be a very enjoyable experience!

So wonderful

In 2019 I planned a July 2020 family reunion for my mom’s 80th birthday. The pandemic forced postponing twice, but we finally made it. Barnwood Lodge was just wonderful. Such a beautiful place with rustic charm and all the needed conveniences. We looked to this for long and we’re not disappointed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and my family does too. And the owner was pleasant and accommodating for everything. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Tannehill Valley Baptist Women’s Retreat

This home is amazing!! The property was exactly as described. In fact it was better than I could have ever imagined! There is such fun around every corner and my ladies group loved it. They didn’t want to leave!! We went to immerse ourselves in the Lord and God moved in a mighty way this weekend. I have a feeling we will be back🥰

Amazing

Perfect in every aspect. We had 9 adults and 5 kids (all boys, ages 6 to 15). The kids loved the bunk house! They were so excited to have their very own house! And the adults loved the main house. Each bedroom has their own private bathroom, which is very convenient.The common areas were large enough for us to gather and play games and have dinner together. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare large meals. We were there for a family reunion that was held at Guntersville State Park. A few other family members stopped by for a visit during our time there and everyone loved the Barwood Lodge. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for the perfect vacation.

Great location for large groups

We had 4 large families getting together for grandmother's birthday. It was fantastic! Well supplied kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms. gas grill was a plus. We spent most of our time by the outdoor firepit because it was cold, but will return in warmer weather to enjoy the lake. I would say that the bunk house is more detached than we thought from the pictures, so those planning for kids to sleep there without adult supervision need to plan accordingly.

Stunning home

Couldn’t have had a better experience with a cabin rental! The Barnwood Lodge is even more beautiful in person than the pictures show. It was the perfect place for a family reunion and we would most definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on Guntersville Lake. Communication with the owner was one of the best experiences we’ve had with rentals. No complaints!

Family memories to last a lifetime

Our family was blessed to enjoy your wonderful home and property. We made memories kayaking, canoeing, swimming, playing games, roasting Smores, eating and catching up with each other. Our young children now have lasting memories and relationships with their cousins. The best thing of all was the comfort of this beautiful home for meals, entertainment and rest. All was excellent!

Beautiful Home

We brought our resident year long student staff (college age students) plus 3 families and 2 other staff for a total of 22 people for a weekend away. This house was perfect for us to gather and retreat! The bedroom arrangements worked well for our group.

It was amazing!!! Youth and youth leaders loved it.

This was a very neat experience. The cabin was unique in design. Everyone enjoyed looking around at all of the extra ordinary decorative items and the different designs. We had plenty of room. The information packet was very easy to understand, and we had everything we needed. It was overall a very enjoyable weekend. The owners were also easy to work with and very accommodating.

An amazing experience, great place for larger groups!

We took our church youth group for a week. The students absolutely loved the house and had a blast. They were never board with the water activities and just enjoying being in the house. There are plenty of board/ card games in the house along with kayaks and we rented a pontoon boat to go out on the water. They fished off the dock and made memories they’ll never forget. We definitely recommend this place 100%!

Nice overall. Great looking log home.

Nice location. Just 15 minutes from town. Our family had a great time. Karen kept us informed about events taking place during our stay. Fishing was great. Cabin is sitting on a great bass fishing lake. Loved the old frontier log home feel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great log home stay.

From the mouth of our grandson; "Why have we not been spending every Christmas here"!

Amazing retreat!! My husband and I had planned a Christmas at this cabin for our family and extended family! A month before Christmas, our brother in law was lost in a tragic accident. Although a very sad time, his family was still able to come together and spend a day with us . We laughed, shared memories, shared a meal and loved on them! We spend a week, December 22-December 29, 2017, and it was just so relaxing, peaceful, spacious..and so much more. The owner, Karen Tillery, was such a joy to work with. She has thought of everything that you would need and has filled her cabin with comfortable beds and linens! The bunk house was perfect for our teen age grandchildren and nephews. They enjoyed the paddle boats to fish. It was also enjoyed by the adults. In fact, our sons talked of building one on their property for their children and friends to hangout! I would recommend Barn Wood Lodge Cabin for anyone needing a lot of space. The property has something for all ages. There are board games, cards, dvd's, horse shoes, and lots of rocking chairs on the many different porches, to relax, enjoy the view, read or visit with friends and family! You will not be disappointed. The hard part is having to leave! But there's always next year!!thank you Karen for opening up your cabin to our family!

This awesome cabin was my fourth pre-civil war to purchase, renovate, furnish and open as a vacation rental. I absolutely love taking something that is old and in some cases way past its 'prime' and reinventing it using upcycled materials. I love the process and I love the results!

While not ADA compliant, we have tried to make Barnwood Lodge a little easier for older folks and those with mild disabilities to be able to navigate. We have a ramp from the driveway to the entry door on the main level. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms on the main level as well as the kitchen, dining area, sunroom and large covered back porch. The showers in both bathrooms have a seat and are walk in access.
