On the sand with 180 degree view of water! We are on the second and third floors which give you a 180 degree view of Sail Bay from both floors. In San Diego it is rare to find A/C at the beach but we have two portable a/c units each cooling approximately 600 square feet of space. On the quiet Bay side, the beach is right in front of you and surf all a few steps away. This is the perfect vacation retreat, located on beautiful and relaxing Sail Bay/Mission Bay on the beach, walk to nearby restaurants, shopping and nightlife. A new market just opened a 2 minute walk.Better Buz Coffee a 2nminutecwalk. Located directly on the boardwalk you can walk or bike easily to anywhere in Pacific Beach or Mission Beach. There are numerous stores 2-3 minute walk from the property that rent bikes. We also have beach towels and chairs included.

The 1 car parking space is on the ground floor with the living room, dining room, kitchen, and office on the second floor. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the third floor. Incredible views from the balconies of Sail Bay. This is not your typical beachy chic rental. We take pride in our unit and have furnished it with modern comfortable furniture. We even have an office area in the condo so you just have to hook your laptop and can work from the beach, if you need to. The bathrooms and kitchen have all been recently redone. The quartz counter kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils, and accessories from blender, toaster, coffee maker, rice cooker, etc. enjoy grilling on the balcony while watching the jet ski rides or have a romantic candle light dinner on the balcony looking at the evening lights over the bay.

From yoga on paddle boards to sailing the bay...its all in your front yard. Walk two blocks to the surf on the beach side for amazing sunsets. Free wireless, smart TVs for when you don't want to be on the go. The unit includes one uncovered parking spot right under the unit with plenty of extra storage for all of your beach toys. In addition, there is a large public parking lot a short distance away making it easy for extra cars or visitors. For the few days you need A/C we have two portable air cooling units. Each unit cools approximately 600 square feet.

The host made everything right but there were some issues with check in. The check-in instructions were a mess and out of date and the instructions book in the unit was way out of date. Otherwise, the views were amazing, the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Property was okay, Showers need new heads, sliding door upstairs in smaller room came off the track and almost fell on a family member, And over all that smaller bedroom was mis-represented a bit, one bed was a cot, the bunkers were nice though. Location was good, lights on the dining table didn’t work, over all needs some tlc for the price being charged.

Nice place to stay

Location is great to be around the quiet bay. The walk to Mission Beach is only a couple minutes and there are plenty of places around for food and rental shops. Rad was the best for boards and wetsuits. It was nice to have a garage to park the mini-van. the spot outside of the garage will fit a smaller car.

Nice Place

Highly recommend this place. Furnished well, clean, great location within walking distance to coffe shops, restaurants, and both the bay and ocean sides of Mission Beach. Parking is right, but we were able to fit a Ford Explorer in the space. Only side note is that the listing did say “gym” but there wasn’t one. But overall, would definitely stay here again. Owner was very nice and responsive to any questions.

Exactly what we wanted!

Location was perfect! We love the Bay side, and the view from condo was a bonus! Condo was clean, comfortable, and met all of our needs. We walked everywhere! Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location, A/C is misleading, Odd Insurance Claim

Location is excellent - clean, accessible, with convenient parking. Modern, well-equipped furnishings. Easy walks to both bay and ocean beaches. Nearby amenities include restaurants, bars, bakery, and coffee shop within 3-4 minutes. We enjoyed watching our children play on the calm bay beach from the patio. Parents should note access requires going through the apartment complex, which means there’s some delay if you had a true emergency. We had a few odd issues though. First, AC relies on two portable units, rather than mini-splits or central air. These require partially open sliding glass doors for ventilation tubes and the units were really really loud. In August heat, bedrooms remained in the low 70s overnight. This likely would be less of an issue other times of the year. Secondly, listing includes a garage, but access is limited. We had a designated parking space and were allowed to store bikes in the garage. However, with the owner's car present which meant it was as easy to bring our bikes as we hoped. Finally, after our first shower, we reported a pre-existing shower drain backup. We reported it and it was addressed quickly, but an insurance claim was filed and we got dinged unfairly for it.

Fantastic Location, Apartment and Host

The apartment was amazing, the space was beautifully designed, lots of space, clean and tidy. The views over the bay were gorgeous and our favourite was the 3 minute walk to the beach - the sunsets at mission beach really are something else. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans and the beds were very comfy. Nice and quite on an evening. Such a great place to explore the Mission bay/beach area.

Great location could be perfect with a few tweaks.

The condo is in a great location on a quiet bay a couple of blocks from the Pacific. The boardwalk is great for exercising whether walking, running or cycling. Much less congested than the Pacific side. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance and many of San Diego’s top tourist attractions are within a 15 minute drive. The condo was well equipped. The only things that keep it from being perfect are the parking which is tight on an alley, a Toyota Forerunner, which we rented is a little too long, and the lock boxes to get a key for the building were somewhat confusing to use until you figure them out. Also, the AC is done with portable units that need to be put at the sliding doors to use which were needed in August and the washer and dryer are coin units on the property whereas most VRBO’s where they are noted are in the unit and part of the rental. All of this is noted in the details provided but can be misleading in a casual reading of what is included. We enjoyed the property and would rent again if going to the area.

Great Stay

The primary property was very well cared for and well equipped - especially for staying with an infant and 4 year old. We loved the views and the low-key nature of the bay. The shared laundry room could use some work, but there are other laundry mats near by if seeded

Great Spot! Would recommend!

Our family of 4 had an amazing week in this condo. Plenty of space for everyone and a great view from the balcony. Plenty of great eats in walking distance and the perfect beach spot a two minute walk away. Condo is comfy, clean and enjoyable!

Great Experience (with a side note)

All the good things about the property in other reviews are true. It is a lovely property with a great location. We had a small hiccup at check-in, but the property manager was quick to handle it. Be sure to heed warnings about parking space. We had a large vehicle and needed to keep it at the nearby lot. We saw no ladder for the bunk bed, which was an issue for us. However, a stowaway bed in the closet worked quite well. We experienced a bit of trouble locking the door. Again, the property manager was quick to respond. Finally, both bathrooms are on the 3rd floor with the bedrooms. There is not one on the floor with kitchen/living areas. These are just some little things that we thought might be helpful to know in advance, but in no way created a negative experience during our stay. Note: AFTERWARD, we received a text about a “nasty sink” and sand in the master bath shower, followed with “hopefully your insurance will cover.” We were flabbergasted. We had never had an issue in a rental before. We questioned their claims and were met with “what is wrong with you and how do you sleep at night?” and that we should be apologizing and “stay home in the future and not destroy other people’s property with negligence.” We asked specifically whom we were speaking to and asked them to “most kindly provide the bill.” They responded with “I am the owner of our home that you wrecked. Good Bye.” Again, just something that may be helpful to know in advance.

Fantastic rental on Mission Beach

This rental was perfect for our spring break get away! Located right on the beach - walking distance to shops and restaurants. Easy access to the Zoo, Seaworld and Downtown. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed! Thank you for a relaxing and fun vacation

We are currently Florida residents and beaches are our passion. Both of us grew up in Southern California and missed the beaches and the California vibe. Our daughter and her family live here and we decided that we would like to spend part of the year here enjoying the them and San Diego.

Mission Bay or as some call it Sail Bay is so much tranquil than the beach side. You can still be in the middle of all the action on the beach side which is a two minute walk, but if you want to get away from all the activity and find some peace and relaxation then the bay side is for you. The property has been renovated recently and is right on the boardwalk with unobstructed views of the bay. Another very important amenity is parking. One space right under the property is for tenants of the property. Parking spaces are very rare in the beach area. There is ample parking including overnight ( free ) at the Santa Clara lot a 5 minute walk away.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love the bay side of Mission Beach because it is more tranquil and quiet than the beach side. It is amazing to be able to enjoy both the beach and tranquility of the bay. Watch the bike riders on the boardwalk and the sail boats sail by as you seat in your bay front balcony. We hope you will love it as much as we do!
