Welcome to Strandpark Baabe, arguably the most beautiful part of the island of Rügen.
Your Ostseewelle beach house, like the Traumland, Traumzeit, and Traumblick beach houses, is located about 150 meters directly behind the dune, where the coastal protection forest meets the Baabe Heath, which is part of the UNESCO Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve. This quietly situated beach house stands slightly elevated on the Baabe Dune, well sheltered by mature trees and featuring a sunny terrace. The house was built in a Scandinavian style with additional exterior insulation and a wooden facade. The interior spaces, with their particularly cozy ambiance, are flooded with light, and the amenities leave nothing to be desired. Air-source heat pump, radiant floor heating, sauna, Wi-Fi, fireplace, etc. The lakeside promenade runs about 150 meters in front of your house, stretching from Sellin through Baabe to Göhren. Bike paths connect you to all of Rügen right from your front door, and if you want to go further, you can even travel via Saßnitz to Bornholm or Sweden. Numerous hiking trails invite you to explore the surrounding area, and fishing enthusiasts will find an extensive fishing area at Selliner See. Numerous restaurants, shops, bike rentals, an open-air theater, and more are within easy walking distance—or take a ride on the “Rasender Roland,” our narrow-gauge railway, or the “Lütt Bahn.”



“Ostseewelle” Beach House with Terrace:

The lovingly furnished, approximately 85-square-meter non-smoking “Ostseewelle” beach house, designed in a Scandinavian style with a fireplace and sauna, is ideal for 6 adults and 1 toddler up to 3 years old in a travel crib. You enter your beach house through a small entryway with a coat rack and shoe racks. On the first floor is the living/dining area with a cozy leather sofa corner, 2 armchairs, a tall cabinet with a Smart TV, Blu-ray player, mini stereo system with USB port, and a Philips DAB radio. You won’t have to do without internet access (Wi-Fi) either. This is included for you. If you’d like to make things a little cozier in the evening, light the fireplace in the living room and wind down the day with a glass of wine. Adjacent to the living area is the built-in kitchen, which is equipped with all the appliances you’re used to at home: dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, glass-ceramic stove with oven, microwave, coffee maker, SENSEO coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and blender; and ambitious home cooks will find a wide selection of kitchen utensils. The large dining table seats 6 people. The living area provides direct access to the sunny terrace (south/east), which is furnished with comfortable patio furniture. You can use the electric grill for barbecuing. In the small storage room under the stairs, you’ll find chair cushions and some cleaning supplies. The cozy bedroom on the first floor is furnished with two box-spring beds (0.90 m x 2.00 m), nightstands, reading lamps, and a wardrobe. The large bathroom on the same level features a shower, sauna, and a whirlpool—your very own “wellness area” for pampering yourself! It also includes a sink, toilet, and hair dryer. A washer/dryer for small loads is also located in the bathroom. A wooden staircase leads up to the light-filled upper floor. On the loft, there’s a foosball table for fun “soccer games” and a reading nook with armchairs. Two additional bedrooms with box-spring beds (1 bedroom with a double bed 1.80 m x 2.00 m, 1 bedroom with two single beds 0.90 m x 2.00 m), wardrobes, a flat-screen TV, shelves with reading lights, and a second large bathroom with natural light, featuring a shower, toilet, sink, and makeup mirror, are also located on the upper floor. The house features underfloor heating on the tiled first floor. The carpeted upper floor is equipped with individually adjustable wall-mounted radiators. All rooms have insect screens. For our younger guests, we provide 1 high chair, 1 travel crib, and a stair gate (on the upper floor). A parking space (No. 02) is available for our guests on the property. You can park and lock your rented or personal bicycles next to the house (concrete-set bike rack). Two pets are welcome guests, provided they have their own sleeping areas, for a fee. You can book an initial linen package (complete set of bed linens, 1 shower towel, 2 small hand towels) for an additional fee up to 14 days
