Great place for a family get away

Our family enjoyed a great stay at the Cozy Cottage. The updates to the cottage made the stay easy. The beds were comfortable. It is an easy walk to the beach, yet felt secluded. We all gave a thumbs up to returning.

Great dog and family friendly getaway

We came with our in-laws and pup for a relaxing 5 day vacation. Lovely open living room area, nice covered patio, partial view of ocean, we loved the upstairs balcony! Felt secluded, even with a resort across the street! Walking distance to coast, close to everything in town! We loved it!

Nice Getaway Hub

We had several classmates staying at Driftwood Shores for HS Reunion, so this location was perfect for all activities and gathering spot. House is comfortable, a boutique property. There is a gate at driveway which helps security. This place worked well for us during this occasion. Beds comfortable, pillows firm. Bring your own if you prefer soft.

Perfect getaway

My husband and I wanted a quick trip to the coast with our dog and we couldnā€™t have asked for a more perfect spot. The house is tucked into the trees making it private and romantic and great for our dog. We loved it!

Family Spring Break

Our family traveled to the Redwoods for Spring Break, and we also wanted a couple of days to visit the Oregon coast. This house was a perfect location. We enjoyed the games and the space was perfect for our family of five plus our puppers. The walk to the beach was short.

A private, cozy cottage

This was our second time staying here and we love the privacy and quiet, as well as the view of the ocean from the second-floor deck and the sound of the waves. The cottage has its own natural wind-break due to trees, so even though our beach walks were very blustery and cold, the ambience back at the house was peaceful, warm and still.

Beautiful secluded home close to beach access

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property. It is secluded, private yet within walking distance to the beach. A few suggestions regarding supplies. The pan selection is challenging and the pans are such that food sticks to them making it difficult to cook. The cooking utensils, lack of utility scissors and lack of oven mitts is also challenging. Otherwise the place was perfect and we will definately return.

It was alright

The house had everything you would need but it was on the older side. Getting in was a bit frustrating because the keypad wasnā€™t working and we waited on hold a long time before we got it figured out. We loved Florence-dune buggy on the sand dunes, the sea lion caves and the beach was awesome.

Wonderful location and nice amenities

The living room and two decks were really great and we enjoyed spending a lot of time there. The bedrooms were very nice as well and my grandson loved the bedroom off of the upstairs deck. It was so close to a state park beach entrance we could walk there in about 3 minutes. Just wonderful. The house was clean except for the floors which are so dirty they're sticky. So I'm sure it has been an on-going issue. There's a sign by the door to take shoes off but after walking on the floor once, I kept my shoes on. It was pretty disgusting. Also, we were supposed to check in at 4:00 and after driving 8 hours were really looking forward to dropping off our luggage and getting to the beach. We had to wait until 4:15 for the cleaners to leave. That was very frustrating and there's no way we shouldn't have been able to drive right up at 4:00 and unload. So the home and location were wonderful. The owner needs to get a new cleaning service.

The native forest surrounding this cottage made the stay worth it. The home is charming though uncomfortable in terms of the couch and downstairs bed. The covered deck is great and pleasant to sit on and watch birds. For Nature lovers it's a fine stay. No toaster was a disappointment as I planned on toast for breakfast each day.

Beach vacation

The house was close to the beach. Also, the appliances in the kitchen were nice. When we arrived there was someone there to say the sink upstairs was broken. The guy never came back and we didn't have a working sink in the upstairs bathroom the whole time we stayed here. Also, the shower curtain was gross and moldy. The furniture is also very uncomfortable. The bed and couch are like rocks. This place could have been better, but honestly no one says anything about the comfort level of the beds. We slept so horribly that it made the whole trip not so fun.

Property should be condemned

This house is run down and filthy with plumbing issues that cause the tub drain to run down through the living room ceiling and lights, leaving us with no answer in what to do next. Itā€™s check out day and havenā€™t heard back about the leaky ceiling still. Dirty moldy towels, grimey floors, sandy bed sheets, very dirty bath mats, couch filled with old food and has never been cleaned, and smells like old rotten meat. Happy 60th Birthday Mom! Glad I could show you what itā€™s like to live in squaller.
