The Space:

Discover authentic rest and relaxation that can only be found during an amazing vacation at Toes in the Sand. This home is very neat, well kept, and recently updated in the winter of 2019. Sit back and relax on the screened porch or take the short walk to the beach for afternoons of fun in the sun. If biking or walking is on your agenda, the community bike path can be picked up adjacent to the rear of the property taking your group on a great trek around the beach and out on the island. The kitchen, dining, and living room combination will have your group sharing laughter and fun throughout your visit to Edisto. Internet access and cable televisions will keep each guest entertained if a brief afternoon shower interrupts your sunny day on the beach. You and your family will spend hours relaxing and finding out what all the fuss is about Edisto Beach. Start your vacation tradition with your Toes in the Sand!

House was very clean and well stocked. For us, the location was perfect as we enjoy that south end of the island. The screened porch was nice for morning and evening sits and the fact that it backs up to the bike trail was a plus also.

House was great, location was great, the dining table and chairs could stand to be updated, the glass top table had pointy edges that we had to keep blocked so my two year old grandson wouldnt hit his head on the edge

House wonderful for our needs

End of Summer - two families with teens enjoyed the wide open space inside and easy walk to the beach. Home was very comfortable

Great location

A block from Whaleys for dinner and a block from the beach for sunset. The kitchen was equipped. The grill was nice to have. The screened in porch was a nice place to see deer and dogs going by. We really appreciated the shampoo, conditioner and soap in the bathroom dispensers. What a nice touch! Hand soap and a starter kitchen kit were also welcomed amenities. The layout is efficient and great for separation and group time. We had a wonderful stay! Would definitely rent again!

Family vacation

We have been visiting Edisto for more than 40 years. As our group has gotten smaller we have been exploring new houses. Toes in the Sand did the job! We enjoyed the house only a block from the beach. Had deer in the yard every morning. The house was clean and easy to keep clean. Will use Vacasa again to find another house next year.

Location Great/ Home Kinda Dirty

The house was pretty dirty, we had to clean the toilets when we got there, the bedding seemed mostly clean, and a lot of the stuff you would use to cook in the kitchen is in really bad shape. With all of that said the location to the beach was amazing, the beds were comfy, and we overall enjoyed our stay. The cleanliness could use some work and the kitchen stuff needs some tlc.

Great weekend rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this home for a long, wedding weekend in Edisto. It was perfect for our two kids, my parents, a friend, my husband and myself. The kids enjoyed the screened porch and saw some deer on the evening walks. Close walking distance to the ocean. You can see a piece of the ocean from the screened porch as well. We were very pleased with the home.

Needs some attention to earn 5 stars.

Kitchen appliances need replacing; toaster, toaster oven, drip coffeemaker. Non stick pots /pans old and Teflon heavily scratched /flaking (hazard), replace pots /pans . Burned out and some missing light bulbs in kitchen. Back patio needs a good cleaning, pressure wash. Tv sound bar does not work and the credenza under tv is falling apart.

The house is okay.

The home was okay. The rental company immediately responded when we needed something fixed which was great. 2 of the 3 queen size beds were comfortable. Linens were included but the sheets were very scratchy. The dressers in the bedrooms were broken. The kitchen could be de-cluttered some and there was no place to store non-refrigerated food. There is a beautiful oak tree in the back but the droppings got all over the porch, your cars and underneath the house. There isn’t an outlet to plug any thing in underneath the house either. All in all, the house was clean but we are not interested in renting again.

Great get away

Property was as shown in photos. Very clean when we arrived. Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of room and enjoyed screen in patio. Easy access to beach. Enjoyed our very much.

Good house- not very clean

The house had a great location we loved the short walk to the beach and the bike path being right there, but the house was not the cleanest. Dirt and dust on the baseboards and the sink in one of the bathrooms had sand in it upon our arrival. We checked in at 4 when we were supposed to and someone was still there doing stuff while we were unloading but it just didn’t seem like it was clean and disinfected very well. There were also a lot of cockroaches multiple times throughout our stay. We've stayed in edisto before at a different house and have not ever had an issue with cockroaches in the house.

Renovated home, great location

Easy layout for 3 families (3 couples, 2 toddlers, 3 babies!). The front queen bedroom has true blackout curtains which was so nice. Kitchen was well-equipped with cookware. Beautiful nature trail directly behind the house, which you can follow to multiple beach spots. Recommend making a trip to Driftwood Beach while visiting Edisto. About 30 minutes drive from Airbnb, but with it for a picnic and sight seeing.
