Composed of high ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and modern fixtures, you can continue to enjoy lovely views from the interior of your stay. The open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen maximize family time. Sit back and enjoy each other's company in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the living room. When hunger arises, the well-appointed kitchen presents a full suite of stainless steel appliances and gleaming countertops. Down the hallway, check out the bedrooms, all adorned with high-quality linens and ample natural lighting. A private washer/dryer and central air-conditioning tie together the stellar interior amenities. Near your stay, indulge in adventure after adventure at Saugatuck Dune Rides, Ravines Golf Club, Saugatuck Dunes State Park, Park Theatre, Mt. Pisgah - Historic Ottawa Beach, and further up the road at Bittersweet Ski Resort. This house had such a chill vibe, private and close to all the major towns! We were in town for the Tulip Festival in Holland and it was so close!

Our adult family of 5 stayed at the "Modern Home" in Fennville. This was a beautiful home and property-we were very impressed upon entry. Lots of windows and natural light on a breath-taking wooded acre. Very quiet and feels secluded. We really enjoyed viewing the sunset over the lake, just a short walk down the road every evening! The closest shore access is about 1.25 mi up the road. Get there early as the parking lot is small. The owners were kind enough to provide 2 beach chairs and 2 functioning bikes that we used. We were happy to find jigsaw puzzles and games in a bench seat. No one had any complaints about bed comfort. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The negatives were that there is no shopping or dining within walking distance. Although the house was very clean, there were stains on some uphostered furniture and carpets and marks on some walls, which could bother some. The property is apparently new to the rental market, so there were no window coverings in 2 bedrooms, nor a microwave nor toaster oven, but it seems they are continuing to add amernities. We really appreciated that the local management hung a set of curtains on a window in the master during our stay to help with privacy (bring eye shades for morning light if you are sensitive). The Vuestay management office in Saugatuck is closed on Sunday, and we did not get a response that day. Otherwise, they were very responsive to questions and pursued getting the correct information if they were unsure.

We're delighted the natural light, the wooded acre, and those evening sunsets over the lake made such an impression, and it's lovely to hear the beach chairs, bikes, puzzles, and games all got good use during your stay. You're right that the home is newer to the rental market, and the team is continuing to add amenities, so we appreciate you noting the missing window coverings and small kitchen items. We're glad the local team was able to hang curtains in the master while you were here, and your note about eye shades for morning light is a thoughtful one for future guests. We've shared your observations about the upholstery, carpets, and wall marks with our housekeeping team to look into. Arriving on Sun, 6/28, my family & I noticed right away that the house was warm & humid. I changed the thermostat to 67 & settled in. After dinner, the temperature was at 74. We realized then the A/C was not working.Immediately, I texted the contact number & emailed the account that they provided. I also messaged the host through Vrbo. No reply all night. Despite Vuestay’s claim on their website that it provides “24/7 local support,” it was false. I woke up early the next morning. Still no response from host. So, I chatted with Vrbo 24/7 Cust. Care. They emailed Vuestay & said that if the A/C issue is not addressed within 5 hours, I would get a full refund & Vrbo would find me another property. Magically, within an hour, Vuestay’s local management rep named Robert texted me about the issue.Robert eventually informed me that the A/C repair guy won't come until Tuesday (so far, we’ve had 2 nights out of 4 without A/C during a midwest heatwave). So, I requested that he bring by 4 space fans. He did, but his first comment when he walked into the increasingly warm/humid house: “You know, it really doesn’t feel that bad in here.” Quality customer care there. That night, even with fans, the temp reached 78 degrees on the main floor.Vuestay has offered to refund me for the 2 nights without A/C. I requested the transaction to be through Zelle so it’s quicker & more dependable, but they said no. So far, no refund yet.Otherwise, spacious house, near lake, and quiet.

Thank you for taking the tine out to share your review. We're glad the house itself felt spacious and quiet, and that the lakeside setting worked well for your family. We're sorry that the air conditioning failed during your stay and that the response overnight did not reach the local team as quickly as it should have during a Midwest heatwave. That falls short of the standard we hold, and both the timing of our support and the comment you received when the fans were dropped off have been shared with our local team. The comment made was a genuine reaction to the temperature in the home and was not meant to diminish what the guests were experiencing. The local team contacted the guest as soon as they were notified of the issue and visited the home shortly after contacting the guest. It was determined very quickly that the a/c would need repair and the local team was able to get someone there the next day. Please note the guest left the review 3 days after their stay ended and a refund would take a bit longer to get to the guest. The VueStay Team

The home was beautiful. There were plenty of towels and the bed were very comfortable but the maintenance and communication was poor. There was an automatic response every time I asked a question. The floor was not clean and there was a huge ant problem.
