The space

When you step inside, the house opens into a sun-drenched, high-ceiling living room with oversized windows, a gas fireplace, and a big L‑shaped couch that practically insists everyone pile in for conversation, games, or a cozy wind‑down after a day at Green Lake. We have a modern art collection throughout the house.

Just off the living room sits an artist’s studio—a flexible, light‑filled space with a desk, Peloton bike, weight set, and yoga mats. Whether you’re squeezing in a workout, catching up on emails, or simply enjoying a quiet corner, it’s a surprisingly peaceful retreat tucked right into the main floor.



Also on this level is a comfortable bedroom with a double bed and a dedicated desk setup with a monitor, perfect for anyone who needs a little workspace during their stay. It sits next to our newly remodeled bathroom.



Upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms: one with a queen bed and a skylight that fills the room with soft natural light, and another with a single bed and a second desk‑and‑monitor setup. It’s an easy, flexible layout for families, friends, or groups who want both shared spaces and quiet corners.



The kitchen is spacious, well-equipped, with plenty of room for meal prep and a dining area that naturally becomes the gathering spot for morning coffee, dinners or late‑night snacks. 



Step through the sliding door, and you’re on a large deck with outdoor furniture and a BBQ—perfect for summer evenings, long conversations, and lingering meals. 



If you’re visiting while the garden is producing, feel free to pick fresh lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes; it’s part of the charm.



The backyard and side yard are fully fenced, offering privacy and a safe place for kids and dogs.



And the location is hard to beat: just five blocks from Green Lake, where you’ll find the 3‑mile walking loop, paddleboard, sailing and boat rental, paddleball courts, tennis, soccer fields and a 3-par golf course. All are less than 10 minutes from downtown Seattle and 5 minutes from the University of Washington.
