With four bedrooms, there will be plenty of room for the home family to spread out or gather together with ease. The water's edge is mere steps away, so you can easily launch kayaks, fish, or take a refreshing dip come summer. Inside, the full kitchen will be calling your name to show off your favorite recipes, as all of the major appliances, cookware, and utensils are provided.



The living room will be waiting to host movie nights with a flatscreen TV and comfortable furnishings. When you want to venture out a bit, the shared pool and tennis courts will be just the place to soak up some sunshine! We had a nice, cozy stay at Holler Cottage. This was our first time visiting Lake Junaluska, and it was hard to beat the views from the front porch and the proximity to the lake and walking trail. The home was well-appointed, and the host was very communicative. Additionally, we appreciated that the decor paid honor to the history of the home. Our three-generation crew thoroughly enjoyed all that Haywood County had to offer and definitely would stay here again!

Charming Older Home

Home has great views of Lake Junaluska & is centrally located on the campus. Close to Maggie Valley & downtown Weaverville. Plenty of furniture for hanging out & although home is holder, the inside was very clean.

Perfect, Peaceful Getaway

A beautiful old house full of memories and antiques and special touches - perfect for all of us, from age 2 to 74 - completely supplied with everything needed to cook, bathe, sleep, and just enjoy the view from the expansive front porch, overlooking Lake Junaluska.

Location, location, location

You can’t beat the views from Holler Cottage. We started each day sitting on the front porch overlooking Lake Junaluska with a cup of tea. The home has plenty of beds for a family get together, and the kitchen is well appointed.

Loved every minute!

Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Loved the character of the home, and the front porch was definitely the highlight with its breathtaking view of the lake! Our kids had a ball. We will definitely be visiting again!

A wonderful weekend

We had a fantastic weekend at this house. It was our second time staying at this house. The view of the lake is breath taking. The four rooms are big enough for our entire family to stay together on vacation. We highly recommend staying here.

Come for the view, not the furnishings

We've rented this house twice for a family gathering. Love: the view, the nostalgic feel, the well-equipped kitchen for serving a crowd. Don't love: the beds(!), uncomfortable seating on the porch and living room.

Historic cottage by the lake

Charming family home with expansive lake view. Feels like staying in grandma’s house, although kitchen and baths have been updated. Kitchen is fully supplied with everything most guests would need for preparing family meals. Very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Older Lake House

Everything about this house said that it had been there a long time. The furniture and all of the amenities reflected back to a time gone by. The kitchen and restrooms had been updated.

Beautiful view of Lake Junaluska

Old but well maintained cottage with great view of the lake from its large back deck. Fairly easy access to house and good parking. We had a very nice visit. Walking around the lake in the evening a real pleasure. Easy access to waynesville and blue ridge parkway. Maggie not far either if that’s your gig. I think this place would work great for a family with younger kids. Or 2-4 adults. Beyond that would feel cramped.
