Sunset Villas - Affordable Open Waterfront Accommodations with Dockage & Ramp

Sunset Villas is a very small lodge located on the tiny and quaint island of Conch Key (mile marker 63 - between Marathon and Islamorada). This listing is for our 1-bedroom OPEN WATERFRONT suite. This suite comes with complimentary deep-water dockage (park your boat right in front of your suite!), use of our on-site boat ramp and a full kitchen. .

We are located just southwest of Long Key Channel, you can be in the Atlantic Ocean in 5 minutes for fishing, lobstering, snorkeling and diving. We can refer you to local fishing, diving, or snorkeling charters. Please note that we do not allow Jet Skis at our location.

The 1-bedroom (700 square feet) has a King size bed as well as a pull-out futon and accommodates 2 people. This villa has a spacious living & dining area and a full size kitchen. We know you will be very happy with the size and quality of our accommodations.

We provide our guests with a comfortable outdoor area, which includes a gas grill, hammock, a tree top deck, and two bicycles for touring the island and fishing bridge. We also have an ocean kayak available for guest use free of charge! We have a swim ladder from our docks for snorkeling and swimming in the clear waters that surround our location.

We think we offer the best value OPEN WATERFRONT accommodation in the beautiful Florida Keys!

Please note that we have a 1 month minimum during January, February and March. Additionally we do not take reservations more than 1 year in advance.

Regulatory note: Sunset Villas is a lawfully established and permitted (formerly Harry's Fishing Lodge, est. 1960) transient public lodging establishment that is licensed and inspected by the State of Florida. We meet or exceed all State of Florida requirements under Chapter 509 of the Florida Statutes including, but not limited to, life safety, fire safety, sanitation and waste management. Our property also provides 24 hour on-site management, and has an absolute maximum occupancy of 2 people per bedroom. Rest assured your stay with us will be safe, quiet and more enjoyable than a vacation rental.

Rentals must run within a Saturday to Saturday time frame. Therefore, 5 night stays must start on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
Parking for 1 vehicle and 1 boat trailer. Trailer must be less than 26' long. Jet Skis are not allowed. PLS email us if you plan on bringing a boat.
All renters are expected to act in a responsible manner. Renters who adversely affect the stay of others or our neighbors will be asked to leave.

Relax and Fish vacation

Loved it here. Quiet, friendly place with amazing sunsets and our boat parked a few feet from the door. A short drive to Marathon and Islamarada.

Bill and Katrina are wonderful people. Their villas are clean, spacious, and located in paradise. Breathtaking views, great fishing and unbelievable location all added up to one of the best vacations of our life.

Great location, Fantastic Sunsets!

This stay at Bill and Katrina's rental will rank as one of our all time favorites! The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The unit was very clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed. Beautiful Property

Located right on the Gulf side of the Keys. So very relaxing. This is an excellent location mid way down the Keys between Key Largo and Key West. Many close beaches and a walk/bike path close by. Loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is absolutely nothing I would change or suggest for this property. The place is immaculate and so welcoming and comfortable. Bill and Katrina are incredibly friendly and helpful in suggesting places to check out. We loved it here and hope to return again as soon as we can!!

Epic sunsets

We looked forward to our stay for months and we weren't disappointed. The location - in between Islamorada & Marathon - was very convenient. Easy drive down to Key West. The unit was clean & cool, the A/C does a good job & that's important in south FL. We really enjoyed the fishing off the dock. There's tarpon & snapper every night & plenty of bait to attract them. The property is really quaint & there's plenty of places to enjoy the epic sunsets. The owners were very friendly & helpful. I personally loved hanging out with their Lab, Cuda! Having the boat ramp right there & the boat docked right outside our door made it so easy to just get in it & go. It's the only way to go if you're bringing your boat. We had a great time.

Everything I hoped for and more

I've vacationed in the Keys several times over the last ten years and so, I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for when I found the listing for Sunset Villas. In particular, I wanted a place where I could snorkel and catch fish without leaving the property. Sunset Villas fulfilled those expectations and more. I caught snapper and tarpon every day, all within 100 feet of the door of the apartment! While snorkeling there, I saw lobster, a sea turtle, a Cushion sea star, and several species of fish, including Gray Angelfish, Spadefish, Parrotfish, Cardinalfish, and a grouper. I also saw a manatee from the dock on three days of my five-day visit. And in the evenings, I was treated to beautiful sunsets while eating fresh fish in front of the apartment. The apartment was up-to-date, well appointed, very clean, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable and I slept very well there. Bill, the owner, was extremely cordial. He took me on a leisurely tour of the property when I checked in and, during my stay, he offered a few recommendations on things to do and places to eat. He also shared several fishing tips and even netted some bait for me one morning! Sunset Villas is a great place to stay and I'm really looking forward to returning.

Beautiful location

Cozy paradise

What an amazing place. Everything I needed was perfectly provided; shade, sun, clouds, fish, pelicans, privacy when I wanted it, company when I felt like talking. Every day I walked to the nearby bridge for sunrise; every evening I spent two hours watching the colors bounce off clouds and water. I hiked trails at Long Key State Park but most of the time I stayed in my spacious apartment, quilting, painting, and reading. The bed was great, the WiFi strong, the kitchen well-provisioned. What a perfect place to get away.

Great place modern well kept up

This is the place for you if you have a boat. Dont get me wrong its not just for boaters. First they have there own boat ramp easy in and out. Sunsets are amazing, the back area and docks are great. The inside is updated and clean, unlike most of the other places. Would i stay here again absolutely. David

Sunset Villas on Conch Key, which was formerly known and operated as Harry's Fishing Lodge, is owned and operated by Capt. Bill and Katrina Wiatt. Bill and Katrina met at Virginia Tech in the '80s, lived in Texas during the '90s, then 'kicked the corporate life' and purchased this beautiful Conch Key property in 1996.

We also have boat dockage directly on the Gulf of Mexico with access to the Atlantic Ocean in less than 5 minutes via the Long Key Channel Bridge. Conch Key still has the feel of the 'old-time' Keys, so come and visit and see why we have over 85% return customers staying with us.
