The host was responsive when we reported that the internet was not working, and helped us resolve it quickly. Very close to the beach. 3 min drive.We chose this property because it was advertised as an apartment that sleeps five. While we understood there was no kitchen, the accommodations we received were not what we expected based on the listing description and photographs.Before our arrival, the host informed us there had been a previous leak and that there was “a hole in the sheetrock.” We agreed because we assumed it was a relatively minor repair. When we arrived, we found that a large section of the ceiling DIRECTLY ABOVE THE BED was missing. Had we been shown a photo of the actual damage beforehand, we would have been able to make a fully informed decision about whether to proceed with the reservation.The space itself was a single open room with one bed, a couch, a bathroom, and a washer/dryer area. The listing photos did not accurately convey the size, layout, or condition of the space we experienced.The property also had several cleanliness and maintenance issues during our stay, including:* Stained towels and towels*Multiple missing sheets * Decorative throw blankets instead of proper bedding for the air mattress.* Large stains on the couch.* A bathroom door that would not latch or lock.* 3 cockroaches in the bathroom during our stay.* A burned-out exterior light at the entrance.* Photo equipment and a hanging backdrop occupying part of the room
